Three Systems Made the Fake Heiress Unstoppable

Chapter 51: Chapter 51: The Principal Pays a Visit

Stella Winters was also completely baffled. The two of them had been running just fine, so why had Chloe suddenly veered off to the side carrying another girl? ’I haven’t even gotten a princess carry from her yet, and now someone else has beaten me to it,’ she pouted internally.

Watching Chloe York run so fast, especially while carrying a female classmate, made the gym teacher’s eyes light up. ’What a promising talent! She’d be perfect for running or even the shot put.’

”Sir, she hasn’t even finished her run. Isn’t it disrespectful for her to just leave the track like that?” Seeing Chloe York run off, Brooke York went up to the gym teacher to snitch.

”I think she probably had a good reason. Besides, it’s free time after the run anyway. It’s fine!” the gym teacher said before turning and walking away, clearly not intending to humor Brooke York.

Sensing the gym teacher’s dismissal, Brooke York stomped her foot in anger. ’One after another, they’re all like this. Hmph! I’ll just wait for the day they all come begging. When I get into the best university, they’ll definitely regret not trying to talk to me more, not trying to get on my good side.’

After Chloe brought the girl to the infirmary, the school nurse learned that she was in so much pain from her period that she had nearly fainted. The nurse quickly gave her some medicine that wouldn’t interfere with her cycle.

Godly Rich System: [Congratulations, Host. Mission complete. Reward: 300 yuan.]

After a good while, the girl finally came to. The first thing she saw was Chloe York. Glancing around, she realized she was in the infirmary.

”How are you feeling?” Chloe asked when she saw the girl was awake. This time, she hadn’t just dropped her off and left. After all, it was a girl suffering from period cramps; she couldn’t just leave her there alone.

Although she had been in excruciating pain, she could feel someone picking her up and running. Now that she was in the infirmary, she was certain she’d been carried here.

”I’m okay now. Did you bring me to the infirmary?”

”Of course it was her! She princess-carried you all the way here. I was stunned! She’s such a slender girl, yet she ran in here carrying you like the wind.” The school nurse, who had just walked in and overheard the girl, answered for Chloe.

”Thank you, Chloe.” The girl smiled shyly, thanking Chloe as the tips of her ears turned bright red.

”It was nothing. I’m just glad you’re okay. I should get going now,” Chloe said, preparing to leave.

”Wait, Chloe! Can I get your contact info? I... I’d like to be friends with you.” The girl took out her phone, her eyes full of hope as she looked at Chloe, wishing she would agree.

”Sure.”

After they exchanged contact information, the girl introduced herself. ”My name is Zoe Roland. I’m a freshman in Class 6.”

”Okay. I’m Chloe York, a senior in Class 6.”

”I know who you are.”

Chloe just smiled. ’That makes sense,’ she thought. ’Is there anyone in this school who doesn’t know me by now?’

After adding her on WeChat, Chloe said, ”Alright, I’m heading out now!”

”Okay.”

Chloe left the infirmary and headed back to her classroom. Watching her leave, Zoe Roland couldn’t wipe the smile off her face for a long time.

When Chloe returned to the classroom, her classmates were curious about why she had suddenly run off carrying someone, but none of them asked. They knew to respect her boundaries.

”Chloe, where did you go just now? Why did you just run off with that girl in your arms?” Listening closely, one could hear a hint of sourness in Stella Winters’s tone.

”She fainted from period cramps, so I took her to the infirmary.”

”Oh, I see. How did you know?”

”I noticed her sitting down on the first lap, and by the second lap, she was lying on the ground.” Chloe’s mind raced as she came up with a casual explanation.

”Oh, okay then!”

Seeing that Stella believed her, Chloe didn’t say anything more and took out a book to read.

News of Chloe York’s heroic rescue quickly spread throughout the school. No one expected that just two days after the last incident, Chloe had saved someone again. A photo of her carrying Zoe Roland was being forwarded like crazy in group chats.

Everywhere she went, she could hear students talking about it.

”Chloe York was running so fast! She was gone in a flash. You could totally call her a speed demon.”

”And she was carrying another girl! Running that fast while keeping her steady... that’s some serious ’boyfriend energy’ right there!”

”I got so excited when I saw that photo! Turns out, as long as they’re cool enough, I’m into them, regardless of gender!”

Chloe remained unaffected and continued with her classes. It was already Friday, and she couldn’t wait for Saturday to arrive.

Speaking of which, she hadn’t had a proper rest since transmigrating here. She was determined to use this weekend to relax properly.

After a full day of classes, Chloe said goodbye to Stella Winters and went straight through the back gate to her apartment complex.

「Kane Group」

”Mr. Kane, it seems Miss York has moved out of the York Family home. She’s currently living in an apartment complex next to her school.”

Adrian Kane, who was in the middle of reviewing a document, paused the hand he was about to sign with. ’Moved out?’

”Bring me tomorrow’s work now.”

The assistant knew Adrian Kane wouldn’t be coming to the office tomorrow. ”Yes, sir,” he replied.

Eager to thank Chloe York, Holly Hughes had urged Jordan Walton to bring her to the York Family’s home first thing in the morning.

”Mr. York, apologies for the intrusion. We’re here because your daughter, Chloe, saved my child. So, I’ve brought my wife and son to express our gratitude.”

Miles York had already heard about the incident when he went to the school, but at the time, he was too busy trying to persuade Chloe York to come home to ask for details. ”So it was your son Chloe saved?”

”That’s right. You didn’t know, Mr. York?”

He only knew that Chloe had saved someone, gone viral, made the news, and been featured in many reports. A lot of his business partners had even approached him about it. But as for how she saved them or who she saved, he truly had no idea. ’No wonder Ethan Prescott said what he did that day.’

”Mr. York, do you know where Chloe is now? My son and I would like to thank her again in person and give her this pennant. She was in such a hurry to get to class last time that we didn’t get a chance to speak properly,” Holly Hughes said, looking at Miles York with an ingratiating smile.

Looking at the pennant in Holly Hughes’s hand, Miles York got an idea. He now knew how he could get Chloe York to move back home. ”She’s not here. Just leave it with me, and I’ll pass it on to her!”

Holly Hughes was a bit reluctant. She would have much preferred to give the pennant to Chloe in person.

”Mr. York told you to leave it, so just leave it! Why are you holding onto it?” Noticing that Miles York’s expression was starting to darken, Jordan Walton snatched the pennant from Holly Hughes’s hands, placed it on the table, and pushed it toward him.

Holly Hughes was unhappy about it, but there was nothing she could do. She realized that in the whole time she’d been here, she hadn’t seen Chloe York at all. ’Could Mr. York have kicked her out?’

The moment she realized this was a possibility, Holly Hughes’s heart ached. ’Chloe York is such a wonderful girl. How could he kick her out?’

”Well, since the pennant has been delivered, we won’t impose any longer. We’ll be on our way now,” Jordan Walton said, standing up to leave.

Holly Hughes deliberately patted her child beside her. With a single look, Sophie Walton, who had been sitting quietly, instantly understood and began to wail, ”I want my lifesaver! I want the pretty big sister!”
