I Just Wanted to Be a Galactic Hunter—Why Am I on the Wanted List?

After finishing the large glass of strong liquor in his hand, Loren set down the glass and turned his head to look at the two figures walking in through the tavern door, asking:

”Did you two finish fighting?”

”I thought you’d both just go your separate ways after it was over.”

Hearing Loren’s question, Jessistan, walking at the front, revealed a smile of ”vengeance finally achieved.”

”Mr. Jones received a rather special message while I was beating him up...”

”At first, I thought he was just using fake news to trick me and avoid our fight.”

”Later, I checked with my vassals, and that message turned out to be real.”

Having said this, Jessistan had already reached the bar counter. She sat down beside Loren with practiced ease and naturalness, then spoke to Brute Bloodhoof, who was staring blankly from behind the counter:

”Little one, please get me the strongest drink you have here.”

”Oh, and I want it cold. Thank you.”As a Demigod-level dragon, the dragon’s might radiating unconsciously from Jessistan made the Minotaur bartender clearly feel his breathing turn difficult. After giving her order to the Minotaur bartender, who seemed somewhat intimidated by her, Jessistan finally turned her head to look at Loren and said, word by word:

”After we confirmed that message was real, we came straight to find you.”

”The Federation just announced a ’state of war emergency’ across the entire star domain.”

Upon hearing this, Loren’s brow furrowed slightly. He looked directly at the figure beside him, who was about to sit down and was still bruised and swollen.

”Mr. Cook, that message must have been huge, right?”

The bruised and swollen Cook P. Jones pulled a portable computer from his chest. He operated it to bring up a page, then handed it to Loren, gesturing for him to look for himself...

Loren took it and lowered his head to read. It was a chat page on an encrypted website. Judging by the content of the messages between the other party and Cook P. Jones, the other party was likely one of Cook P. Jones’s men stationed within Federation territory.

”Boss, a large-scale Superhuman riot has broken out here!”

Five minutes after sending that message, the other party sent another flurry of messages.

”No! This isn’t just a simple riot!”

”Boss!! The Security Bureau just announced the Federation has entered a ’state of war emergency’ to all citizens through various online media!”

”What should I do?? Reply fast, boss!”

”That group of weirdly dressed Superhumans has already started attacking various Federation government institutions here!!”

”Oh my god! Boss!!”

”Those unknown bastards are serious!! They’ve already started surrounding the local Security Bureau branch!”

”Something’s not right, boss! I’m going to blend in first and see what these guys are up to!”

After quite a while, the other party sent another string of messages.

”Boss! They call themselves the Resistance!”

”The leading Superhuman’s slogan is: ’Establish a new order for Human Civilization’!”

”They seem serious! After quickly destroying the Security Bureau branch, they started calming the civilians down!! Trying to establish a new order!!”

”The Resistance has taken over this city!!!”

”This is huge!! Boss!!”

”I’m seeing on the news that the Resistance has appeared across the entire Federation!!”

”Something’s wrong! Very wrong!!”

”Reply already!!! Boss!!! What should I and the boys do?!”

”Stay in hiding? Or join this Resistance right now?!”

From the tone of the messages, it was clear the other party was already getting restless...

Two minutes later, Cook P. Jones, who had finally seen the messages, replied with just one very short line: ”Stay hidden. Figure out the situation first. Remember, don’t let any faction find you.”

Judging by the time Cook P. Jones sent this message, he must have been getting thoroughly pummeled by Miss Silver Dragon at that moment...

Loren frowned, set down the portable computer, and handed it back to Cook P. Jones, asking almost instinctively:

”What the hell is going on???”

There was a hint of confusion in his voice. He hadn’t even returned to the Dusk Star Domain to begin his judgment yet, had he? How had such a massive riot already broken out within the Federation?! Was the power of ”Fortune” already this ridiculous just because he was about to Advance to Legendary Rank?!

Just as Loren was starting to wonder if his luck was getting a bit too strange, Miss Silver Dragon’s pleasant voice rang out again. She explained quite thoughtfully for Loren’s sake:

”From what my vassals have just reported to me, this is a large-scale, organized, and premeditated rebellion spanning multiple star domains.”

”The person who organized this rebellion is still unknown at this point.”

”Notably, in some remote star domains, even the Security Bureau Agents stationed there have voluntarily joined the ranks of the Resistance.”

After hearing Jessistan’s explanation, Loren lowered his head and fell into deep thought. Even among the Security Bureau Agents, some had joined the Resistance? Interesting...

Just then.

From behind the counter, the Minotaur bartender, who was somewhat afraid of Miss Silver Dragon, quietly raised his large hand. With a somewhat simple and honest expression, he spoke up:

”Well... I... think I... know a little bit about this...”

Instantly.

The gazes of Loren, Cook P. Jones, and Jessistan all focused on this strong yet timid bartender. Feeling the weight of Miss Silver Dragon’s stare on him, Brute Bloodhoof was almost on the verge of tears.

This powerful Minotaur warrior took a few deep breaths before touching the emerald earring on his ear and stammering:

”Just... while you all were discussing just now... I received a message from... a tavern shareholder who also sells information...”

”The Resistance... is suspected to be... a joint coalition of many factions... dissatisfied with the Federation...”

”Right now... they’ve already begun... a large-scale occupation of... some remote star domains...”

Upon hearing this, the trio all fell into deep thought.

At that moment, a crisp notification sound came from the portable computer in Cook P. Jones’s hand. He quickly lowered his head to read something! Loren and Jessistan also turned their heads to look. At a time like this, any news was precious.

30 seconds later.

Cook P. Jones looked up, somewhat stunned. He turned the portable computer’s screen upright and showed it to everyone in the tavern.

Displayed on the screen was a report from the Stellar Daily. There were only a few brief sentences in the report.

”Breaking News!!!”

”Just moments ago, the 12 Supreme Councilors within the Federation Council simultaneously publicly announced that they had resigned from their positions as Federation Councilors and joined the Resistance.”

”At the same time!”

”The suddenly appearing Resistance has also proactively contacted the Stellar Daily and solemnly informed our on-site reporter.”

”They are not the Resistance, but the Supreme Federation!”

”They are establishing a new order for Human Civilization!”
