Magus: Rise of the Darkness Empress

The item in question was a necklace with a pitch black gem in it. As a very rich person, Elise had seen a lot of gem stones in her life but a black one like this was a first for her.

And with her experienced eyes, she was able to judge that this gem was the real deal. And as the black colour was something that her mistress embodied perfectly, Elise felt that if would be the perfect gift for her.

It was not just Elise who was able to accurately judge that this item was valuable. There were a lot of other knowledgeable people present who were the same.

Even though the people of this nation were especially fond of potions, that did not mean they did not like gems. So the popularity of this item was quite high.

At the same time, the initial price of this piece was so high that some of the common people wanting to try their luck were unable to even speak. It was clear that the only people who were eligible to fight for this necklace were the super rich VIPs who were in the private rooms.

So just like that, the bidding started. Learning from what she had seen from Weiss, Elise decided to start big. Mainly in order to pressure others and also to gain control of the flow of the auction.

The starting price for this piece was 5 large gold coins, which was equivalent to 500 gold coins of the Brightshine kingdom. It was definitely super high but even this was just the beginning.

As for Elise, as she called her first bid, she immediately not just double but tripled the price. She offered 15 large gold coins for it.

At the beginning, most of the people were in the mood to add small sum in the bid and check out the competition first. This was a standard strategy which was not a bad one.

But Elise destroyed this safe play immediately which made many of the big shots to be shocked. Especially because the owner of this voice was unknown to them.

Even the person on the stage was unsure and asked the bidder to repeat the price again. Elise’s beautiful voice was heard once again and this time, it was clear that she had really said 15 large gold coins last time.

Immediately, the private rooms became silent while the general area started to cheer.

This was definitely the biggest call of the day so far. So it was inevitable that the people would get excited for it. The man in charge also finally started to count for the bid.

And just as the third calling was about to be completed, from one of the private rooms, the bid of 15 large and 3 medium gold coins was said. And from how rough the voice sounded, it was clear that the bidder was not feeling good.

But Elise did not care. She called 16 large gold coin with the same clear and beautiful tone and this time, there was no one left to challenge her. So just like that, Elise got her item.

...

As soon as the bidding war was over, all the ladies present started to celebrate. When Elise was calling out the massive numbers, even the ladies present here were feeling super excited. So with her victory, they also started to celebrate.

After her Victory, Elise was in such a good mood. That was why she ended up declaring that she was going to give all the ladies present here one small gold coin as a gift, which was actually their income of several months. So the cheering in this private room became even louder.

...

Soon, the auction was at its last stages and the atmosphere of the VIP room where Weiss and Elise were, it has turned extremely lewd.

Elise had already gotten her hand in all the things that she had wanted and with her financial power, she had missed nothing.

So, now that there was nothing that she needed to worry about, she had focused completely on enjoying herself and watching the show.

She was looking forward to seeing how much of their mind the people of this nation were going to lose after seeing the potions that her mistress was providing.

So far, a few somewhat rare potions had already came up to the stage and the reaction those things had gotten, it did the fame of the people of this nation as potion lover a justice. And these incidents had increased the hope of both Weiss and Elise by a good margin.

...

Very soon, the first of Weiss’s potions were brought onto the stage. And it was the green liquid which could temporarily boost the strength of a knight with a minor side effects of itching.

Weiss had one whole barrel of it and the auction house had divided it into five different containers.

Each of these would be auctioned separately, even though it was the least valuable among the potions, with the massive quality, it could earn a huge sum together.

And that turned out to be true. The first container was sold for 9 large gold, second and third one for 10, fourth one for 12 and the last one for 13. So in total, 54 large gold coins or 5400 Brightshine kingdom gold coins.

Seeing this result, Anna and Elise were super happy. And even though Weiss was not as happy as them because everything had happened according to her own speculations, she was still in a good mood about this.

Very soon, it was time for the next potion to come to the stage. It was way more valuable than the previous one as it directly increased the practice speed of a knight.

But as the quantity of this potion was not as high, there was very high possibility that it was not going to earn as much. Still, Weiss was looking forward to seeing the final price.

As soon as the effect of this potion was announced, everyone became super excited. This was not just a super rare potion but it was a super rare potion with extremely useful effect.

So at the end, it ended up going for 33 large gold coins. Which was quite a bit less than the combined price of the previous potion but Weiss was satisfied with it.

...

Now that two of the somewhat known potion had already been sold for a decent sum of money, now Weiss was looking forward to seeing how her never before seen potion would be evaluated by everyone present here.
