Clan Rise: Starting as a Grandfather

Chapter 1224: Chapter 807: The First Step to Emptying the Ancient

They were the first group to arrive at the Ancient Array, and their task was not mining, but removing the dangerous elements within the Ancient Array.

Five days later, after they had inspected all the mine tunnels, Yang Zhenshan gathered another thousand Innate Martial Artists to the mine tunnels.

This group of a thousand are the miners, and for the next ten years, they will be mining here.

It’s something that can’t be helped; someone has to do these hard and exhausting jobs. Of course, Yang Zhenshan is not an unscrupulous mine owner; the merit they deserve will definitely not be lacking, and their material needs will be met as much as possible.

”This place is in your hands now,” Yang Zhenshan said to Zhou Tianci and Yang Qinwu.

Yang Zhenshan could not stay here to mine, so he entrusted the matters here to Zhou Tianci and Yang Qinwu.

”No problem, rest assured!” Zhou Tianci said energetically.

Yang Zhenshan nodded slightly, then sent the soldiers of the Guardian Army back to the Spirit Source Land, after which he and Yu Qingyi left the mine and flew towards the lake to the south.

This lake is about thirty miles long from east to west and more than ten miles wide from north to south. There are many Mutant Beasts in the lake, and also many Spirit Fish, but compared to the Mutant Beasts in the mine, there are much fewer in the lake.

And in the depths of the lake, there are many Water Attribute Spiritual Objects.

Hovering above the lake, Yang Zhenshan and Yu Qingyi looked down at the entire lake, feeling the rich Spiritual Energy within, and faint smiles appeared on their faces.

To clear the Mutant Beasts from the lake is even more difficult than clearing those in the mine.

Moreover, Yang Zhenshan currently cannot use the True Sun Fire of the Golden Crow, nor can he let the Golden Feathered Fire Crow eliminate the Mutant Beasts in the lake.

Nor can the Green Wolf be used, and as for the soldiers of the Guardian Army, that is out of the question.

However, Yang Zhenshan has his own methods.

”What do you plan to do?” Yu Qingyi asked curiously.

Yang Zhenshan stroked his beard and smiled, ”I have a brilliant plan!”

”What brilliant plan? Can you stop being so mysterious!” Yu Qingyi rolled her eyes at him.

”Haha~~ darling, just watch!”

Laughing, Yang Zhenshan then plunged into the lake.

Yu Qingyi was taken aback and wanted to follow him, but after hesitating for a moment, she obediently stayed where she was, waiting for Yang Zhenshan.

Compared to Yang Zhenshan, her abilities here only allow her to barely protect herself, and acting rashly could easily land her in danger.

To avoid being a burden to Yang Zhenshan, she decided it was better to stay put.

About a quarter of an hour later, Yang Zhenshan suddenly shot up from below the water, followed by dozens of strange large fish.

These strange large fish were over ten meters long, with sharp bone spurs lined along their sides like saw blades. Their bodies were deep blue with a metallic sheen, their heads were sharp like blades, and their eyes were golden and piercing. Their fins and tails were a vivid red, giving an impression of being covered in spikes.

The large fish leapt over ten meters above the water before falling back in.

”Wow, these freakish fish are really scary. Luckily, I ran fast!” Yang Zhenshan said, shaking off the water as he looked at the freakish fish falling into the water.

”What did you do?” Yu Qingyi asked as she walked over, wiping the lake water off his face.

”You’ll know in a minute!” Yang Zhenshan remained mysterious.

But he was right; soon Yu Qingyi noticed the change.

In an instant, the lake surface, originally as smooth as a mirror, began to ripple without warning. Soon, a small whirlpool quietly formed at the center of the lake.

At first, the whirlpool was only the size of a bowl, but within a few breaths, it expanded rapidly like a greedy beast. The lake water seemed to be pulled by an invisible and majestic force, rushing toward the depths of the lake at a frightening speed, as if a bottomless chasm had opened at the lakebed, eagerly swallowing the lake water whole.

”Did you place the Pocket World Gate at the lake bottom?” Yu Qingyi immediately guessed what Yang Zhenshan had done.

”Haha, my wife is indeed smart!” Yang Zhenshan laughed.

If you ask how to clear the lake of Mutant Beasts, Yang Zhenshan has no good solution.

But if the question is how to relocate this lake, that is no problem for Yang Zhenshan.

The Mutant Beasts in the lake are also a resource, and the lake hosts many strange creatures, with countless aquatic life forms.

If Yang Zhenshan were to identify and capture each one, it could take him several years or even over a decade, not to mention the numerous dangers along the way.

So to save time, Yang Zhenshan simply moved the entire lake into the Spirit Source Land.

Everything in the lake, be it water or fish and shrimp, was moved into the Spirit Source Land.

The Spirit Source Land can’t currently process the lake’s resources, but as long as they’re in the Spirit Source Land, someday everything in the lake will become usable resources.

In the north of the Spirit Source Land, above a deep valley, a colorful portal suddenly appeared, followed by the rushing of lake water pouring out from it.

Like a celestial river descending from the sky, it cascaded into the valley below.

The lake water was mixed with various creatures; initially, it was just small fish and shrimp, but soon massive creatures appeared, bizarre fish over ten meters long, tortoises as large as carriages, gorgeously colored koi carp, and some aquatic plants, all swept into the valley by the lake water.

Over time, the deep valley slowly became submerged, spreading to the surrounding areas.

Yang Zhenshan and Yu Qingyi came to the sky above the valley, watching as it was submerged.

”Are you sure flooding this place won’t be a problem?” Yu Qingyi asked with concern.

”It won’t be!” Yang Zhenshan shook his head slightly, ”Over there is Jin Xu Lake. In the future, these two lakes will connect to form a single body of water, and the lake water will become flowing water.”

In the Spirit Source Land, there are two lakes: one is Moon Bay, and the other is Jin Xu Lake here.

Moon Bay has already been developed, with Spirit Fruit and Spiritual Medicine planted along its shores.

Jin Xu Lake, being farther away from the Spiritual Spring Mountain Plateau, has not been developed yet, and only contains some ordinary fish.

”Moreover, the downstream river is relatively shallow, making it difficult for the Mutant Beasts to swim downstream, at least in the short term, no mutant beasts will appear downstream!”

Since Yang Zhenshan had already planned to move the lake into the Spirit Source Land as a whole, he had naturally considered all aspects carefully.

The Mutant Beasts in the lake needed to be preserved, but they couldn’t be allowed to harm the people living in the Spirit Source Land, so he deliberately chose this location.

The river here originates from a Spiritual Spring in Green Wolf Mountain, with a modest flow, so the downstream water volume is also not large.

In many places, the water depth is less than a foot, making it impossible for the enormous Mutant Beasts to swim downstream.

Yu Qingyi smiled as she listened, knowing how meticulously Yang Zhenshan had planned everything.

She had been married to Yang Zhenshan for sixty years, and she naturally knew that he was someone who enjoyed strategizing, but every time she heard of his plans, she felt deeply admiring.

With Yang Zhenshan planning outside, she could rest assured and focus on her cultivation in the Spirit Source Land, without worrying about anything else.

Thinking about her current life, Yu Qingyi felt her heart brimming with happiness.

Sixty years of marriage, steadfast and enduring.

The lake in the Ancient Array was vast, but Yang Zhenshan had opened the Pocket World Gate to its maximum, reaching a width of over thirty meters, thus the water flow was substantial. In just half a day, the amount of water flowing into the Spirit Source Land decreased noticeably.

At that moment, the valleys on the northern side of the Spirit Source Land, spread over a dozen mountain tops, had all turned into water bodies, creating a magnificent scene.

When the water flow became sparse, Yang Zhenshan and Yu Qingyi returned to the Ancient Array.

The lake in the Ancient Array had now transformed into a marshland, with only a few puddles remaining aside from a stretch of silt.

However, amidst the silt was plenty of aquatic vegetation, and it concealed numerous fish, shrimp, and Mutant Beasts.

Yang Zhenshan scanned with his Spiritual Sense and found many Mutant Beasts hidden within the mud and sand.

”Be careful, there are still quite a few Mutant Beasts here!” Yang Zhenshan warned Yu Qingyi.

”Hmm, I wonder if these Mutant Beasts can survive without water!” Yu Qingyi asked.

Yang Zhenshan chuckled, ”They can survive for a while, but they’ll definitely dry up and die without water!”

Water-dwelling Mutant Beasts cannot survive without water. Given the powerful vitality of Mutant Beasts, Yang Zhenshan estimated that these aquatic Mutant Beasts could probably live for three to five months, but eventually, they would dry up and perish without water.
