I Just Wanted to Be a Galactic Hunter—Why Am I on the Wanted List?

Regarding this peculiar sight of multiple races living together, among the five people standing on the mountainside of the City of Canbera, only Loren found it novel; the other four were already accustomed to such mixed living scenes.

Having lived in the Beastkin Star Domain for many years, the only thing that still astonished these four about the City of Canbera was the magnificent and unique scenery of this coastal city.

After all, these individuals had previously lived for years in inland cities of the Beastkin Star Domain; the ocean was just as novel a sight to them.

Thus, the five people located on the mountainside of the City of Canbera quietly admired this coastal city in a tacit, harmonious silence.

No one urged them on, and no one disturbed this simplest form of relaxation.

Theoretically speaking, having fled from the Jadeite Star Domain to the Beastkin Star Domain, they were already safe.

Once here, there was no longer any need to worry about pursuit from the Security Bureau.

Naturally, they could relax a bit, which was perfect for alleviating the ”dizziness” symptoms brought on by passing through the portal.

Time passed quietly in this manner...

Until the portable computer in Cook P. Jones’s pocket rang out.The abrupt ringing disturbed the several people immersed in the beautiful scenery and pulled them back to reality.

Cook P. Jones pulled out the portable computer from his pocket, saw the number on the screen, and slightly raised an eyebrow.

”Hey, I just got back to the Beastkin Star Domain and was about to come find you. Don’t rush, it’s all good stuff,” Cook P. Jones said in a light, cheerful tone.

Judging from his familiar manner with the other party, their relationship was quite good.

”Then hurry up. After finishing this job, I’m planning to run away too, go to the Central Star Domain to have a good time for a while before coming back,” a voice urging him came from the portable computer.

Hearing this, a gloating smile appeared on Cook P. Jones’s face, and he teased jokingly:

”You guy, can’t you just behave a little? Which major figure did you swindle this time?”

Upon hearing this, there was a brief silence on the other end of the portable computer.

”Not a major figure, just... sold a batch of inferior liquor to those short-tempered dwarfs next door.”

”Unless something unexpected happens, they’re probably on their way to block me right now...”

”I’m calling to let you know, don’t go looking for me at my shop. I’ll wait for you at the Bounty Hunters Guild.”

”Alright, that’s it. Gotta go now, I need to close up the shop first!”

Hearing the words coming from the portable computer, Cook P. Jones frowned.

”How much of that inferior liquor did you sell to those iron-loving dwarfs?”

”Uh, not much, just 20 tons in total. But, about 18 tons of that was cheap, shoddy goods...”

After hearing the other party’s answer, Cook P. Jones couldn’t help but hold his forehead. Recalling the reputation of those dwarves, he subconsciously shook his head.

”Friend... I’ll lay a bouquet of flowers on your tombstone for you...”

”Of course, that’s if you even get the chance to be buried...”

Amid Cook P. Jones’s mockery, the other party cursed and grumbled as they hung up the communication.

”Cook, you bastard, you’re just a heartless bitch...”

Cook P. Jones put away his portable computer with a wicked grin, then turned to look at the four people beside him who were pretending to admire the seaside scenery.

”Folks, I think we can’t afford to be this leisurely anymore. We need to start moving.”

”If we’re late, the fence I contacted in advance is going to be thrown into a forging furnace by those angry dwarves...”

Hearing Cook P. Jones’s words, Loren, who was pretending to admire the distant scenery, slightly turned his head:

”Where are we going next?”

Hearing Loren’s question, Cook P. Jones gazed into the distance and answered softly:

”City of Hekahn, the Bounty Hunters Guild.”

After telling Loren their next destination, Cook P. Jones turned to Seena and the other two and said:

”After I offload all the loot from this trip, we can set off for that ruin...”

Beside them, Loren’s eyes showed a slight change upon hearing Cook P. Jones’s words.

Just how many people has this guy told about that ruin...

----------

Federal Calendar 7708, December 4th, evening.

Beastkin Star Domain.

On a mana crystal train that had departed from the coastal City of Canbera and was heading towards the inland City of Hekahn.

Inside a luxurious carriage located in the middle section of the mana crystal train.

At this moment, Loren’s group of five were each resting within this luxurious carriage.

When boarding the mana crystal train, Cook P. Jones had grandly waved his hand and chartered an entire carriage for the group to use for sleeping and resting...

The bright, clear moonlight calmly shone upon the wilderness outside the windows of the mana crystal train.

The unique scenery of the Beastkin Star Domain was once again displayed before Loren’s eyes.

The tranquil, profound wilderness was currently covered in snow, with white stretching everywhere.

In the Beastkin Star Domain during winter, white was the dominant hue of this wilderness.

After the mana crystal train left the coastal City of Canbera and headed inland, the scenery outside the windows had imperceptibly changed from the salty, damp emerald green to the white symbolizing the cold...

At this moment.

Cook P. Jones was in his own room, sitting on a soft sofa, relaxed as he stroked Huck’s dog head.

Seena was in her own room, leaning against the headboard, reading a rather profound magic book—”The Rational Trade-off Between Spell Stability and Attack Potency.”

Hankley was in his own room, meticulously polishing the sharp short blade in his hand with cloth and sword oil, completely focused.

Tannas was in his own room, standing before the carriage window, eyes closed, hands crossed over his chest, praying devoutly towards the night sky.

And Loren was also in his own room, intently reading a thick book—”A Travel Guide to the Human Geography of the Beastkin Star Domain.”

This book was something Cook P. Jones had taken out from his spatial storage device after everyone boarded the mana crystal train, and he considerately tossed it to Loren, who was visiting the Beastkin Star Domain for the first time...

”When I first came here years ago, I also had many questions about the Beastkin Star Domain.”

”This book, I bought it later from a swindling goblin. It should be helpful to you.”

”You should be able to find some answers to the things you’re puzzled about from it...”

Loren was quite satisfied with the book Cook P. Jones gave him.

After arriving in his assigned room, he couldn’t wait to look through it together with Raven...

Although Raven had now fully mastered the Ancient Orcish Script and had begun learning the Elven language.

It still didn’t understand most of the basic common knowledge about the Beastkin Star Domain...

Therefore, this book was also something Raven needed.
