The Evolution Of A Goblin To The Peak

Chapter 1298: Plan to expand

Bargan looked at Brando for a moment before he answered.

“If I’m going to use my example, then it’s definitely much higher. If a normal Tenth Shackle Realm expert has a combat power of ten, then my combat power is around one hundred and fifty. If I fight without holding back, I could unleash a combat power of two hundred, but that would mean destroying everything around me.”

“There is no true limit to how strong someone can become, but that doesn’t mean getting stronger is easy.”

Bargan waved his hand and continued, “Enough of that. It’s too early for you to think about this level. I’ll explain everything in detail once you’ve broken through to the Ninth Shackle Realm.”

Yujin, Brando, Lumilia, and Lynn looked at each other.

Brando then turned back to Bargan and raised his hand.

“One more question, Teacher.”

“Fine. It’s the last question. After this, I won’t answer anything else regarding this topic,” Bargan said with a sigh.

“What about the God-ranks? In terms of your combat power, how strong are they?” Brando asked.

“God entities…?”

Bargan narrowed his eyes for a moment, as if thinking about something. After a while, he finally opened his mouth and answered.

“A minimum of five hundred combat power. If a Tenth Shackle Realm expert has a minimum combat power of ten, then those higher entities have a minimum of five hundred. The difference is simply too great.

“Even a heavily injured higher entity would still possess a combat power of around three hundred. They could unleash strength several times greater than that of a Tenth Shackle Realm expert or a Peak Fifth Stage monster.

“Even if a Tenth Shackle Realm expert wielded a Universal-grade Artifact, there would only be a one percent chance of damaging a heavily injured God whose natural energy defense had been broken.”

Bargan paused before continuing.

“If we’re talking about mortals, then it depends on the severity of the injury. A seriously injured Tenth Shackle Realm expert could potentially be damaged by a mortal who hasn’t broken even a single Shackle, provided they wielded a Dark-grade or Universal-grade Artifact. However, if you’re talking about fighting a God, then it’s a completely different matter.”

Against a God, those artifacts are practically useless.

A God was a completely different level of life. They had transcended time and space and were no longer confined by either.

If a God suffered an injury so severe that it could kill them within the next few seconds, they could barely move. Yet even that slight movement would be equivalent to the strength of multiple Tenth Shackle Realm experts.

Even if such a God couldn’t move at all, their flesh would still be tougher than that of the strongest Tenth Shackle Realm expert or Peak Fifth Stage monster. Moreover, even if someone miraculously managed to cut through their flesh, it would be useless unless they could damage their Principles or Source.

They were higher-dimensional entities.

Bargan clapped his hands and said, “Let’s stop talking about this topic. I know you have other things you need to do, so I won’t keep you any longer.”

The four students nodded and didn’t ask any more questions.

When they looked at their teacher again, Bargan was already gone.

Brando, Lumilia, and Lynn turned to look at Yujin.

Yujin shrugged his shoulders and spread his hands.

“Teacher always disappears like that. He usually goes to the border to see if there are any strange movements from the demons.”

The information that they learned from their teacher was high. It involved various levels of high experts.

They knew that Bargan explained it to them because he knew that they would come into contact with those entities sooner or later.

“We don’t know exactly what happened that caused the demons to stop advancing through the frontlines,” Brando said.

“I heard something when Teacher was talking to the Generals at the frontline.” Yujin paused for a moment before explaining, “I heard that something happened to the demons in the God’s Continent. Tens of thousands of them have perished, including several Tenth Shackle Realm experts.”

“What?!!”

Brando, Lumilia, and Lynn were all shocked.

“I only heard it in passing. It seems that a great battle occurred there, and one of the demons’ hidden headquarters was destroyed. Teacher refused to tell me the exact details.” Yujin shook his head.

“God’s Continent… Souta is there, right?” Lynn asked, a worried expression appearing on her face.

“Yeah.” Lumilia nodded, her frown deepening.

Brando and Yujin remained silent as well.

They knew that something must have happened to Souta. They could no longer contact him through the Transmission Talisman. No matter how many times they tried, the connection wouldn’t go through.

That meant only one thing.

The Transmission Talisman Souta possessed had been destroyed.

“I wonder what happened to Souta…” Lumilia muttered.

She glanced at Yujin, Brando, and Lynn before speaking again.

“I plan to expand the legion once more.”

“Expand?” Yujin raised his eyebrows.

“Mm. You’ve broken through the Eight Shackle Realm. Not just broken through, you jumped to the Intermediate Stage as well.” Lumilia nodded. She glanced at Brando and Lynn before continuing, “We’re also close to breaking through the Eight Shackle Realm, so I think it’s time for us to expand once again. If we were still at our previous level, I wouldn’t even consider it. But things are different now. We’re much stronger than before.”

“I understand. So what do we do?” Yujin asked.

“I plan to expand the legion first. It also helps that Yanagi has reached the Ninth Shackle Realm. With her leading the frontlines, our legion should be able to withstand the pressure of another expansion. After that, I’ll visit Bryan in the Ambrosie Kingdom. Ever since he became a wanted man, he’s been staying there.”

“If Bryan returns, then we’ll be directly opposing the Hunters of the Adventurer Guild…” Yujin muttered.

“That’s exactly why I want to expand. With Yanagi at the front, we’ll be able to defend against their attacks. Besides, we’re far stronger than we were before. We’re all at Hero-rank now, so I think it’s time for us to make our move.”

When Bryan was hunted down by the Hunters of the Adventurer Guild, they hadn’t reached Hero-rank yet. They had no choice but to send Bryan away. They also couldn’t ask Bargan for help, as he was constantly watching the demon frontlines.

After that incident, they trained on the frontlines and fought against thousands of demons. The battles were fierce, and they nearly lost their lives several times while fighting stronger demons.

But in the end, they survived.

And they grew stronger through those battles.

Their experience fighting demons had transformed all of them into fearsome experts.

“So it has finally come to this.” Yujin muttered.

He glanced at Brando, Lynn, and Lumilia before asking, “When are we leaving?”

“Tomorrow,” Brando answered.

Yujin nodded before focusing his gaze on Lumilia.

“Are you truly prepared to openly oppose the Hunters of the Adventurer Guild? You should know that there are numerous powerful Hunters among them. They aren’t people who can be underestimated.”

“Yeah.” Lumilia nodded, determination burning in her eyes. “We’ve gotten stronger. We’ve received a lot of benefits from Souta, so I think it’s time we put them to use. We know the locations of dungeons containing treasures and powerful skills. We even know about those legendary living labyrinths.”

“Then I’m in.” Yujin grinned. “It’s getting tiring staying here. I guess I can finally test whether they’re stronger than the demons I’ve faced.”

“I’ll find a way for our legion to establish contact with the God’s Continent. If we truly can’t contact Souta, then I’ll find another way to reach him.” Lumilia clenched both of her fists.

What they didn’t know was that Souta had spent the past few months in a deep slumber.

During his battle against the demons, all of Souta’s equipment below Dark-grade had been destroyed, including his Transmission Talisman.

While Souta remained unconscious, the world continued to move forward.

In the past few months, Lumilia, Lynn, and the others had reached Hero-rank, making their names known throughout various nations.

“I already informed Teacher about this, so we can leave tomorrow,” Lumilia said.

“It seems you’ve already prepared everything. In that case, we can only follow your arrangement.” Yujin smiled slightly.

“Yeah. Please forgive me for acting without asking for your consent.” Lumilia lowered her head slightly.

“It’s fine, you’re the Acting Commander of our legion.” Yujin waved his hand.

“Don’t be like that. We all know that you’re doing this for everyone.” Brando waved his hand. Suddenly, he recalled something. “What do you think Bryan is doing right now?”

“Probably causing trouble again.” Yujin shrugged his shoulders.

“Hahahaha! He always causes trouble.” Brando laughed.

Lumilia and Lynn chuckled as they recalled Bryan.

“He’s probably as strong as an Eight Shackle Realm expert by now, or maybe even a Ninth Shackle Realm expert. With his current strength, he should be able to handle himself pretty well.” Lumilia said.
