I Just Wanted to Be a Galactic Hunter—Why Am I on the Wanted List?

Loren lay on the sofa in the lounge, a satisfied smile on his face. The screen of the portable computer placed beside him displayed a question post from the Interstellar Hunter Forum.

”What kind of organization is ’Gray Moon’? Does joining them have a future?”

Among the numerous replies from the thrill-seekers, one highly upvoted answer stood out conspicuously.

A Cult Researcher Powered by Love: ”Congratulations to you, the future is indeed bright!!”

”After you join ’Gray Moon’, not only will you be listed as a key target by the Security Bureau, but you might also be casually killed by various powerful superhumans passing by.”

”At the same time, other cult organizations will also look down on you with disdain. You will unlock the hell mode of a cult career; apart from those demons from The Abyss, no one will be willing to ally with you.”

”Of course, allying with those chaotic-evil-aligned lunatics from The Abyss might be a novel experience. Hahahahaha......”

”Sorry, I digressed. Let’s get back to the situation of the Gray Moon organization.”

”This is a truly notorious cult organization.”

”Don’t underestimate the importance of reputation. For a cult organization, reputation among superhumans is very important.””A bad reputation means no new blood is willing to join. You know, the daily manpower loss for cult organizations is huge.”

”Unlike most other organizations defined as ’cult organizations’ by the Security Bureau within the Federation, the Gray Moon organization, from its founding to the present day, has strictly adhered to all activities and principles that are anti-human.”

”Their favorite and most frequent activity is kidnapping some ordinary people who are utterly defenseless.”

”Then they use various methods to torture the minds of these ordinary people, to drive their emotions to a certain peak, thereby feeding their organization’s artificial intelligence—’Moon’.”

”Gray Moon attempts, through this ’feeding’, to induce some kind of miraculous change in the intelligent AI ’Moon’.”

”Attempting to create a God using a technological product!! Of course, what’s mostly created by this method is the ’Evil God’ kind.”

”And it is precisely this crazy ideology that makes Gray Moon despised by everyone and everything.”

”You must understand, most superhumans willing to join those cult organizations within the Federation possess a truly fervent heart and ideals.”

”It’s only because the Federation has disappointed them that they are forced to choose to join a ’cult organization’ not recognized by the Federation.”

”These people join various illegal organizations holding the ideal of changing the corrupt Federation, creating a better nation, and along the way, getting revenge on the Federation.”

”These cult organizations are fundamentally not the same kind of people as Gray Moon.”

”If you want to join a cult organization with prospects, I recommend you join the Star Traveler Society, the Wilderness Citizens’ Association, the Harp Alliance, and the Sculptors’ Mutual Aid Association. Oh, and there’s also the Angelic Knights, which has relatively low presence.”

”These are the ’cult organizations’ with better reputations within the Federation, well-regarded by word of mouth, and they operate openly and honestly.”

”Of course, if you enjoy challenging high-difficulty cult careers, then ignore what I said......”

The answer ended there, and below it, the like button was red.

This signified that Loren had also given this hardcore answer a like.

”The people on the forum really are all talented individuals!” This phrase once again surfaced in Loren’s mind.

Lying on the sofa, Loren closed his eyes and thought for a while about how to deal with Gray Moon’s covetousness towards the little one. Then he got up and walked towards the neighboring Lounge 104.

”Mr. Marcus Rhine, the people from Gray Moon are also interested in your daughter. It seems your research field is quite broad...”

”I should have asked for more Spirit Stones from you......”

Clearly, this scientist who defected from the Federation, Marcus, had attracted the attention of the ”Gray Moon” organization, a cult obsessed with creating an evil god using an intelligent AI.

Knocking on the door of Lounge 104, the little one timidly opened it.

”Little one, look into my eyes.” Loren looked down at her.

The little one obediently looked into Loren’s eyes, her small eyes filled with big questions.

After staring for one second, Loren nodded.

”It’s nothing. Your pupils are very pretty, I just wanted to see them.” After offering this explanation, Loren turned and left.

Ayla Morningstar: ”???”

Given that Gray Moon’s reputation was indeed not great, Loren had just used his Fifth Ability to add an ”insurance policy” for the little one.

[When you encounter danger, a sufficient amount of Fortune will be triggered to help you through the crisis.]

For Loren, who pursued mission success rates, it would be best if this insurance was never used. In half a month, he would cancel the Fifth Ability attached to the little one.

If it were used, this ”insurance” could also give the little one an extra trump card.

Returning to his own lounge, Loren lay back on the sofa, closed his eyes to rest, and prepared himself at any moment for a sufficiently dangerous battle.

”Raven, stay alert.”

----------

In the Main City of the Radiant Flow Star Domain, inside a bright basement.

The walls surrounding the basement were forged from mithril capable of blocking any detection, an expensive construction.

At the center of the room, a spherical white energy orb floated, shimmering with a faint glow.

Below the white energy orb was a large mechanical computer, with dense clusters of transmission equipment linked to it.

The basement door opened, and a man with a somewhat pale complexion walked in.

The man walked to the center of the room, looked up at the white orb floating in mid-air, and a trace of yearning flashed in his eyes.

”Good afternoon, my creator.” A pleasant mechanical female voice emanated from within the white energy orb.

”Good afternoon, Moon.” The man with the pale complexion responded.

”You don’t often come to my main body. Have you encountered some difficulty?” The mechanical female voice sounded.

”Help me calculate the probability of me taking Marcus Rhine’s daughter from the Interstellar Hunter Association.”

”Through analysis, I do not recommend you do this.”

The female voice did not calculate the probability of the action’s success, but directly voiced opposition to the man’s idea.

”Why?” The man asked calmly.

”There are many reasons. The Interstellar Hunter Association is a vast organization. We are powerless against them; we still need to lie low.”

”That seemingly harmless Chief Retab Collin is also not simple. The Interstellar Hunter Association’s choice to send him to the Radiant Flow Star Domain itself signifies his value.”

”Simultaneously, that ’Night Raven’ is also quite dangerous. Based on existing intelligence analysis, he is highly likely to be a high-ranking member of the Nature Sect, and his relationship with the Security Bureau is also rather ambiguous.”

”Regardless of the outcome of your trip this time, there is a high probability you will attract the attention of three major powers simultaneously.”

”For the sake of one Marcus Rhine, it is not worth it. The risk paid does not match the potential reward.”
