World of Superpowers: Kill monsters to explode skills

1: initialThe alarm clock ticked, the sound growing louder and louder.

Shi Yan reached out and pressed the alarm off, squinting his eyes. The warm sunlight had already shone onto his quilt through the curtains, and the faint sound of cars could be heard from outside the window.

Shi Yan sighed deeply.

He knew he couldn’t go back. He was originally just an ordinary assassin, but after waking up one day, he found himself in this world. It had been two days now.

Fortunately, he had absorbed the original body’s memories very well and still remembered most things.

The original body was named Shi Yan, just an ordinary third-year university student. His parents both worked in other cities and could only come home occasionally.

”I have to go to school today. Although it’s boring, I still have to go. After all, I can’t act too strangely.”

Shi Yan squinted and pondered for a moment, a plan forming in his mind. He immediately pushed back the covers and sat up.

He put on the blue and white school uniform hanging nearby. The words ”Chengcai Academy” were printed on the left chest.

After getting dressed, he put on his shoes, walked to the window, and pulled open the curtains. The sun was bright. He opened the window, and a gentle breeze slowly blew in. Although he was in the city, the air was still relatively fresh.

Walking into the bathroom, Shi Yan stood alone in front of the mirror, examining himself. A handsome male, approximately 175 cm tall, was reflected back.

”My appearance is the same as before I transmigrated. Even after seeing it so many times, it still feels very strange.”

He walked into the kitchen, ate something quickly, and prepared to leave the house. As he reached the door, he subconsciously felt his right pocket. When he felt it was empty, he frowned. He walked back into the kitchen, took a small knife, and put it in his pocket. Only then did his frown slowly relax.

As an assassin in his previous life, not having a weapon on him always made him feel insecure.

After going downstairs, he walked a few steps and arrived at the subway station. People were coming and going, everyone moving very quickly. Some people occasionally looked down at their watches.

He followed the crowd into the subway. There were a few other students wearing the same school uniform as Shi Yan.

Shi Yan found a random seat and sat down, beginning to ponder.

From the original body’s memories, he knew that the technology in this world was similar to his original world. Besides the entire planet being ten times larger than Earth, there wasn’t much else worth noting.

”Hello passengers, the train bound for Huanyang Street will arrive shortly...”

His thoughts were interrupted by the subway arrival announcement. He followed the crowd off the subway and walked a few steps to Chengcai Middle School.

Shi Yan looked up, examining the middle school. It was no different from an ordinary middle school.

”Hey, Shi Yan.”

A voice with obvious signs of puberty sounded from behind.

Shi Yan searched his memories and immediately knew who the voice belonged to.

Wang Shuo was the original body’s deskmate in class, and their relationship was just ordinary.

Shi Yan turned around, and a male with a buzz cut came into view.

After turning around, Shi Yan simply greeted him. Although he wasn’t the original body, he still had to spend two years with his classmates, so maintaining a good relationship was necessary.

Inside the classroom.

A middle-aged woman wearing glasses was lecturing on the podium.

Shi Yan sat by the window in the last row, resting his right hand on his face, bored as he watched her.

”How boring.”

He lowered his head and casually rummaged through his desk pocket, discovering something that seemed out of place.

A pink envelope.

”Hmm? I didn’t expect to find something like this.”

Shi Yan calmly took out the envelope.

He opened the envelope and read it. There was a delicate handwriting on the letter.

”Shi Yan, I’ve liked you for a long time. Can you come to the woods behind the teaching building after school?”

Shi Yan lowered his head and pondered. In the original body’s memories, there were no females he was particularly close to, and he had no impression of this handwriting at all.

”Anyway, everything is boring right now. Might as well go and see.”

Twilight descended, and the setting sun shone obliquely into the classroom, gleaming brightly. The scenery outside the window gradually turned a dim yellow.

”Shi Yan, want to walk home together after school?”

His deskmate, Wang Shuo, asked him after packing his things.

”No, you go ahead.”

As the crisp sound of the dismissal bell rang, Shi Yan picked up his belongings and walked towards the woods behind the teaching building.

He slowly walked along the path towards the dense woods. Both sides of the path were planted with gray jasmine, a flower that was vibrant and beautiful, with a faint fragrance.

As he walked deeper, the gray jasmine on both sides of the path was slowly replaced by tall poplars. The blood-red sunset shone on the tall, lush tree canopy, appearing extremely bizarre.

Walking about a hundred meters along the winding path, the surroundings were completely silent, and not a single person could be seen.

As he rounded a bend, he saw a Girl standing under a poplar tree ahead. She had a single ponytail of jewel-like beautiful hair, and her figure was curvaceous as she stood with her back to him.

”Who is this Girl? Why is there no memory of her in the original body’s mind? And why would she say she likes the original owner?” Shi Yan squinted, searching through the original body’s memories.

The Girl standing there seemed to know Shi Yan had arrived. She turned around, smiled at him, and then slowly walked towards Shi Yan.

The wind blew through the treetops, and the leaves rustled.

As the Girl walked closer, Shi Yan slowly made out her face.

The Girl finally stopped on the path two meters in front of him.

The Girl had a captivating face, yet her eyes were clear and bright, her skin fair and lustrous, and her pink lips were slightly upturned.

”Oh? So beautiful? I guess I’m lucky.”

Shi Yan examined her and nodded with satisfaction. He had rarely seen females with such an appearance in his previous life. Whatever her purpose, Shi Yan didn’t mind playing along with her.

”Wait, what’s that? Interesting.”

A hint of greed flashed in the Girl’s eyes. Shi Yan was certain that it was definitely not the greed of desire between a male and a female. Although the Girl hid it extremely well, it couldn’t escape the eyes of Shi Yan, who had been an assassin for many years.

”Shi Yan, I like you. Can you be with me?” The Girl stopped, her face flushed with shyness as she finished speaking, then lowered her head, her hands tightly clutching her clothes.

”Hmm, yes.”

Shi Yan looked at her with a faint smile.

”Looking closely, he’s quite handsome. It’s a shame to just...”

The Girl’s voice grew softer and softer. Because her head was bowed deeply, Shi Yan couldn’t clearly see her expression.

”What did you say? I agree to your confession.”

Shi Yan wasn’t particularly concerned about what she said and immediately expressed his agreement to her confession.

”I said, can I eat you?!”

The Girl’s head, which had been lowered, suddenly snapped up. Her previously captivating face had become extremely hideous, saliva dripping from the corners of her mouth. Her eyes, fixed on Shi Yan, were filled with greed, as if she had seen something incredibly delicious.

The Girl’s mouth suddenly opened incredibly wide, her teeth becoming incredibly sharp, like those of a carnivorous animal. She lunged extremely quickly towards Shi Yan’s head, biting down. The Girl’s expression became extremely blissful, and her mouth slowly began to chew, but it felt like there was nothing there.

”Why is there nothing?”

The blissful expression turned into confusion, and the chewing motion slowly stopped.

It turned out that Shi Yan had already dodged before the Girl’s teeth could bite down. After all, he had noticed something strange from the beginning, and with the instincts of an assassin for many years, dodging an attack that was only slightly faster than an ordinary person was not a problem.

”What are you? Don’t come any closer!”

Shi Yan looked at her with a face full of terror, his legs trembling, his mouth wide open, and his voice shaking as he spoke.

”Come into my belly, and I’ll slowly tell you.”

The Girl showed a hint of impatience. Without waiting to finish speaking, she rushed towards Shi Yan with her wide-open mouth.

As if she had already tasted Shi Yan’s head, the Girl’s expression was filled with bliss, and her eyes narrowed in pleasure.

Suddenly, a sharp small knife sliced across the Girl’s already extremely thick neck, leaving a deep gash. Blood spurted out like a fountain.

”What... happened?”

The Girl fell to the ground, her face showing a mix of confusion and unwillingness.

”I thought she was stronger? I wasted my time pretending to be weak.”

Shi Yan stared speechlessly at the fallen Girl. In fact, when he realized something was wrong with the Girl, he had already put his hand in his pocket. For him, a quick, fatal strike, taking advantage of her unpreparedness, was no problem at all.

However, Shi Yan did not immediately step forward. Instead, he retreated a few steps and stared at her. After all, he didn’t know what kind of trump cards this creature, which was clearly not human, might have, and dragging it out would be beneficial to him.

The surrounding trees were dense, and the wind had stopped at some point. The surroundings were extremely silent.

After about fifteen minutes.

”Physique increased by 16 points.”

A dark blue notification bar suddenly popped up in the upper right corner of Shi Yan’s vision.

”Hmm?”

The moment the notification bar popped up, Shi Yan could feel his body becoming much stronger. His originally somewhat weak body instantly became powerful.

At this moment, a dark blue panel suddenly flashed in the center of his vision.

”What is this?”

”Ability: None”

Shi Yan had no hobbies in his previous life, and after completing each mission, he liked to read novels. Seeing this scene, he understood that his golden finger had arrived.

The dark blue panel could be controlled by his will, appearing when he wanted it to appear and disappearing when he wanted it to disappear.

Shi Yan noticed that this notification appeared after about fifteen minutes, which meant that the monster hadn’t truly died until just now.

Shi Yan walked to the Girl’s corpse and squatted down, searching the body. Fortunately, she was wearing a school uniform, making it very easy to search.

”What’s this?” After flipping the Girl’s corpse over, he found something emitting a purple glow. It was a rhombus-shaped crystal, with a deep purple light shimmering inside.

Shi Yan reached out and lightly touched it. A warm current suddenly enveloped Shi Yan’s entire body.
