My Youth Began With Him

“No, we can’t tell them… What if Huo Mian comes back?” Su Yu immediately rejected this idea.

“Okay, but you still have to go back and comfort both of them. Otherwise, they might think that something is wrong, and Auntie Su won’t be enough to hold them back from going out. If they run off, that would be even more dangerous.” Tang Chuan actually wanted to temporarily divert Su Yu’s attention and not let him think about heading out to the sea to look for Huo Mian.

Because of Su Yu’s temperament, if he was unable to find her, it would be a big blow.

If he found her, and it was a corpse, it would be an even bigger blow.

If he found her and she was still alive, that would simply be a miracle with close to zero percent chance of happening.

Everyone understood this logic, and Su Yu may also understand deep down but he was deceiving himself.

“The search and rescue thing ….” Su Yu didn’t seem reassured.

“Leave the search and rescue up to them, they will try their best, I think … the most urgent issue right now is Qin Chu.”

“Alright then.”

In the end, Tang Chuan convinced Su Yu, and the rescue team immediately went to sea to look for Huo Mian.

They would report to them in real-time.

“Wei, why don’t you head back as well… tell Sis-in-Law Xiaowei what’s happening… she has the right to know.” Tang Chuan patted Wei Liao’s shoulder.

“Well, okay. I’ll head back first then go to the hospital and join you,” Wei Liao said.

Tang Chuan nodded his head…

“Chuan… As for Su Yu…” Wei Liao began to speak with concern then stopped.

Being buddies for all these years, this tacit understanding was still there.

Tang Chuan knew what Wei Liao wanted to say and directly nodded. “Don’t worry, I’ll keep an eye on him and make sure he doesn’t do anything crazy.”

“Okay, that’s good then.”

Then, Wei Liao parted with them, and feeling exhausted, he went straight home.

– Military District Hospital –

Su Yu called his grandpa and gave special approval that Qin Chu be admitted to the Army Hospital directly.

Firstly, the medical equipment was more advanced here, and secondly, it was more private.

If GK’s rival companies found out that Qin Chu fell into a coma, they would definitely make a big fuss about it and blow it out of proportion to the media.

When Su Yu and Tang Chuan arrived, Qin Chu had already been taken into the emergency room.

There was only Gao Ran, sitting by himself on a bench with a haggard expression on his face.

“Su Yu, you’re back?”

“How’s Qin Chu doing?” Su Yu asked.

“I’m not sure. I’m also very worried,” Gao Ran said.

“Don’t worry, I trust that he will be coming out of this just fine.”

Subsequently, Su Yu and Tang Chuan also sat next to Gao Ran and continued to wait.

Ten minutes later, Zhu Lingling came in, crying all the way.

Upon seeing them, she was still asking, “Gao Ran, are you serious about what happened to Mian?”

“What are you doing here? Didn’t I tell you not to come over?” Gao Ran was also upset.

“How could I not come with something as big as this? I’m absolutely heartbroken…” Zhu Lingling had cried so much her eyes were bright red.

Then she took out her cell phone and dialed a number as she spoke.

“I think Mian is fine. I just called her. Her cell phone is still on… she may have survived,” Zhu Lingling said.

“Lingling, Mian didn’t bring her cellphone. When she was kidnapped by Huo Siqian, she was still in her pajamas. The phone is probably still at their home in South Hill Manor. Also, something happened to her… We all saw it with our own eyes. We are also very upset. I didn’t even think Huo Siqian was this deranged and capable of something so extreme… But this is the truth, and we have to accept it.”

After Tang Chuan said this, Zhu Lingling hugged her head with her hands and dropped onto the floor, bursting into tears.

“My Mian… how could this be?”

At this time, Qin Ning came in, running all the way and gasping for breath.

After she saw Tang Chuan, she squeezed his arm firmly. “Tang Chuan… how are my brother and my sister-in-law?”
