My Youth Began With Him

When Shen Mingxi entered the room, Huo Yanyan rolled up into a ball in a corner.

She wore loose men’s clothing. The police that brought her in probably put a shirt on her to cover her up.

She faced the wall and was mumbling something that no one could distinguish…

Even though she mistreated Shen Mingxi, he still felt sorry for her when he saw her like this.

“Yanyan,” he said. It had been a long time since he called him only by her name but sadly, Huo Yanyan had no reaction to his call. She continued mumbling…

Shen Mingxi slowly walked over and put his hand on her shoulder gently.

“Yanyan…”

“Ah… Don’t touch me. Don’t touch me… Go away, you devil!”

Huo Yanyan had a huge reaction. She was so scared by the man behind her.

When she turned over, Shen Mingxi was also shocked by the sight.

She was no longer that pretty Huo Yanyan.

Even when she was poor and worked in the mall, she did not look as terrifying as this.

Huo Yanyan’s face was covered in mud, and lipstick was smeared all over her face. She actually looked ridiculous.

Her hair was sticky and wet. It was probably not water. She looked rather disgusting.

“Yanyan, it’s me… Shen Mingxi.”

“Mingxi?”

When she heard his name, Huo Yanyan’s eyes looked slightly different.

“Do you… not remember me anymore?”

“Shen Mingxi?” Huo Yanyan repeated in a small voice.

“Yes. I am Shen Mingxi.”

“Shen Mingxi… you mean traitor! I hate you! Go away! Go away! You and Qin Chu are both the same. They killed my mother and you helped them. I won’t ever forgive you… You indirectly killed her…” Huo Yanyan said with unstable emotions.

Shen Mingxi was no longer mad. He only felt pity and pain.

“Why did you turn out like this? What did Huo Siqian feed you?” Shen Mingxi looked sadly at her.

“Qin Chu… It was Qin Chu. Qin Chu fed me poison. Qin Chu hurt me…”

Huo Yanyan insisted that it was Qin Chu that was behind all of this.

Shen Mingxi no longer said anything. He gazed at Huo Yanyan as she acted crazily: she cried but soon laughed and repeated this cycle.

“Tiantian is with me. I will protect her so don’t worry,” Shen Mingxi whispered.

“Tiantian? Who is Tiantian? Who is Tiantian?”

She even forgot about her own daughter…

Shen Mingxi gave out a long sigh and stood up…

“Qin Chu, don’t run away! I’m going to kill you… You and Huo Mian both should go to hell. You guys hurt my mom and my brother… You guys should all go to hell,” Huo Yanyan shouted. Then she dashed over but was stopped by two female officers. They held onto her shoulders.

“Give her sedatives,” Gao Ran said.

Then, a doctor from the Municipal Public Security Bureau came in immediately and gave Huo Yanyan sedatives. Only then did she fall asleep.

“How long has she been like this?” Shen Mingxi asked after leaving the room.

“When we found her, she was already like this. No, she was a lot worse. You saw that viral video online, right? She was naked and running around in the busiest streets of the city… From the lab samples, we found drugs in her body. She probably isn’t faking it but is under the control of those drugs…”

“Do you know what kind of drug it is?” Shen Mingxi asked.

“We’re not sure. We’re working on it. Right now, we only know there’s a drug that affects the neurons in the brain. There’s also a snake venom compound that causes disillusions… These types of compound drugs are the trickiest to find a cure for…”

“That bastard Huo Siqian. I won’t forgive him…” Shen Mingxi said as he clenched his fist.

“Young Master Shen, if you want to help Huo Yanyan seek revenge from Huo Siqian, I have a plan,” Gao Ran suddenly said.
