Endless Winter: My Camp Upgrades Infinitely

Chapter 860: Chapter 332: Chen Ying’s New Discovery, Xia Yuning, Good News Abounds_5

Li Xuanling was about to speak when Xia Hong’s voice suddenly came from outside.

”It really is like having one’s wishes fulfilled. Xia Chuan’s daughter has been born. I’ll go over and have a look first and then come back to see you!”

Han Shuang immediately turned around nervously, prepared to bow towards the door, but upon turning her head, she realized there was no one outside. It became clear that Xia Hong had only sent a message; he hadn’t come himself.

”Madam Xiao has given birth, it’s a daughter!”

Li Xuanling nodded her head, her attention focused on Xia Hong’s last words. Her expression clearly softened, and then she thought of something and quickly instructed Han Shuang, ”Since it’s a young lady, have the Craftsmen Department craft a Jade Ring and a jade bracelet for me.”

Since it’s confirmed that Xiao Yu’s child is a daughter, it’s more appropriate for the gift to be a bracelet. The term ”prince” doesn’t exclusively refer to males; more often it denotes someone of noble inheritance. Li Xuanling once held the title of ”Little Prince” in Long Mountain.

”Understood, Madam!”

”A daughter, I remember Xia Hong has already given this little niece a name, right?”

”Yes, Madam, I remember the Lord named her Xia Yuning!”

”Yuzong, Yuning, both sound wonderful. I wonder what name he’ll give to the child in my belly?”

”The Lord is knowledgeable and seemingly all-knowing. I remember the children of the lords from Yuan Cheng, Yue Feng, and Lin Kai all had their names given by the Lord, and they are all very beautiful. If he cares so much about the names of other people’s children, imagine how much more he will consider the names of the two young princes. Rest assured, Madam, the Lord will surely give them a particularly beautiful name!”

Hearing this, Li Xuanling nodded, her face full of smiles.

......

Different from the time when Xia Yuzong was born, as Xiao Yu was giving birth at night this time, the number of people surrounding Xia Chuan’s residence inside and out was ten times more than before, practically a vast sea of people.

Of course, Xia Hong wouldn’t choose to enter through the main gate, otherwise, it would take a very long time just for everyone to pay their respects.

He silently appeared on the second floor of Xia Chuan’s residence, only to see Xiao Kangcheng and a group of people gathered at the door of the room, before lightly coughing twice.

Xiao Hen, on the outermost edge of the crowd, was the first to turn and spot Xia Hong, his face suddenly flushing with excitement. He wanted to greet Xia Hong but stopped seeing Xia Hong raise his hand to halt him, then immediately turned and shouted loudly:

”The Lord is here, the Lord is here, Father, Brother-in-law, the Lord is here!”

”Greetings, my Lord!”

”Greetings, my Lord...”

”Greetings, my Lord!”

...

”All right, no need for formalities, everyone rise, I’ve just come to see my little niece.”

Xia Hong passed through the crowd and arrived at the entrance to Xiao Yu’s room. Xia Chuan had already come out holding his daughter, with Xiao Ning carrying the eight-month-old Xia Yuzong, who was following behind him.

”Dabai... Dabai...”

An unusual scene unfolded. Xia Yuzong, who couldn’t speak yet, reached out his little hands to Xia Hong, gripping forcefully while repeatedly uttering ”Dabai Dabai...”

”It’s not Dabai, it’s Da Bo. Yuzong seems worried that his sister’s birth will make him lose favor in Da Bo’s eyes, and he’s so anxious that he’s started calling out.”

Everyone was already amused by this scene, and upon hearing the teasing of Xia Chuan’s mother-in-law, Lin Lan, they couldn’t help but burst into laughter.

”Hahaha, this little guy is only eight months old and already so crafty.”

”He already knows how to vie for attention with his sister, hahaha.”

”He’s definitely going to be a little clever man in the future!”

”Hahahaha!”

......

Xia Hong couldn’t help but first pinch Xia Yuzong’s chubby cheeks, then slowly took the little niece Xia Yuning from Xia Chuan’s arms.

Indeed, the newborn Xia Yuning also had a Holy Pattern on her forehead.

Xia Hong extended a finger to brush against her small palm, and just like Xia Yuzong back then, Xia Yuning soon impatiently grasped his finger.

”Her power isn’t much weaker than her brother’s!”

Xia Chuan’s face was full of smiles, it was clear he had known beforehand.

”This is the first young miss of the Xia Family, just like when Yuzong was born, let’s pardon five hundred outstanding captives to celebrate!”

Upon hearing Xia Hong say this, everyone was suddenly taken aback.

Considering the current societal structure of Great Xia, with men in external roles and women in internal roles, male precedence over female is an inevitable outcome. Thus, after Xiao Yu’s daughter was born, though people didn’t say anything, they somewhat felt in their hearts that the Lord wouldn’t pay the same attention as when Xia Yuzong was born at the beginning of the year.

But Xia Hong’s decision to pardon five hundred captives once again shattered their preconceived notions.

”Don’t be so surprised. Don’t think women are useless. Li Xuanling is also a woman. Is anyone among you stronger than her?”

Hearing Xia Hong’s question, the men present blushed, and the women immediately raised their heads to nod in agreement.

”Regardless of gender, the fundamental respect for strength in the Ice Abyss will never change. Great Xia doesn’t rigidly enforce men in external roles and women in internal roles; the way of life is entirely your choice. Even if female Nobles emerge in the future, you shouldn’t find it strange.”

Upon hearing these words from Xia Hong, everyone present was immediately shaken to their cores.

Female Nobles!

The Lord’s words imply that women can also become Nobles?

Xiao Ning, and even Xiao Yu, who was lying in bed in the room, looked at their elder brother Xia Hong with eyes full of respect;

Some young women of the Xiao Family, at this moment, gazed at Xia Hong with undisguised admiration and reverence.
