I Just Wanted to Be a Galactic Hunter—Why Am I on the Wanted List?

After educating the little one who was gradually becoming mischievous, Loren returned to his own lounge with a calm expression.

After closing the door, Loren leaned quietly against the door and closed his eyes.

A quiet atmosphere flowed through Room 105.

After a long while, Raven couldn’t hold back and broke the silence.

”What are you thinking about, Master?”

After a moment, Loren’s voice sounded in the room.

”Raven, is my relationship with the little one becoming too close...”

”Master, is it because you see certain shadows of the past in her?”

The room fell into silence once more.

Even Raven unusually remained silent and did not speak again. After another moment.

Loren finally took off his black coat and hat, hung them on the door, and walked toward the bedroom.

”Rare to have such leisurely time, might as well go look for some amusement with the Security Bureau...”

Loren found a comfortable position to lie on the large bed, took out two portable computers, tossed the bulletproof-level one to Raven, then logged into the Interstellar Hunter Forum, planning to kill time here for the day.

The atmosphere on the forum had changed again, different from last night’s anxious mood.

Most people on the forum at this moment were speculating about what measures the Federation would take to deal with the Digital Currency Bank jointly established by the devils and the Fire Thief Cult.

Interestingly, the Security Bureau’s account had been eerily silent since last night.

No matter how people on the forum provoked, the ”FederationSecurityBureauAlwaysHiring” account had not appeared again...

After browsing the Interstellar Hunter Forum for a while, Loren disappointedly closed it. With the Security Bureau people absent and no other amusement on the forum, his interest was low.

With a flick of his mental energy, Loren prepared to put the portable computer back into the ”Crimson Tear,” but when his mental energy subconsciously scanned the empty internal space, he sighed again.

”Maybe I should earn some Spirit Stones first...”

The vast internal space of the spatial necklace now only contained a few miscellaneous items, appearing incredibly empty.

Right at that moment.

The portable computer in Loren’s hand rang; someone was making a video call to him.

The note displayed on the screen was ”Agent Vic,” the person in charge of the Security Bureau in the Radiant Flow Star Domain.

”Strange, why is the head of the Security Bureau looking for me?”

Loren answered the video with confusion.

On the screen appeared a middle-aged man with blond hair and blue eyes, his face cold and stern, his gaze firm.

”Hello, Mr. Loren, I hope you don’t mind my abrupt disturbance,” the blond man spoke first after the video connected.

”Is something the matter, Agent Vic?”

Loren asked calmly, directly inquiring about the other’s purpose; he hadn’t yet developed the habit of engaging in polite hypocrisy with people.

”It’s like this, Mr. Loren. I wanted to ask if you’re interested in taking on a commission? The kind with quite a generous reward,” the blond man on the screen revealed a hint of a mysterious smile.

”I’m interested, I happen to be a bit bored too. What kind of commission?” A faint smile also appeared at the corner of Loren’s mouth.

It seems I’m about to become wealthy Loren again...

However, in response to Loren’s question, a trace of apology appeared on Vic’s face.

”Apologies, due to certain reasons, the specific details of the commission need to remain confidential for now. You know how it is, the Security Bureau often has restrictions.”

”I can only tell you the detailed commission content this evening. I’m calling now just to confirm whether you, Mr. Loren, are interested and whether you’re free tonight.”

After listening to the other’s words, Loren’s interest instantly soared, and the corners of his mouth involuntarily turned upward.

”Can I ask what type of commission it is? You know, we Interstellar Hunters also need to make some preparations for commissions.”

The blond man on the screen pondered for two seconds upon hearing this, then spoke with extreme caution:

”I can only reveal that this is the most suitable commission for you, Mr. Loren. A commission of the judgment and cleansing variety.”

The smile on Loren’s face became even more pronounced.

”Agent Vic, I’ll make some preparations in advance,” Loren nodded.

”Then, we’ll be in touch this evening. Mr. Loren, looking forward to a pleasant cooperation.”

The cold, stern face of the blond man on the screen squeezed out what he considered a friendly smile.

”Of course, my reputation is quite good,” Loren also returned an extremely gentlemanly smile.

The video call ended there.

Raven, who witnessed all this, quickly flew from the other side of the bed to land on Loren’s chest.

”Master, do you think the Security Bureau will commission you to deal with that organization tonight?”

”That organization isn’t important; the generous reward is more important,” Loren shrugged.

”Do you think it’s possible they’re asking you to deal with the Digital Currency Bank tonight?” Raven asked, tilting its head while standing on Loren’s chest.

”Perhaps,” Loren answered softly.

”Please get off my chest; I need to make some preparations in advance.”

Raven was taken aback upon hearing this. ”What preparations? I’ve never seen you do this before.”

”Tonight will most likely be another busy night; I need to get proper rest in advance.”

”So, Master, the ’preparations’ you mentioned are actually just sleeping?”

Loren picked up Raven with his hand and threw it to the other side of the bed.

”Keep it down later. Also, remember to wake me up when it’s close to dusk this afternoon.”

After giving Raven these two instructions, Loren placed the portable computer on the bedside table, yawned, closed his eyes, and fell into a deep sleep.

For Loren, whose mental energy and physical body had just undergone a dramatic surge, deep sleep was the best means of adjustment.

--------

Federal Calendar 7708, October 23rd, late afternoon approaching dusk.

Loren, who had fallen into a deep slumber, was awakened by Raven.

After getting up, Loren glanced at the dusky sky outside the lounge window and murmured softly to himself:

”The timing is about right...”

Then, he walked into the washroom to freshen up.

After leaving the washroom, Loren went directly to the back of the lounge door, meticulously put on his hat, and donned that combat-style black coat.

After dressing neatly, Loren snapped his fingers toward the bedroom.

Hearing the sound, Raven flew out carrying two portable computers and landed on Loren’s shoulder.

Taking the two portable computers handed over by Raven, Loren stored Raven’s bulletproof-level portable computer inside the ”Crimson Tear.”

The other portable computer was placed by Loren into the pocket of his coat.

In a little while, Agent Vic from the Security Bureau would still need to contact him.

After completing all of the above, the man and the raven walked out the door of Room 105.
