The Evolution Of A Goblin To The Peak

Chapter 1294: Residence of the President

Souta was confident that no one present could defeat him.

Among everyone gathered, only Kessa had even the slightest chance of challenging him.

Even then, she never would.

She had chosen to follow him long before he had surpassed her in strength.

If everyone present joined forces against him, he might very well be defeated.

However, the challenge he had established was strictly a one-on-one battle.

That was also one of the reasons he had dismantled the Tarrant Nation and the Bodam Kingdom before making his move against the Creasant Republic.

Had those three nations united from the beginning, neither Souta nor the Blood Realm would have stood a chance.

Daroias, the former King of the Bodam Kingdom, looked up at Souta with both fists clenched.

He wanted to challenge him.

Yet the fact that Souta had single-handedly annihilated the Creasant Republic’s highest-ranking experts filled him with fear.

Freida, Orszen, and the other Blood Saints each had their own thoughts as they listened to Souta’s words.

Souta continued,

“To me, talent and strength are what matter most. If you possess talent in forging, formations, runes, or potion-making, you will receive my full support. You can attain a high position even without overwhelming strength. As long as you remain within my realm, no one will dare lay a hand on you. As for those who lack talent in those fields, you may earn a Seat through strength alone, just as all of you have done. And if you possess both talent and strength…”

A faint smile appeared on his face.

“I will provide you with all the resources you need.”

Everyone occupying the lower and upper seats had earned their positions through their own strength.

Every one of them was either a Hero-rank expert or a Fifth Stage Monster.

“So…”

Souta’s gaze slowly swept across the assembly before lingering on the Blood Saints seated above.

“For those who wish to take my position…”

“Do your best.”

“I’ll be waiting for your challenge.”

His eyes remained fixed on the upper seats.

Among everyone present, the Blood Saints were the closest to his level of strength.

If anyone in the Blood Realm stood a chance of defeating him, it would be those seated above, the Blood Saints of the Blood Realm.

Souta fell silent for a moment, lightly tapping the armrest of his throne with a finger.

He gave everyone time to think about what he had just said.

After a while, the hall quieted down once more.

Souta swept his gaze across the assembly before continuing,

“The next matter I wish to discuss concerns the Creasant Republic. As you all know, I eliminated most of the republic’s officials and high-ranking experts. It is now in chaos. Many people are panicking and attempting to flee, but I have sealed every entrance and exit to the Depths of Banquet.”

Everyone nodded.

The fall of the Creasant Republic had shaken the entire Depths of Banquet.

As they looked at Souta, they couldn’t help but feel a chill run through them.

After all, he alone was responsible for wiping out nearly all of the republic’s top-tier experts. The only people left in the republic were ordinary citizens and lower-level experts.

Most of its Hero-rank experts had perished in the battle, leaving no one capable of breaking through the lockdown Souta had imposed.

“So, I intend to appoint several of you to govern different regions of the Creasant Republic. The same rules that govern the Blood Realm will apply there. Those entrusted with a territory may keep seventy percent of the resources produced within it. The remaining thirty percent will be submitted to the Blood Palace. As for the Blood Palace…”

Souta paused briefly.

“I plan to construct it above the Blood Realm. In the future, if you need to report something to me or seek an audience, you may come there. Even if I am absent, I will always leave behind a clone. You will always be able to find me there.”

The moment those words fell, many people showed eager expressions.

The opportunity to govern part of the Creasant Republic was too tempting to ignore.

It was an enormous nation that had produced three Ninth Shackle Realm experts and one Advanced Fifth Stage Monster.

Judging from the number of Seventh Shackle Realm, Eighth Shackle Realm, Initial Fifth Stage, and Intermediate Fifth Stage experts it had nurtured, the amount of resources hidden within its territory was nothing short of astronomical.

If they could obtain even a portion of the Creasant Republic, they would gain access to vast resources that would further strengthen themselves and their followers.

“For now…”

Souta paused and glanced toward the Blood Saints seated above.

Kessa and Nightmare Conjurer had no interest in governing the republic.

Tasman was also a suitable candidate, but he was already occupied with the affairs of the Everlasting Kingdom.

That left only the remaining Blood Saints were Freida, Daroias, and Orszen.

The three of them alone were not enough to govern the entire republic, so Souta decided to appoint several Dark Oracles to oversee the remaining territories.

Naturally, the three Blood Saints would each receive the largest share.

That settles it.

Souta explained his arrangements while everyone listened attentively.

Freida, Daroias, and Orszen all agreed without objection.

There was no reason for them to refuse such a generous offer.

Ruling such a vast territory would not only benefit them personally but would also strengthen the forces under their command. Naturally, their influence would continue to grow.

Even so, Souta remained confident that he could suppress them through his own strength.

Freida, Daroias, and Orszen were undeniably powerful, and if they joined forces, they could pose a challenge to him.

Even so…

They were still insignificant compared to the combined might of the Creasant Republic’s army that Souta had defeated only five days earlier.

Souta and the others continued discussing the administration of the Creasant Republic.

As long as they followed the rules he had established, he had no intention of interfering in their governance.

Besides, Souta knew that administration was not his strength, so it was only natural to leave such matters to those more capable.

At present, he was the sole force keeping the Tarrant Nation, the Bodam Kingdom, the Everlasting Kingdom, and the other smaller factions from turning on one another.

If Souta were to disappear, it was easy to imagine what would happen next.

The meeting lasted for another two hours before finally coming to an end.

With that…

The foundation of the Blood Realm had been laid.

Its rules stood firm, with Souta at the center, maintaining order through his overwhelming strength.

No one would dare break those laws unless they were prepared to challenge him.

For now…

There was one more thing he needed to do.

…

Almost every citizen of the republic remained hidden inside their homes.

Fear gripped the entire nation.

No one knew what would happen to them next.

The entire government had fallen at the hands of a single powerful monster, yet there was nothing they could do.

They couldn’t even flee, as the entire country had been placed under lockdown. Anyone who attempted to escape would be executed without mercy.

It didn’t matter whether they were children or adults, men or women, weak or strong.

Anyone who violated the lockdown would be killed.

Souta led a group of people to the former residence of the President of the Creasant Republic.

He glanced around before scanning the entire area using his energy.

Ohm!!

His energy swept across the entire estate, probing every corner.

A moment later, his eyes flashed with a dangerous light.

“As expected.”

He looked down.

The ground beneath his feet collapsed as he descended into a hidden underground chamber constructed from high-grade materials.

Rows of bookshelves lined the room.

Souta walked over to one of them and picked up a book.

He slowly flipped through its pages.

After several minutes, he nodded to himself, confirming his suspicions.

He closed the book and carefully returned it to its place.

Turning around, he said,

“Franklin, have some people collect every book on these shelves. Don’t leave a single one behind.”

He paused before adding,

“Handle them with the utmost care. They are extremely valuable.”

Franklin was taken aback.

For Souta to describe something as extremely valuable, it had to be extraordinary. He walked over to one of the shelves and randomly picked up a book.

As he skimmed through its contents, his eyes widened in surprise.

The book contained a complete and detailed explanation of a Tier 3 Spell.

“Don’t worry. I’ll handle them carefully.”

Franklin gently returned the book to the shelf.

His gaze then fell upon the book Souta had been reading earlier.

Curious, he reached out and picked it up.

As he flipped through the pages, his expression changed drastically.

“Damn…! This is…!”

His eyes widened in disbelief.

The book in his hands wasn’t merely valuable.

It was extremely valuable.

It was a spellbook containing the complete theory, structure, and casting method of a Tier 4 Spell.

“A Forbidden Spell…”
