The Entry-plundering Demon Hunter

Chapter 119: Chapter 119: Reinforcements Will Soon Arrive

”Senior Shen, if you want to spar with Lin Yi, maybe some other day. He just got out of the hospital!”

”Exactly! You’re already in university. Bullying a junior who just recovered from his injuries... Aren’t you afraid people will laugh at you?”

Before Lin Yi could say anything,

Sun Tao and Hu Quan immediately jumped to his defense.

Even Zhou Qi thought Shen Yuzhe was here to challenge Lin Yi.

After all, from the moment he arrived at the Martial Arts Hall today,

he had asked if Lin Yi was the most talented disciple here.

He was clearly here for Lin Yi.

As it turned out, Shen Yuzhe glanced at them. ”What’s with you guys? Do I look like the kind of scoundrel who’d kick a man when he’s down? I just want to have a few words with Lin Yi!”

At these words, Lin Yi also smiled.

”Zhou Qi, you guys go on and train. I’ll just have a few words with Senior Shen!”

Hearing this, Zhou Qi and the others nodded.

Sun Tao and Hu Quan added, ”If he tries to bully you, just yell!”

Lin Yi: ”...”

After they had all left,

Lin Yi and Shen Yuzhe went to the rest area and sat down.

”Senior Shen, if you have something to say, just say it.”

Shen Yuzhe chuckled and nodded. ”What do you think of my sister?”

”Who?” Lin Yi was taken aback.

”Shen Mengyi. What do you think of her?”

It dawned on Lin Yi. ”Oh, Shen Mengyi... I think she’s great. She’s talented and willing to work hard. She’s definitely one of the best at her school. Getting into a Martial Arts University in the future shouldn’t be a problem for her!”

”That’s not what I’m asking... Forget it, I’ll just be direct.”

”Do you like her?” Shen Yuzhe asked, getting straight to the point.

Lin Yi was stunned. Shen Mengyi had told him before that her brother was extremely strict with her, especially about not getting close to any boys,

whether from school or outside, it was all the same.

If he ever found out, she’d get a warning at best, and a harsh lesson at worst.

And now today, Shen Yuzhe was asking him something like this directly.

’Could he be here to cause trouble for me?’

Lin Yi hurriedly said, ”Senior Shen, don’t misunderstand. Shen Mengyi and I are just fellow students!”

”I have absolutely no other intentions...”

”No, you can have them!”

”Huh?”

Lin Yi was stunned again, looking at Shen Yuzhe in confusion.

”Actually, the reason I stop Mengyi from dating isn’t because I want to control her, and it’s certainly not to interfere with her life. You understand the difference between the Old District and the New District.”

”When I first got into a Martial Arts University, I wanted to bring her to the New District with me.

But she insisted on staying in the Old District, wanting to prove herself through the martial arts exam!

However, the number of spots for those who can actually pass the martial arts exam and get accepted into a Martial Arts University is limited.

I’m not worried about whether she can get in. But what if the person she chooses can’t get into a Martial Arts University like her?

I’m afraid she’ll get hurt, and might even... give up the chance to enter the New District!

After all, she’s still young and tends to be driven by her emotions, which is why I’ve always interfered!

Ever since I noticed her attitude toward you is completely different from how she treats other guys, I’ve looked into you a bit. With your talent, getting into a Martial Arts University shouldn’t be a problem!

So there wouldn’t be an issue of being in two different places. And Mengyi truly has feelings for you. I can tell as her big brother. So... I want to ask on Mengyi’s behalf!

Do you like her? If you do, I absolutely won’t stand in your way. In fact, I’ll even support you...”

Lin Yi quite agreed with Shen Yuzhe’s perspective.

Shen Mengyi was at an age where she was experiencing the first stirrings of love.

It was very likely she could act impulsively in the heat of the moment.

After all, you could only take the martial arts exam once. If you missed it, it would affect your whole life.

There was no such thing as retaking it.

There was nothing wrong with Shen Yuzhe being strict with Shen Mengyi.

And Lin Yi could understand.

In the end, they were the same type of person, both wanting to rely on the martial arts exam to change their destiny.

Therefore, when it came to the martial arts exam, they couldn’t afford even the slightest mistake.

But there was only about a month left until the martial arts exam.

’For Shen Yuzhe to find him at a time like this and say all this...’

Lin Yi smiled. ”Senior Shen, I understand your hopes for Shen Mengyi, but we really are just fellow students. I have no other intentions besides that!”

”Besides, the martial arts exam is just around the corner. You wouldn’t want Shen Mengyi to slip up because of something like this, right?”

”What’s more, my mind is currently focused entirely on preparing for the exam. Women would only hinder my progress!”

As he finished speaking, Shen Yuzhe stared at him, a look of astonishment on his face.

Lin Yi smiled again and said, ”Senior Shen, is there anything else? If not, I’m going to go train.”

Shen Yuzhe shook his head lightly.

Lin Yi stood up and walked toward the training area.

A moment later, Shen Mengyi hurried over.

”Brother, what did you say to Lin Yi?” Shen Mengyi’s eyes were full of expectation.

Shen Yuzhe smiled. ”Nothing much. This is a critical time for you guys to prepare for the martial arts exam. You can’t be distracted by anything, and that goes for you too!”

”The exam is in less than a month. It’s time to focus!”

”After you both get into a Martial Arts University, I promise I’ll help you win him over...”

Hearing this, a flicker of disappointment passed through Shen Mengyi’s eyes.

’His words sounded fine on the surface, but they didn’t hold up to scrutiny.

Clearly, Lin Yi had rejected her.

Shen Yuzhe was just putting it delicately.’

After a long moment, Shen Mengyi smiled. ”Brother, you’re right. I should be putting all my energy into the martial arts exam. Everything else can wait until after it’s over!”

Seeing his sister pretending to be strong,

Shen Yuzhe sighed inwardly.

’Was this decision a bit too hasty? He had originally intended to help Shen Mengyi and Lin Yi get together.

But it ended up like this instead.’

Watching her retreating figure, Shen Yuzhe’s heart ached for his sister.

...

In the Old Master’s office.

The three captains from the Demon Hunting Bureau were all sitting on the sofa.

Tang Zhan from the Martial Arts Police Station was also among them.

The Old Master looked at the computer screen with a grave expression.

On the screen was footage from the scenes of the family annihilation massacres that had occurred last night.

”We can now confirm that the Blood Drop Organization is behind these family annihilations. They’ve already issued a challenge to us!” Han Bin said with a grim face.

Tang Zhan also nodded. ”That’s right. In each of the annihilated families, there was at least one Martial Artist!”

”In other words, their primary targets are still Martial Artists. They just annihilate the families along the way...”

The Old Master nodded gravely.

”Since they have already declared war, wouldn’t we be a laughingstock if we avoid the fight?”

”Just say it directly. Why did you come looking for me today?”

At his words, Han Bin and Chu Zhengxiong exchanged a look.

Chu Zhengxiong said with a laugh, ”Hehehe... To request reinforcements from the Martial Arts Alliance, of course. We already submitted an application to the Bureau this morning. Teams Two, Four, Six, and Seven might all be coming over!”

”But we’re still a bit short on manpower. So, could we possibly get the Martial Arts Alliance’s Tiger Guard and Golden Robe Guard to participate?”

Hearing this, the Old Master smiled and nodded.

”The Golden Robe Guard is already on its way. I’ve also applied to the Martial Arts Alliance; the Tiger Guard will be dispatched within the next two days. Do you have any other requests?”

When Chu Zhengxiong and the others heard this,

their faces all lit up with joy.

If the Martial Arts Alliance’s Golden Robe Guard and Tiger Guard were joining them,

it would increase their chances of victory by a huge margin.

These two units were composed of elite soldiers, tempered by the trials of the Restricted Area Battlefield.

Every one of them was experienced, and their Cultivation Realms had been raised bit by bit on the battlefield.

Chu Zhengxiong and the others knew all too well how brutal the Restricted Area Battlefield was.

The Fierce Beasts faced there were nothing like the demonic beasts they were used to.

Only those people could be considered true elites.

”Hahaha... The Old Master is the one we can count on.

With their help, this battle is ours to win!”

Chu Zhengxiong burst out laughing.

Everyone else also had joyous looks on their faces, the previous gloom swept away.

It was as if they could all see the dawn of victory.

After a long while, when Chu Zhengxiong, Han Bin, and the others came out of the office,

they glanced around, their brows furrowing.

”Hm? Where are Xiaoyu and Xiaoxue? Weren’t the two of them just here a moment ago?”

Zhan Kai and Sun Lang looked at each other and smiled.

”They got bored waiting and said they were going to the Martial Arts Arena!”

”Martial Arts Arena? Which Martial Arts Arena?”

”Number 5, Coach Yang Yong’s Martial Arts Arena...”
