Child of Destiny

Chapter 2306: Final Stand

...

BOOOOOM!!!

A massive explosion erupted as the Golden Immortal slammed the Divine Hammer downward, crushing everything before Owen under its overwhelming force.

The ground shook violently before sinking inward, forming a massive crater that stretched across a large portion of the battlefield.

Even the enormous canyon created by Donato’s previous attack was caught within the blast, its walls collapsing and merging into the newly formed crater.

However, Owen couldn’t help but frown deeply as he stared at the scene before him.

Despite taking the devastating attack head-on, Donato remained relatively unharmed.

He merely held his massive battle axe above his head, using it to block the enormous Divine Hammer.

However, Donato’s HP Bar had still dropped slightly. The decrease was barely noticeable, but it proved that Owen’s attack had not been completely nullified.

Even so, the fact that Donato had managed to withstand Owen’s strongest attack head-on remained astonishing.

Bang!

While Owen was still recovering his stance after unleashing such a powerful attack, Donato suddenly kicked him in the abdomen.

Swoosh!

Owen was sent flying backward before his body slammed into the wall of the massive crater.

BOOM!

His body was driven deep into the earth, leaving a large indentation in the crater wall.

Seeing this, Samael immediately rushed toward Owen while keeping a close eye on the overall situation.

When he saw that Owen’s Health Bar still had a considerable amount of HP remaining, Samael couldn’t help but breathe a sigh of relief.

”That guy sure is terrifying,” he muttered.

He couldn’t help but recall just how frightening Donato had become after breaking through to the Tier 4 Realm and officially becoming an Enlightened Being.

...

In the meantime, when Owen was keeping Donato occupied, the others were already preparing their own finishing moves.

Swoosh!

The first to make his move was Diablo.

He took advantage of the opening Owen had created to unleash one of his most powerful Skills.

Before Donato could make his next move, he suddenly sensed that the shadow beneath his feet had come alive.

It was no longer mirroring his movements.

Swoosh!

’Shadow Dancer Skill (Pseudo Tier 4): Ancient Shadow – Plundering Specter’

Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

A swarm of black arms suddenly burst out from the shadow beneath Donato’s feet, grabbing his arms and legs and attempting to lock them in place.

Drip! Drip! Drip!

At the same time, all the wounds Donato had suffered from Diablo’s dagger and stiletto during their previous exchanges suddenly began bleeding.

However, what flowed from the wounds was no longer blood. Instead, thick black liquid resembling liquefied shadow seeped out from every injury.

Clank! Clank! Clank!

The strange substance rapidly transformed into countless black chains that wrapped around Donato’s body, further binding him and preventing him from moving freely.

Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!

However, the restraints immediately began snapping apart one after another as Donato’s muscles bulged and he violently tore through the chains.

But before he could completely break free, the living shadow beneath his feet suddenly rose upward and merged into his body.

Donato couldn’t help but raise his brows when he felt nothing happen.

However, he immediately realized that something had changed when he felt the surrounding shadow elemental mana beginning to gather around him.

Indeed, a dark mark had appeared at the center of his forehead. And this mark suddenly throbbed the moment Diablo pointed toward it.

WHOOSH!

Immediately afterward, the entire Shadow World created by Diablo’s Domain suddenly began to move under his command.

’Shadow Dancer Skill (Pseudo Tier 4): Ancient Shadow – Nightfall Dominion’

BOOM!

The entire Shadow World collapsed inward, rapidly converging upon Donato while he was still struggling against the remaining restraints.

Every trace of shadow seemed to be drawn toward the mark on his forehead, flooding into it from every direction.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

The endless darkness crashed down upon Donato, burying him beneath what felt like an abyss without end.

It was as though Diablo was trying to drag the Fortress Master into the deepest depths of absolute darkness.

ROAR!

Donato unleashed a thunderous roar as he violently tore through the remaining shadow restraints and fought against the collapsing Shadow World.

BOOM!

A raging force suddenly surged from his body and erupted into a massive explosion, violently colliding with the collapsing darkness around him.

The clash between the two opposing powers continued for several seconds before flashes of crimson energy suddenly tore through the collapsing Shadow World, destroying it completely.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The residual energy from the clash spread through the surroundings, further widening the fractures that already covered the massive crater.

Donato had managed to destroy Diablo’s attack, but that didn’t mean he had emerged unscathed.

The damage inflicted by Diablo’s techniques was clearly reflected in the HP Bar above his head.

The wounds covering Donato’s body continued to bleed with the strange black substance, making his already monstrous appearance look even more terrifying.

Drip. Drip.

As Donato glared at Diablo, who had clearly exhausted a significant portion of his strength reinforcing the two Pseudo Tier 4 Skills and maximizing their destructive power, he suddenly noticed droplets falling from the sky.

However, this wasn’t water.

It was blood!

Drip. Drip.

The droplets continued to fall until they transformed into a terrifying downpour, reducing visibility across the battlefield to almost nothing.

Donato raised his head.

High above the battlefield, Alucard hovered in the air with his crimson bat wings fully extended behind him.

Unlike his usual ranged attacks, which relied on firearms and blood-forged weapons, Alucard calmly unsheathed the silver rapier hanging at his waist and raised the blade toward the sky.

Shing!

A majestic yet terrifying aura suddenly erupted from his body as an immense surge of Blood Power flooded the surrounding area.

Alucard stared at Donato for several seconds before slowly dragging his rapier downward with a gentle stroke.

Shing!

’Vampiric Ability: Blood Field – Sanguine Squall’

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

A terrifying gale suddenly erupted, sweeping across the battlefield and dragging the crimson rain along with it.

Shing! Shing! Shing!

At the same time, the countless droplets of blood falling from the sky transformed into sharp crimson flashes that shot toward Donato from every direction.

The bloodstorm tore through everything in its path, slicing into the Fortress Master’s already battered body and inflicting even more wounds.

In response, Donato enveloped himself in a dense layer of crimson mana, using it to shield his body from the bloodstorm and the countless razor-sharp droplets raining down upon him.

Clang! Clang! Clang!

The crimson droplets repeatedly struck his armor.

Some were deflected, while others managed to pierce through his defenses and sink deeply into his flesh.

Any individual droplet might not have been enough to threaten Donato, but the sheer number of attacks steadily accumulated damage, causing his HP Bar to continue falling.

More importantly, the blood carried a hidden poison.

The moment the poisoned droplets entered his body, the toxin began spreading through his system.

Combined with the black substance left behind by Diablo’s attacks, the two different poisons continued seeping into Donato’s body, steadily weakening the newly promoted Tier 4 existence.

ROAR!

Donato released yet another terrifying roar that shook the entire region, seemingly enraged by the repeated attacks he had just suffered.

None of the individual attacks had been enough to place him in serious danger.

However, the way each attack seamlessly flowed into the next was gradually forcing Donato into a passive position despite his overwhelming strength.

Even his remaining HP was steadily being drained by the two poisons coursing through his body.

Because of all these factors, Donato’s mental state began to deteriorate.

Madness gradually clouded his mind, while the rage consuming him intensified with every passing moment.

The eerie aura surrounding his body grew increasingly violent.

At the same time, his already massive and enhanced body expanded even further, transforming him into a monstrous seven-meter-tall giant.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

The pressure constantly radiating from his body also grew heavier, forcing everyone around him to instinctively lower themselves under the terrifying presence.

Fortunately, none of them were completely overwhelmed, especially with Shin’s Heaven’s Paradise still covering the battlefield.

Ding~! Ling~! Ling~!

At that exact moment, Donato heard the familiar ringing of Felix’s two-pronged sword.

However, this time, the sound wasn’t intended to attack him through violent vibrations.

Instead, the vibrations resonated with the sounds already filling the surrounding environment.

La! Lala La! La! Lala La!

Felicia’s soothing voice accompanied the ringing melody. Yet to Donato, that gentle song sounded like a terrifying hymn echoing directly within his mind.

The twins had finally found the opportunity to join the offensive with their combined techniques.

However, they weren’t trying to attack Donato’s body. Instead, they targeted his mind.

After the transformation he had just undergone, and the countless attacks layered upon him by Owen, Diablo, and Alucard, Donato’s mental defenses were at their weakest.

His situation was even worse now that he had entered another berserk transformation.

’Divine Sound Art: Song of Desires – Berserk Heaven’

Ding~! Ling~! Ling~!

La! Lala La! La! Lala La!

The strange sounds produced by Felix’s sword and Felicia’s voice resonated with one another before converging into a powerful mental assault.

ROAR!

The attack repeatedly collided with Donato’s mental defenses, further clouding his judgment and dulling his senses.

Shing!

And that was when Shin reappeared!

He suddenly appeared directly before Donato, holding the [Yamato] with both hands.

Unlike his previous attacks, the sword was not under any form of possession. It remained in its most basic state as Shin raised it high above his head.

Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh! Swoosh!

At the same time, all of Shin’s contracted Elemental Spirit Companions manifested behind him as specks of light.

They formed a circular formation before rapidly spinning.

WHOOSH!

The spirits then surged forward, gradually converging upon the [Yamato] and fusing into the sword as Shin brought it crashing downward.

’Elemental Fusion Skill: Ultimate Move – Ragnarök’

Shing!

The instant Shin swung the sword, the entire world seemed to freeze.

The blade passed through everything in its path with seemingly effortless speed.

Snap!

A moment later, the very firmament seemed to split apart, the dimension sliding toward opposite directions as though the world itself had been cleaved in two.

BOOOOOOOM!!!!
