Zhan Shen: It’s Just a Sacrifice, How Can I Become a Villain?

271: Sun City’s plan!Egypt, Sun City.

Above the magnificent Plaza of Gods, a blazing sun hung in the sky.

Nine colossal pillars of light stood on the plaza, seemingly supporting the entire sky.

Seven Gods sat cross-legged atop the pillars of light, exuding boundless Divine Might.

However, apart from the central pillar of light symbolizing the sun, the other six Gods all looked rather solemn.

”Great Sun God Ra, I still haven’t detected the auras of Osiris and Shu,” said Aisis, the God of Life.

She is an Egyptian God who controls the Authority of Life, thus she is extremely sensitive to the aura of life.

If an Egyptian God were to fall, it would be impossible for it to escape her perception.

But what puzzled Aisis the most now was that Osiris and Shu seemed to have gone missing.

She could neither sense their deaths nor their locations.

”Aisis, could it be that your Divine Power has recently decreased, and your range of perception has shrunk?” asked Set, the God of the Yellow Sand.

”Impossible,” Aisis frowned deeply, ”As long as they are Egyptian Gods, as long as they are on this Earth, I will sense their auras.”

”But it’s been so long, and you still haven’t found the two of them,” said Nut, the God of the Sky.

”I...” Aisis was a little frustrated; she had never encountered such a situation before.

Just as the Gods were arguing, Sun God Ra, seated in the center, slowly opened His eyes.

A brilliant light burst forth from His eyes, and boundless Divine Might swept across the entire plaza.

The many Egyptian Gods living beneath the plaza trembled under this Divine Might.

Sun God Ra, the Supreme God of the Egyptian mythological system, held absolute authority in Sun City.

”No need to argue. Osiris and Shu are not dead,” Sun God Ra slowly said, ”The National Destiny of My Egyptian God Kingdom has not changed.”

There was more than one way to confirm the life and death of a God; it wasn’t just by sensing their aura.

One could also judge the safety of a God through the National Destiny of a God Kingdom.

For example, in the Egyptian God Kingdom system, the most important Nine Pillar Gods—should any one of them fall—it would be a major blow to the God Kingdom’s National Destiny.

And adding a God would strengthen the National Destiny.

However, things like National Destiny were usually held in the hands of the Supreme God; other Gods were not qualified to check it.

Hearing Sun God Ra’s words, the other Nine Pillar Gods, especially Aisis, the God of Life, finally relaxed.

However, a second question immediately arose in her mind: ”Great Sun God, since they are not dead, why can’t I sense their auras?”

Not just Aisis, but the other Gods also had the same question.

Sun God Ra pondered for a moment, then slowly said, ”It seems the situation with the Great Xia Gods differs somewhat from our expectations.”

Although Sun God Ra was also unsure of Osiris and Shu’s current situation, it must have been the Great Xia Gods who acted to make two Nine Pillar Gods disappear simultaneously.

A muffled voice rang out; it was the voice of Geb, the God of Earth, ”Could it be that the Heavenly Court has emerged?”

”Impossible. If the Heavenly Court emerged, that kind of pressure couldn’t be concealed; we wouldn’t have sensed nothing at all,” said Tefnut, the God of Rain.

”Is there a possibility that the number of Great Xia Gods who have recovered is far greater than we imagined, that Osiris and Shu were ambushed, and then imprisoned by them using some means?” said Nephthys, the God of Death, offering her opinion.

The Gods discussed animatedly, no one able to convince the others.

Sun God Ra’s gaze was deep and distant. He thought for a while and said, ”Perhaps we have a more direct method.”

Hearing Sun God Ra’s words, the other Gods immediately fell silent.

”Please, Sun God, guide us.”

”Go to Great Xia yourselves and see,” Sun God Ra said indifferently.

”Go to Great Xia?”

The other Gods each had their own calculations.

They had sent two Nine Pillar Gods before, and the result was their whereabouts unknown, dead or alive.

If this time was the same as last time, what should they do?

”May I ask, Great Sun God, who do you plan to send this time?” asked Aisis, the God of Life.

”This time is different,” Sun God’s voice carried supreme Divine Might, ”This time, it is a War of National Destiny!

We shall declare war on Great Xia!”

At these words, the expressions on the faces of the other Gods varied.

The God of Earth and the God of the Yellow Sand were filled with excitement; they had always been the radicals among the Nine Pillar Gods.

The God of Rain and the God of the Sky, however, showed worried expressions. With two Nine Pillar Gods already lost, doing this seemed a bit risky.

As for the God of Life and the God of Death, they showed no expression.

”Great Sun God, won’t this be a bit too risky?” asked Nut, the God of the Sky.

Sun God Ra calmly said, ”Attacking Great Xia was always part of the plan, wasn’t it?”

”But, Osiris and Shu are missing, and we still don’t know what methods Great Xia possesses...” Nut’s question was cut short by Sun God Ra.

”But the two of them are not dead. Doesn’t that explain the problem?”

Sun God Ra smiled slightly and said, ”If the Great Xia Gods had truly recovered to their Peak, do you think Osiris and Shu would still be alive?”

Nut was stunned, then said, ”Probably not.”

”The Great Xia Gods can only imprison them, not kill them. So the situation is clear: we overestimated Great Xia’s combat power,” Sun God Ra said.

Nut and Tefnut both fell silent. Sun God Ra’s analysis was not without reason.

”Moreover, for the Egyptian God Kingdom to further expand, its current scale in Human Realm is not enough to sustain it.

But if we occupy Great Xia and annex their National Destiny, the situation will be completely different.

At that time, we will become the most powerful mythological system, and the Egyptian God Kingdom will truly stand at the Peak of all Gods.

Then, not to mention Olympus and Asgard, even Yelande’s Heavenly Kingdom from back then would not be able to compare with us.”

The other Nine Pillar Gods, hearing Sun God Ra’s grand blueprint, also became excited.

How remarkable it would be if the Egyptian God Kingdom flourished in their hands.

”Great Sun God, but Great Xia is vast, and its National Destiny has long been hidden by the Great Xia Gods. If they hide, it seems we have no way,” said Nut.

”Rest assured!” Sun God Ra sneered, ”I have already prepared a fallback for them. Amun, come out!”

After He finished speaking, a God holding a black scepter walked out.

He was Amun, one of the Eight Primordial Gods of Egypt.

Cursing National Destiny was His specialty.
