Endless Winter: My Camp Upgrades Infinitely

Chapter 855: Chapter 331: Zhu Shun and Huang Tianxi, Cold Yuan Banquet of Great Xia Year 3, Xia Yuzong (6)

Xia Hong suddenly let out a hearty laugh and raised his glass to everyone.

Everyone, regardless of age or gender, quickly raised their own glasses. Of course, only a few drank alcohol; most had fruit syrup in their cups.

They stood up simultaneously, raising their glasses high towards Xia Hong, and shouted in unison: ”Leader forever, Lady forever, Great Xia forever!”

The sound from the Political Hall instantly carried down to the two floors below.

Members of the Middle and High-level Hunting Team on the second floor, and the Hunting Team on the first floor, all stood up and shouted towards the top floor of the main building:

”Leader forever, Lady forever, Great Xia forever!”

Then it was the Inner City, then the Outer City; all forty-plus thousand people of Great Xia rose and shouted towards the Political Hall.

”Leader forever, Lady forever, Great Xia forever!”

These three shouts completely marked the passing of the Second Year of Great Xia, while also heralding the beginning of the third year. Everyone’s faces were filled with happy and contented smiles, their eyes brimming with hope for the coming year.

After the ceremony, it was a night of lively exchanges.

Everyone drank joyfully until dawn, before returning home.

The Cold Yuan Banquet lasts only one night, but the Cold Element Festival continues for a full half month, so the lively scene in Xia City is far from over.

Year Three of Great Xia, the fifteenth day of the first month.

A festive event elevated the joyful atmosphere of this Cold Element Festival to a new level.

Early morning on the fifteenth, outside Residence No. 1 closest to the main building, over a hundred people gathered, all faces filled with joy.

”Is it soon?”

”It’s the Lady giving birth, right?”

”The Lady is Xiao Ning; how timely, giving birth on the last day of the Cold Element Festival, truly significant!”

”My daughter was born last year. I wish she could be betrothed to the Minister’s eldest son.”

”My daughter is only three this year; it’s quite suitable too.”

”Oh, no way! You want a girl betrothed to a younger boy? Why are you all joining in the fun? My wife is due in July this year, might also be a girl, more suitable for mine.”

”Hahaha, you all have such wonderful imaginations.”

......

It turns out, Xia Chuan’s wife Xiao Ning is due today.

Though they teased each other, they deliberately lowered their voices, fearing they might disturb the woman in labor inside.

”The Minister’s father-in-law didn’t come?”

”He went in long ago, rushed in first.”

”More than just the father-in-law, the Lord and Lady also came; they’re all waiting to see the young lord’s face first!”

”The Lord came too? Yes, yes, for he’s the big uncle after all.”

”It’s all decided; the young lord’s name will be Yuzong.”

......

After all, it was the first birth, so everyone unanimously assumed Xiao Ning carried a boy, clearly hoping for a festive occasion.

”Wah... Wah...”

Over a hundred people, all at Cold Resistance Level, naturally heard everything clearly in the residence. The instant the baby’s cry was heard, everyone closed their mouths, turning towards the inside with joyful faces.

”Hahaha, great, Xia Yuzong, our Xia Family officially has a continuation from today, hahaha...”

Hearing Xia Hong’s hearty laughter inside, everyone burst into laughter.

Clearly, their festive wishes were right!

Xiao Ning gave birth to a boy.

The Minister’s eldest son, Xia Yuzong, has arrived!

......

Inside the residence, Xia Hong just received the child from father Xia Chuan, his face full of smiles. Especially upon seeing the clear vertical Holy Pattern on the child’s forehead, his eyes were filled with excitement.

Everyone at Great Xia Camp who has lived within the Holy Tripod’s radiation area for a period will automatically receive an invisible Holy Pattern Bloodline, but it requires cultivation to activate, and it’s not easy.

Currently, Great Xia generally requires Cold Resistance Level to activate the Holy Pattern Bloodline.

But his nephew Xia Yuzong, held in his arms, was born with it.

Xia Hong, filled with joy, couldn’t help but reach out and poke his nephew’s small cheek with his index finger.

Unexpectedly, though Xia Yuzong had yet to open his eyes, upon being poked twice, he reached out, seemingly impatient, to grasp Xia Hong’s finger.

”Mmm...”

He actually clenched Xia Hong’s index finger hard and started pushing away.

Feeling the grip force from his finger, Xia Hong’s face froze in surprise.

”Good boy, this strength must be over a hundred pounds...”

Mind you, this is a newborn!

”Brother, how’s my boy’s strength?”

Xia Chuan noticed the look of shock on Xia Hong’s face, his mouth also full of uncontrollable smiles. Clearly, having just held Xia Yuzong, he already experienced the strength.

”This boy is remarkably talented, destined to be a dragon of our Xia Family!”

The unintentional words from Xia Hong were heard by the midwives and maids, including Xia Chuan, in-laws Xiao Kangcheng and Lin Lan, Xiao Ning lying on the bed inside the room, and Xiao Yu beside her, instantly revealing joyful smiles.

With the personal admission of Uncle Xia Hong, the Lord, Xia Yuzong’s future path secured a level road, and his potential would undoubtedly be much higher.

Finally receiving the grandson from Xia Hong, Xiao Kangcheng had held him for less than three or four breaths before his wife Lin Lan snatched him away.

Looking at their cherished grandson, Xiao Kangcheng’s spirits couldn’t help but lift slightly:

”This grandson of ours is destined to be extraordinary!”

Xia Yuzong’s birth wasn’t just known by those at Cold Resistance Level; with the Lord Xia Hong announcing the pardon of five hundred excellent prisoners to celebrate his birth, forty-plus thousand people throughout Xia City knew of his presence.

The festive atmosphere of the Cold Element Festival naturally rose to a new level.

The Second Year of Great Xia passed in such a lively and celebratory ambiance.

It’s not only Xia Yuzong’s birth; everyone could clearly feel that after unifying Longyou, the rapidly increased population and the reorganized Seven Departments predestined that the coming new year, Great Xia is bound to witness a rapid development.
