Three Systems Made the Fake Heiress Unstoppable

Chapter 179: Chapter 179: Subduing the Peeping Tom

Without hesitation, she tightened her grip on the shopping bags, keeping them close to her chest, and quickly but quietly approached.

The creep was glued to his phone screen the whole time. Entirely focused on secretly filming and wondering how much he could capture without getting caught, he didn’t even notice someone approaching.

Chloe York stepped up behind him. Catching him completely off guard, she suddenly raised her hand, grabbed the wrist holding the phone in a vice-like grip, and twisted it upward with all her might.

”Ouch! That hurts! What are you doing?!”

Caught completely by surprise, the man’s face instantly turned pale from the pain. His features contorted into a grimace as he let out a shrill scream, nearly dropping his phone.

He struggled to turn his head. When he realized that the person grabbing him was just a young woman, his expression instantly turned fierce.

”You wretched girl, let go of me! Poking your nose where it doesn’t belong, huh? Believe it or not, I’ll teach you a lesson!”

The commotion finally caught the attention of the woman taking pictures of her child. Willow Kane had been focused on snapping photos of her daughter, Nora. Hearing the sudden argument and cries of pain behind her, she instinctively turned around. She saw the man’s pained expression, the phone in his hand, and the girl firmly gripping his wrist.

A bad premonition instantly flared up in Willow’s heart, and her tone carried a hint of hostility. ”What happened?”

Chloe ignored the creep’s threats. Her grip didn’t loosen at all; if anything, she seemed to apply even more pressure. Hearing Willow, she looked up and replied calmly, ”Miss, he was secretly filming you just now. He was trying to angle his camera up your skirt, so I grabbed him.”

Her words exploded in Willow’s ears like thunder. She had actually been secretly filmed! She glanced down at her skirt, her expression instantly darkening. No one had ever been able to take advantage of her, let alone in such a despicable way.

Seeing that his actions were exposed, the creep didn’t panic at all and adamantly denied it. ”You’re spouting nonsense! I didn’t! I was just playing on my phone. Don’t go around falsely accusing people, little girl! Let go of me!”

Willow called out toward a nearby corner. Two bodyguards in black suits, who had been hiding in the vicinity, immediately sprinted over. Willow had specifically brought these bodyguards along to protect herself and her daughter. Earlier, figuring that the area was filled with parents playing with their kids and devoid of bad people, the two of them had briefly stepped away for a smoke break.

They didn’t expect to hear Willow shouting for them the moment they returned. Seeing her furious expression and grasping the situation, their faces paled. They didn’t dare to delay for a single second. To think that in the brief moment they were gone, someone had dared to take advantage of their boss!

”Miss Kane!” the two men responded in unison. Without waiting for her orders, they moved forward and swiftly subdued the creep, twisting his arms behind his back so he couldn’t move. The phone hit the ground with a CLATTER.

Seeing this, Chloe naturally let go. Although she had plenty of strength, she had no desire to maintain contact with such a filthy man.

Willow bent down, picked up the phone, and opened the photo album. The most recent photos were clearly upskirt shots of herself. And the album didn’t just contain pictures of her; there were photos of other girls too. The man was clearly a serial offender.

The thought of being secretly filmed by someone like this, of her photos ending up in his phone... Willow felt her anger shoot straight to the top of her head. She could barely hold it back and was on the verge of exploding.

She abruptly raised her head, glaring sharply at the two bodyguards. Her voice seethed with fury. ”I told you to stay close and protect me, and this is how you do it?! A grown man was secretly filming me right here, and you noticed absolutely nothing! If this young lady hadn’t intervened today, I would have suffered such a massive indignity! What the hell are you doing?!”

The two bodyguards hung their heads. Hearing Willow’s furious reprimand, their faces filled with guilt as they apologized profusely. ”We’re sorry, Miss! It was a dereliction of duty on our part! We will hand him over to the police immediately. He will not be let off lightly!”

Willow’s chest heaved slightly in anger. Preoccupied with scolding her bodyguards and fuming over the evidence, she hadn’t even paid much attention to Chloe, who had helped her. She simply assumed she was a courageous girl who stepped up, figuring she would properly thank her later.

At the same time, Chloe could tell that this woman had an extraordinary background. Not wanting to get too involved, and considering her task was already completed, she planned to leave.

Right then, Nora trotted over to Chloe, her short little legs going PITTER-PATTER. She hugged Chloe’s leg just as she was about to leave, calling out sweetly in her soft, cute voice, ”Chloe! It’s you!”

That crisp greeting instantly froze Chloe in her tracks.

She thought, ”How could it be Nora? Wait a minute.”

Chloe looked at Willow, who was still glaring furiously at her bodyguards, and then down at Nora. They looked somewhat alike. Furthermore, this woman seemed to have been taking photos of Nora just now. What was their relationship?

Chloe actually already had a guess as to what their relationship was, but she didn’t want to admit it. She refused to acknowledge that she had, once again, saved someone connected to the obnoxious Adrian Kane.

As for Willow, her heart skipped a beat when she heard Nora call out Chloe’s name. Chloe? Wasn’t Chloe the name of the girl her brother—who hadn’t shown any romantic interest in over twenty years—had finally set his sights on?

Only then did Willow finally rest her gaze squarely on Chloe. The girl was very beautiful, yet possessed a touch of heroic spirit. She looked like the type of girl who was neither fragile nor pretentious.

Chloe seemingly didn’t notice Willow’s stare. She crouched down. ”Nora, it’s you!”

”Chloe, I didn’t expect to run into you here! Do you think we have a special connection?”

”Yeah, we do have a special connection. But I have some things to do right now, so I have to go first. Let’s play together next time, okay?” Chloe didn’t want to formally acquaint herself with Willow.

Hearing that Chloe was about to leave, Nora hugged her tighter, refusing to let her go. ”Chloe, I haven’t introduced you to my mommy yet!”

With that, Nora looked at Willow. ”Mommy, this is Chloe! She’s super nice!” After saying that, she happily introduced Willow to Chloe. ”Chloe, this is my mommy. Her name is Willow Kane.”

”So you’re Chloe. Thank you so much,” Willow said. ”If it hadn’t been for you today, it would have been mortifying to be secretly filmed like that. Besides, who knows how many other girls would have fallen victim to him.”

Realizing she couldn’t avoid the interaction, Chloe smiled, her tone modest. ”You’re welcome, Miss Kane. Anyone would have stepped in to help if they saw something like that. It was no trouble at all.”

”You can’t say that; I really owe you today,” Willow said hurriedly. She shot a glance at the man being restrained by the bodyguards. ”Call the police immediately! Hand this man over to them and have him dealt with according to the law!”
