My Youth Began With Him

Huo Mian nodded. “That’s possible. You guys continue with your makeup. When it’s time, you two go on stage and present yourselves well.”

Huo Mian patted her daughters on the shoulders and left the dressing room.

Little Bean’s words reminded her of something.

She really should go and see Jiang Xiaowei.

Regardless of the medicine she was going to prescribe, Jiang Xiaowei was a famous psychologist in China.

Other than helping people treat their mental illnesses, she also had another skill – hypnosis…

It was said that hypnosis could awaken some things deep in one’s heart, including things that one had forgotten for a long time.

Therefore, Huo Mian thought that after their coming-of-age ceremony, she should ask Jiang Xiaowei to hypnotize her.

‘Let’s see if I can find something out of this. Let’s see what is going on about that boy’s familiar face.’

At 11:15 A.M.

The host came on stage to liven up the atmosphere. At this time, the lawn in front of South Hill Manor was already filled with 7,800 people.

This host was invited from the capital city and was said to be a very famous host. He was a top student at Beijing University.

He was a tall, thin, and handsome boy. His way of speech was humorous and interesting. Right from the opening scene, he had already piqued everyone’s interest.

When the auspicious hour arrived, he recited an ancient poem before Pudding and Little Bean appeared.

It matched the dance of the women dressed as ancient palace maids on the stage and the classical music playing.

A pleasant voice sounded – “Clouds seem so polychrome, while the meteors convey spite and the remote Milky Way has no ends. Coming across this beautiful scene on a good day, for the lovers, it means much more than anything. Softness and sentiment make love deeper than water, making one feel a huge distance, but the separation is a must, after all, crossing this Magpie Bridge. If love between both sides can last for aye, why is there a need to stay together every morning and evening.”

Coincidentally, the author of the poem was also surnamed Qin. His name was Guan, and he might even be an ancestor of the Qin family.

After he finished reciting the poem, the emcee shouted in an impassioned voice, “Next, let us welcome today’s two main characters with the most enthusiastic applause, Miss Qin Zhaozhao and Miss Qin Mumu.”

The classical music sounded…

Pudding and Little Bean slowly walked out from backstage with the help of four women dressed as palace maids.

Then, they carefully walked up the stairs…

At the back of the crowd, a boy wearing a black cap stood there and looked at Pudding with tender eyes.

Wei Yunchu sneaked in quietly with the invitation Jiang Xiaowei had helped him with.

Even Wei Liao didn’t know that, as he was sitting in the first row with Rick, Tang Chuan, and Ni Yang.

Pudding and Little Bean followed through the traditional customs of the Han Dynasty.

They bowed to their parents and elders, thanking them for raising them.

Then, the emcee said softly, “The remaining time is reserved for the two main characters. They seem to have something to say to the guests.”

“Sis, are you speaking first?” Little Bean whispered to Pudding.

“You go first,” Pudding said calmly.

Little Bean happily took over the microphone and spoke from the bottom of her heart… Those were lines she had written in advance, and she had memorized them thoroughly.

Pudding, on the other hand, looked like she was dazed…

When she looked down the stage just now, she had unintentionally caught a glimpse of someone…

Yes, that person was at the back of the crowd. He was wearing an inconspicuous black shirt and a hat.

But that feeling was irreplaceable…

Pudding thought she was seeing things, so she took a few more glances. However, when she looked again, he was gone.

“Sis, it’s your turn,” Little Bean whispered.

Pudding continued to look for that familiar figure…

“Sis, it’s your turn..” Little Bean stuffed the microphone into Pudding’s hand and reminded her.
