My Youth Began With Him

Afraid to be caught, the young nurse left in a hurry before the other nurse came back.

Huo Mian’s coat was a short black cashmere coat. It was drafty in the night and she always felt cold after she got pregnant, so she had put this coat on tonight.

It had two deep pockets; Huo Mian would put small items such as keys in them when she forgot to bring a purse.

She’d never imagine that someone would use her coat in this way…

After finishing her task, the young nurse sent a WeChat message to Huo Yanyan.

“Sis, it’s done. I put it in the pocket of her coat. When she finishes the operation and comes out to change into her coat, the thing will react to her body temperature and show its effects.”

“Okay. I got it.”

Instead of replying, Huo Yanyan transferred 30,000 yuan to her on WeChat.

“Thanks, Sis.” Taking the money, the young nurse immediately changed back to her own clothes and left the hospital, knowing she would be suspected after the news about Huo Mian’s accident spread out.

On the other side, Huo Yanyan walked upstairs to get her suitcases after receiving the message.

“Tiantian, let’s go.” She grabbed her daughter’s hand.

“Mom, it’s dark. Where are you going?”

“Mom will take you to travel.”

“Shall we tell Uncle Shen about it? He’ll be worried about us, right?” the little girl asked innocently.

Hearing the words “Uncle Shen”, Huo Yanyan paused and said, “We don’t need to tell him; he doesn’t care about us.”

– Meanwhile, in the old mansion of the Huo Family –

“Ah-Cheng, did you see it clearly?”

“Yes.”

“You know what to do?”

“Yes. I’ll go and get her.”

“Okay. Go.”

“What about the hospital? When Miss Huo comes out, she will be hurt by that thing…” Ah-Cheng hesitated.

“Don’t worry. I’ll send people there to handle it. Go and do your work.”

“Okay, Boss.”

Taking Huo Siqian’s order, Ah-Cheng led people toward the airport; since he wasn’t alone, he didn’t have an opportunity to call Qin Chu.

He sent an anonymous text message to Qin Chu with a software.

“Save Huo Mian ASAP; poison in her coat.”

When Qin Chu received the message, he was racing toward South Side on the traffic officer’s motorcycle.

Seeing the text message, his face darkened slightly…

He dashed up toward the OR on the fifth floor. As he was racing along the corridor, he saw a care worker of the hospital walking in the opposite direction. Wearing the care worker’s uniform of South Side, the man was big and brawny and had a bag in his hand.

After they passed each other, Qin Chu looked back at the guy, feeling weird.

Arriving at the restroom outside the OR, Qin Chu knocked on the door, and the young nurse immediately got up.

“I’m here for Huo Mian; I’m her husband.”

Hearing his words, the young nurse’s eyes brightened.

“President… President Qin! You’re here to pick up our Deputy Director?”

“Where’s she?”

“She’s in the OR.”

“Where’s her coat?”

“Coat? Oh, it’s hanging here…” The young nurse pointed at the wardrobe helpfully.

Qin Chu walked over and picked up a pair of medical forceps to examine the coat carefully.

He found nothing in it…

He put on rubber gloves and picked up the coat.

“President Qin, you’re…” The young nurse was puzzled.

“My wife’s coat is damaged. I must change it…” Then with his hand protected by the gloves, Qin Chu took Huo Mian’s coat into the washing room and burned it off with a lighter.

Anyway, this coat was not fitting to wear. He knew Ah-Cheng’s message couldn’t be fake.

He just didn’t understand why Huo Siqian would try to kill Mian.
