Chapter 478: Chapter 336: Like Mother, Like Son

Little Meat Bun stood on someone’s shoulder, fully utilizing the sense of balance he had honed from practicing on the Plum Blossom Piles, standing as steady as could be!

The little folding fan waved gently as Little Meat Bun, Gu Ze, squinted at the crowd before him, his chubby little face extremely serious!

”What are you spacing out for! Get him down!” Housekeeper Yan was the first to come back to his senses, and he yelled at his subordinate who Little Meat Bun was standing on.

This evildoer had escaped their control in the blink of an eye, not only had he escaped, but he was also riding on top of their heads, which, for Housekeeper Yan, was undoubtedly a great humiliation!

”Hmph, hmph!” Little Meat Bun, Gu Ze, shook his delicate bathing-beauty folding fan and put on the air of a dashing Young Master, then coldly snorted twice and said, ”Stop yelling, if he could move, I wouldn’t be standing this steady, would I?”

”This is the Wooden Stake I chose! It’s quite thick and strong! I am very pleased!”

”Indeed, standing up high does give one a more commanding presence!”

Little Meat Bun sneered as he glared down at the people below, his eyes seething with anger.

The situation had turned around so quickly that the onlookers hadn’t even had a clear view before the Young Master, who had originally been held hostage, successfully turned the tables and took the initiative!

”Godfather! The Gu Residence’s Young Master, he’s just this little, yet... yet...”

”At such a young age, his kung fu is so good, given time...”

”The anxiety I was carrying has finally been put to rest!”

”I heard that Lady Changsheng even hired a famous teacher to instruct the Young Master! It seems that was true!”

”Like mother, like son! Lady Changsheng is so capable, how could her son be any different?”

”...”

The relieved whispers all around suddenly made the faces of Housekeeper Yan and his men look even more unsightly.

A little brat dared to stand up to them!

This was simply courting death!

”Evildoer! Surrender now!” Housekeeper Yan shouted angrily, momentarily at a loss for what to do with Little Meat Bun.

No matter what, he was of the Li Mansion’s bloodline, and such a small child at that, even if he deserved to be cut a thousand times, it ought not to be in front of all these people during the great celebration!

Once this evildoer fell into his hands, he would make sure the boy learned his lesson! Housekeeper Yan thought bitterly, his face involuntarily twisting into a ferocious grimace.

”Hmph! Surrendering meekly? Uncle, you’re daydreaming! My mother said, getting too caught up in unrealistic fantasies is a sickness, and it needs to be treated!” Little Meat Bun, Gu Ze, curled his lips in a mocking smile and spoke derisively as he waved his delicate bathing-beauty folding fan merrily.

”You!” Housekeeper Yan was so angered by him that his aged face’s muscles couldn’t stop twitching.

”Me! I am Gu Ze, I have only my mother, and nothing to do with the Li Mansion!” Little Meat Bun finished his sentence and, with a flick of his folding fan, pointed directly at Yan Qinrui, his voice resounding firmly, ”You! Brazenly planning to detain my mother! You must get past me first!”

”Peacock, Lion, and Tiger said I’m a little man, and protecting my mother is my mission! Stepmother, I will now let you know the consequences of making my mother angry!”

As soon as Little Meat Bun finished speaking, he lightly tapped his toes and in a flash, stepped on the ’Wooden Stake’s’ head, and declared solemnly to Housekeeper Yan and his men, ”I’m going to make my move!”

He was being quite generous!

His mother had told him that ambushing was wrong! He wouldn’t stoop to the level of these people with no decency, suddenly attacking him!

Hmph, hmph!

”What are you standing around for! Capture him alive!” Following the eye signal from Yan Qinrui, Housekeeper Yan erupted with a roar.

A lopsided fight, where many ganged up on the few, and the strong bullied the weak, was about to erupt!

In an instant, the subordinates who received his command—a dozen or twenty men—charged at Little Meat Bun swinging their longswords!

The onlookers, seeing this, immediately got anxious again!

”Madam!” Dong Lei called out anxiously.

Gu Changsheng watched the battlefield closely without blinking, and hearing the call, she sternly ordered, ”Back off!”

Her son was covered in poison, and his kung fu wasn’t yet perfected; if Dong Lei were to rush in recklessly and hurt one of their own, there would be no one to take responsibility!

In the moment of urgency, as a dozen or twenty men confidently rushed at Little Meat Bun, certain of capturing him...

As long as they had control over this evildoer, wouldn’t Gu Changsheng be at their mercy!

”Evildoer!” Housekeeper Yan roared, leading the charge in the forefront!

”Hmph! Let’s see how you deal with my Invincible Bee Needle!”

As the forces closed in, Little Meat Bun remained extraordinarily calm. Hooking his foot around the neck of the ’Wooden Stake’ he stood on, he performed a three hundred sixty-degree spin, his folding fan repeatedly swooshing.

”Pffft!”

”Pffft!”

...

Successive sounds of needles piercing flesh were heard, and those who had flown towards him suddenly paused mid-motion, their speed gradually slowing until they were moving in slow motion...

”Evildoer! Take this!” Seeing this, Housekeeper Yan’s eyes were about to burst with rage, extending his longsword without hesitation.

Little Meat Bun looked at the raging Housekeeper Yan in shock, a trace of disbelief flashing in his eyes!

”Be careful!”

”Be careful!”

Countless worried exclamations arose, even Gu Changsheng’s hand tightened into a fist, and with force in his legs, it looked as if he was about to leap to aid at any moment!

The longsword gleamed with cold light, slicing through the air with a fierce gust toward Little Meat Bun.

Just as it was about to near Little Meat Bun’s chest, Little Meat Bun suddenly snapped back to reality, stumbled, and slid off the ”Wooden Stake’s” shoulder!

”Thud!”

The sound of the longsword piercing into the shoulder, accompanied by spurting blood...

”Phew! That scared me to death! So dirty!” Little Meat Bun, who was hiding behind the Wooden Stake, jumped up in panic, quickly fleeing and flinging off the blood that had splattered on his hand with a look of disgust.

Yhan Qinrui watched the battlefield unblinkingly, her eyes widening in shock when she saw this.

Housekeeper Yan’s sword missed Little Meat Bun and instead stabbed his own man in the shoulder, his eyes bloodshot with anger. He no longer cared about capturing his quarry alive; with a roar, he lunged at Little Meat Bun again with bloodlust in his eyes.

”Eek!” Little Meat Bun nimbly dodged among the stiff crowd, waving the small folding fan in his hand once more.

But to his disappointment, this time no silver needles shot out from the small fan, and Housekeeper Yan relentlessly attacked again, unimpeded.

”Wuu wuu... No more silver needles! What to do? What to do? Ouch...” Little Meat Bun used the folding fan to block the oncoming longsword from Housekeeper Yan. He cried out and dodged to the side, all the while complaining nonstop, ”You’re too ruthless, the one that got away! You’re really playing for keeps! Ah! I’m bleeding! So dirty!”

Little Meat Bun dodged yet again, and Housekeeper Yan, unable to pull back his longsword in time, stabbed his own people once more!

”Awful! Truly awful! Absolutely inhuman! Tsk tsk...”

Moving swiftly with the Eight Trigrams Steps, Little Meat Bun zipped around, still expressing his endless pity while dodging...

A little bundle of a child darted quickly amongst a crowd of immobilized people, with a bloodthirsty pursuer hot on his heels...

His rapid movement speed left almost nothing but a blur, occasionally accompanied by the child’s mocking taunts!

”Evildoer! Prepare to die!” Frustrated by the mockery, Housekeeper Yan lost all patience, his eyes seeing nothing but red. He bellowed mindlessly, swinging his longsword with vicious moves towards Little Meat Bun!

”Hey! Don’t kill me! Don’t kill me! I’m scared!” Little Meat Bun darted behind the frozen people, dodging back and forth. Every time he just avoided being hit, the longsword swooped in, leaving a trail of red...

”Wuu wuu... Don’t kill me! Don’t kill me!” Little Meat Bun hopped around like a gleeful rabbit playing hide-and-seek, his mouth never stopping its endless chatter...

The more he did so, the more frantic Housekeeper Yan became, chasing after him in a mad frenzy...

”Hehe...” Gu Changsheng watched his son, who was playing so merrily, and shook his head with an indulgent smile.

”Madam?” Dong Lei, stunned in amazement, heard the voice and turned around woodenly.

”There’s still one silver needle left in Little Meat Bun’s folding fan!” Gu Changsheng’s phoenix eyes narrowed slightly, her lips curled up with an evil smile spreading across her face.

She clearly remembered that Little Meat Bun’s folding fan, forged by Yue Xilou, contained thirty-six silver needles – each one coated with her homemade poison.

She had watched clearly as Little Meat Bun had fired wildly like a machine gun at unaimed targets earlier!

Much of the silver needles were wasted, and all the men brought by Yhan Qinrui were struck, except for Housekeeper Yan, the one that got away!

However, she had counted clearly – there were thirty-five silver needles that were shot out from the fan! There was still one left...

”Ack! This is too bullying! I’m not playing anymore!” Little Meat Bun cried out in panic and flew towards the edge of the battlefield.

In that instant, Gu Changsheng’s eyes narrowed sharply...

Little Meat Bun’s small body in mid-air, his chubby face broke into a cunning smile as he made an almost invisible flick of the folding fan in his hand.

”Stepmother’s face! Save me!”

With a loud scream, Little Meat Bun darted towards Yhan Qinrui’s side!

”Heir’s wife, move away!” Housekeeper Yan roared, following closely behind!

”Thud!”

The unmistakeable sound of a sword piercing flesh...

Housekeeper Yan gripped the longsword, frozen in the act of stabbing, staring at the terrified, wide-eyed Yhan Qinrui before him, and became petrified as if struck by lightning!

”Haha! Er Que!” Little Meat Bun laughed coyly, leaping out from beside Yhan Qinrui, his little paw reaching out to pat Housekeeper Yan on the shoulder...

Taking him by surprise! Little Meat Bun successfully struck and immediately retreated to the side, placing his hands on his hips, and boasted with mirth, ”Madam Gu’s specially made Dissipation Powder! Let this heartless and harsh uncle taste it! See how you swing your sword to hurt others in the future! Hmph!”

The onlookers, hearing this, finally snapped out of their daze!

This was the end?

Godfather!

This had to be their hallucination!

All of them shook their heads in unison, disbelieving the scene before their eyes!

Such a strange, eerie sight!

In broad daylight, what was supposed to be a fight that bullied the weak with strength and numbers, really did end up being a one-sided bout!

It just wasn’t the outcome they had assumed, but with the situation utterly reversed!

All Housekeeper Yan felt was a pain in his shoulder, and when he tried to wield his sword and chase, he found he couldn’t muster any strength. His eyes bulged in agony, full of disbelief as he looked at Little Meat Bun standing to the side, shaking his head in panic and blurting out, ”Evildoer! Evildoer! You are an evildoer! What sorcery have you used!”
