Zhan Shen: It’s Just a Sacrifice, How Can I Become a Villain?

264: I hope you will be the one in charge of Heaven, forever!Bai Li Pang Pang was momentarily dazed, but immediately reined in his ethereal thoughts.

He shook his head, ”I really didn’t expect this premature recovery to destabilize my Dao Heart.

But compared to future matters, I really want to know, why did you kill Fengdu Great Emperor?”

Bai Li Pang Pang knew that Yuanshi and Daode were busy repairing the Heavenly Court.

However, Fengdu was also a part of the Heavenly Court, and now that Fengdu Great Emperor was dead, repairing the Heavenly Court had become almost a pipe dream.

With this matter, Song Zhong and the Great Xia Gods would inevitably be in an unending conflict.

He believed Song Zhong must know this.

But Song Zhong’s attitude towards him today was really strange; it didn’t seem like an enemy at all.

”Who said I killed Fengdu Great Emperor?” Song Zhong said.

”Don’t quibble, I personally saw you stab Fengdu Great Emperor in the back,” Bai Li Pang Pang said with certainty.

He wasn’t the only one who saw that scene.

”Then did you personally see Fengdu Great Emperor die?” Song Zhong asked with a smile, looking at Bai Li Pang Pang.

”This...”

Indeed, after Song Zhong stabbed the other party, he was taken away by that ’salvation banner’.

He really hadn’t seen Fengdu Great Emperor completely die.

But, after entering your so-called ’salvation banner’, could anything good come of it?

Seeing the other party’s suspicious gaze, Song Zhong said, ”Everyone has a heart that cherishes talent.

I felt an immediate affinity with Fengdu Great Emperor, and I absolutely had no intention of harming him.

I originally wanted to invite him to be my artifact spirit, but making such a request upon our first meeting seemed a bit rude.

In desperation, I could only make a fait accompli.

Fellow Daoist, rest assured, in the future, I will definitely let you see Fengdu Great Emperor reborn.”

Bai Li Pang Pang’s face turned green upon hearing this.

Was he speaking human language?

What did he mean, ’I felt an immediate affinity with you, and wanted to invite you to be my artifact spirit’?

What did he mean, ’this request seemed a bit rude, so I just made a fait accompli’?

What did he mean, ’you let Fengdu Great Emperor be reborn’?

Bai Li Pang Pang thought for a long time, and finally blurted out a sentence:

”Song Zhong, do you have any shame?”

Song Zhong gently touched his face and said, ”Fellow Daoist, you are too attached to external appearances!”

Bai Li Pang Pang sneered, ”Song Zhong, although I am not your opponent now, Fengdu Great Emperor is my good friend, and today, I will avenge him.”

With that, the Blood Ruyi in Bai Li Pang Pang’s hand flew up and down, smashing towards Song Zhong’s face.

Unexpectedly, Song Zhong was already prepared; at some unknown point, the ’Great Compassion and Great Grief Rescue Banner’ had appeared in his hand.

Song Zhong smiled calmly and gently waved the ’salvation banner’.

Suddenly, an incomparably violent Evil Qi appeared in the laboratory.

Within that Evil Qi, a blood-red figure slowly emerged.

The figure was clad in ancient battle armor, with hands clasped across his chest; although his eyes were tightly closed, the pressure, as if he had stepped over mountains of corpses and seas of blood, pressed down on Bai Li Pang Pang’s chest like a great mountain.

The Blood Ruyi immediately froze in mid-air.

Bai Li Pang Pang’s eyes were filled with shock.

Because the one clad in battle armor was none other than Fengdu Great Emperor.

”What did you do to him?” Bai Li Pang Pang roared.

”I told you, your old friend is still in the process of recovery, but you were too impatient, so I had to let you meet him prematurely.

How about it, isn’t he even more imposing than before?”

Bai Li Pang Pang’s gaze flickered, but at least one thing was certain: Fengdu Great Emperor was indeed not dead.

Bai Li Pang Pang retracted the Blood Ruyi, and Song Zhong also put away the ’salvation banner’.

”I think we can talk properly now,” Song Zhong said.

”There’s nothing to talk about between us,” Bai Li Pang Pang’s tone was cold.

”Really? Don’t forget, you made a promise back when you were in the Training Camp.”

Bai Li Pang Pang’s complexion, which had just recovered, turned green again; this damned Song Zhong always brought up sensitive topics.

Dead memories began to attack Bai Li Pang Pang again.

At that time, he was experiencing the stirrings of love and wanted to pursue Molly.

Having no formal dating experience, he desperately sought help from Song Zhong, who was disguised as an instructor.

Of course, Song Zhong didn’t help him for free.

So, Bai Li Pang Pang made a promise at that time, agreeing to help Song Zhong with one thing.

Now, it was time to fulfill that promise.

No, it should be said that the moment for the Curse to come true had arrived.

Bai Li Pang Pang was filled with regret at this moment, immense regret.

He truly must have lost his mind back then to do something so foolish.

Every action has its Karma.

As one of the Supreme Gods of the Heavenly Court, Bai Li Pang Pang naturally understood this principle.

”If you ask me to do something that goes against my true nature or violates Daode, I will absolutely not agree,” Bai Li Pang Pang said angrily.

”Don’t worry, I don’t look like an evil person, do I?”

Song Zhong walked up to Bai Li Pang Pang and tidied his clothes for him.

”I only have one request: I hope you become the spokesperson for the Heavenly Court and remain so forever.”

Bai Li Pang Pang was stunned; although he understood every word Song Zhong said, he was confused when they were put together.

”What do you mean?” Bai Li Pang Pang asked.

”Do you know why Wang Mian Transmigrated back from the future?”

Bai Li Pang Pang shook his head.

”In his timeline, the Cthulhu-like deities had completely invaded Earth, leaving only a small number of deities struggling to survive.

To change the future, he found me.

And I agreed to him.”

Bai Li Pang Pang pondered for a moment and said, ”Regardless of whether what you say is true or false, with Great Xia’s foundation, it should at least be able to maintain the Seal on the moon.”

”Heh heh,” Song Zhong laughed, ”It’s not that I don’t believe in the Heavenly Court’s foundation, but think about it, why didn’t Wang Mian look for you all, and instead came to me?”

Bai Li Pang Pang was stunned in place after hearing this.

”But, what does this have to do with me controlling the Heavenly Court?”

”It’s simple, you’re someone I trust, and if you control the Heavenly Court, you at least won’t cause me trouble. We’re friends, and friends should prioritize harmony, shouldn’t we?”

”But how can I go back like this?” Bai Li Pang Pang glanced at the blood-red Ruyi Scepter, ”Will they trust me with the Heavenly Court?”

”It’s up to people, you have no choice, because you already promised me.”

Bai Li Pang Pang’s face alternated between green and red, seemingly conflicted.

Suddenly, he slapped Song Zhong across the face, ”You bastard, you set me up!”

”The Heavenly Court will be more prosperous and stable under your management.” Song Zhong took Pang Pang’s slap but didn’t get angry at all.

Slap!

Bai Li Pang Pang slapped him again.

”You bastard.”

”Wang Mian and I need your help.”

”Help your mother!” Bai Li Pang Pang seemed to have gone mad.

Song Zhong’s face turned somewhat cold; this time he didn’t speak, just looked at Bai Li Pang Pang coldly.

Bai Li Pang Pang, for some reason, stumbled and sat in the bloodstains, staring blankly.

After a long while, Song Zhong’s expression softened, and he lightly said, ”Thank you!”
