Transformed Into a Little Green Tea, Ceo Sister, Don't Hit Anymore

90: Return to Ye’s homeUpon hearing this, Zhao Youdao grew even more panicked. The Ye family was truly making a move against him. He had quite a few connections, so why hadn’t he received any warning?

Of course, what he didn’t know was that the Ye family hadn’t mobilized large-scale forces to investigate him, which was why he hadn’t received any news. The only person conducting this investigation was Ye Xi.

In Ye Xi’s opinion, this company would be hers in the future, so she had to be hands-on. As long as she managed this company well, it would be like having a money tree.

”I’ll say it again, I think you’re overly confident.” A cunning smile appeared on Ye Xi’s lips. One could say that everything, from Zhao Youdao’s initial elation to his current mask of pain, was within her calculations.

Could she really have evidence? Zhao Youdao gritted his teeth inwardly.

The consequences were too great; he simply couldn’t bear them. If he fell here now, he would surely rot in prison. If he had known this, he should have run away after securing enough profit.

”You’re not bluffing, are you?” Zhao Youdao still feigned a tough stance, but a glimmer of hope remained in his heart.

”Secretary Lin, please project the video I prepared onto the big screen.” Ye Xi’s voice carried an undeniable firmness and solemnity.

The other shareholders looked at Ye Xi’s serious expression and couldn’t help but gasp. No wonder she could be parachuted into the company; she really did have some skills. The Ye family members were truly not simple.

”Yes, President Ye.”

Lin Keke looked at Ye Xi with admiration. Her current heroic demeanor made people look at her with new eyes, and the sense of security emanating from her, both internally and externally, made people trust her.

After Lin Keke finished adjusting, Ye Xi immediately started the playback function.

A narrow space appeared on the screen, and a man was staring in a certain direction with fearful eyes.

”Honestly confess all information you know about Zhao Youdao.” At this moment, a clear electronic voice sounded, and Ye Xi understood without thinking that this was the system’s disguised voice.

”I’ll tell you, I’ll tell you.” Zhao Wudao’s face was filled with terror, as if he had taken a truth serum.

Seeing his own younger brother appear on the screen, Zhao Youdao’s face turned ashen. He wanted to slap his brother a few times; this scoundrel was really going to ruin him.

”Alright, then let’s start twenty years ago. When your older brother took over Tianhui Group, what did he do? How did he operate? Tell us everything.” The system’s voice pressed on.

”About a dozen years ago, after my brother Zhao Youdao took over Tianhui Group, one day he came to me and insisted on giving me a big order, making me the company’s chairman. At that time, I was also idle and accomplished nothing...”

As the video played, the content Zhao Wudao spoke was largely consistent with what Ye Xi had described earlier.

The other shareholders all looked at Zhao Youdao, wishing they could rush up and beat him to death. After all, the small favors Zhao Youdao gave them could not compare to the huge profits brought by a tenfold increase in the company’s market value.

”Do you think this can stump me? I think you’re just extorting confessions through torture. What you’ve provided doesn’t count as evidence at all, unless you can produce evidence that convinces me.”

When the video played to this point, Zhao Youdao could no longer maintain his previous composure and almost screamed these words.

Ye Xi smiled at him and said, ”Don’t worry yet, that’s just one part of the video. There’s another part. Secretary Lin, please switch the video.”

As the video played again, everyone’s eyes followed closely.

System electronic voice: ”Are those things you said before true? I don’t need you to make any false statements.”

Zhao Wudao hesitated and said, ”Of course they’re true. My older brother earned so much money before, and I took such a big risk to help him, but he only gave me a tiny bit of money, less than a single hair. I’ve been dissatisfied with him for a long time.”

Hearing this, Zhao Youdao gritted his teeth in hatred. He had given him quite a lot at the time, but now with currency devaluation, it seemed like very little.

In other words, a good-for-nothing like his brother would squander any amount of money given to him.

The system continued to press: ”Do you have any evidence for what you’re saying?”

”Yes, yes, I do. At that time, I was afraid my brother would go back on his word, so I backed up every chat record and phone call with him. Oh, and also some fake bills he made. Almost everything I participated in, I kept a record of.”

Zhao Wudao was still full of panic. The group of bodyguards he brought were beaten half to death by these black-clad men in a few moves. What was even more shocking was that a knife plunged into its body, but this black-clad man was completely fine. He couldn’t help but wonder, could this damn thing even be human?

System electronic voice: ”So where is this evidence you speak of?”

”I have it now. I backed up a copy at the time, just in case I needed money someday in the future and could blackmail my brother.”

The video stopped abruptly here. Ye Xi took the box Lin Keke handed her, opened it, and smiled at Zhao Youdao, ”All the evidence is in my hands, and I have many backups. What else do you have to say?”

”President Ye, please spare me! I’ll hand over all my shares, I just beg you not to send me to prison.”

Zhao Youdao had long lost his former chairman’s authority. His legs gave way, and he fell heavily to his knees, his eyes filled with pleading and fear.

Ye Xi’s voice was cold. She shook her head and said, ”If you had known this day would come, why did you act that way in the first place? The group has lost so much profit over the years, and those involved with these profits will not let you go. Going to prison will be safer for you.”

Ye Xi waved her hand and said to Secretary Lin, ”Go and invite the police waiting outside, and arrange for them to take this person away.”

After Lin Keke ran off, even though Zhao Youdao continued to beg for mercy, Ye Xi’s heart was like iron, unyielding. Soon after, several police officers entered the room and swiftly put a pair of cold handcuffs on Zhao Youdao.

”Alright, his matter is resolved. It’s time to resolve yours.”

Ye Xi’s gaze swept coldly over the directors sitting around the conference table.

A chill involuntarily rose in their hearts. Zhao Youdao’s fate just now was too tragic, causing them to feel a wave of panic and unease.

”Gentlemen, do you have anything else you’d like to say to me?” Ye Xi’s voice still carried a hint of coldness.

Some shareholders stammered for a long time, not knowing what to say. In the past, the Ye family never bothered with this company, so they could do as they pleased. Now, the situation was hard to predict.

”All these illicit funds you took from the company must now be converted into shares and handed over to me. As for everything that happened before, I can choose not to pursue it. But if I truly decide to pursue accountability, your outcome will likely be no better than Zhao Youdao’s.”

After saying this, Ye Xi turned and left the conference room, leaving behind a silent and tense atmosphere.

According to preliminary estimates, after acquiring the new shares, the entire Ye family’s shareholding percentage will exceed fifty percent.

This means that in the future, Ye Xi’s voice will become even more important and influential.

...

Within a few days of Ye Xi successfully resolving the corruption issue at Tianhui Group, the matter quickly reached Grandpa Ye’s ears.

”Grandpa, let me tell you, Cousin handled this beautifully! We all feel ashamed in comparison.” On the other end of the phone, Ye Sirui and his sister were full of praise for Ye Xi, their words brimming with admiration.

”Hearing you say that, I’m truly eager to see the mother and daughter. How about this, you two help me arrange for them to return home.” Grandpa Ye, on this end of the phone, beamed with undisguised excitement upon hearing the news.

A week later, Ye Yaqin personally came to Ye Xi’s residence, preparing to take her back to the Ye family.

At their parting, Li Xuening tightly embraced Ye Xi’s face, gently kissing her cheek, her voice revealing a hint of reluctance and complaint: ”You’re leaving, and it’ll be a long time before we see each other again. It’s so annoying.”

Ye Xi gently stroked her face and comforted her, ”I’m only going home for a few days. I’ll definitely be back after a while. We can keep in touch by phone.”

After several hours of a long flight, the plane finally began to descend slowly, about to reach its destination.

Ye Xi noticed Ye Yaqin’s hand trembling slightly. She immediately reached out and tightly clasped her mother’s hand.

”It’s okay, Mom. No matter what happens, even if everyone abandons you, you still have me. In your daughter’s heart, you will always be the most important person.”

”Mm, I’m not nervous.” Ye Yaqin smiled and nodded, gently stroking Ye Xi’s head.

Although Ye Yaqin said she wasn’t nervous, Ye Xi keenly noticed that her palms were still sweating, and her eyes revealed a hint of imperceptible unease.

From Ye Yaqin’s perspective, having run away from home for so many years without returning, it was understandable for her to feel a little emotional now that she was suddenly going home.

As they walked out of the airport gate, Ye Xi held Ye Yaqin’s hand and scanned their surroundings.

Towering skyscrapers came into view. Although this city couldn’t compare to the bustling Holy City, it still showcased its unique luxury and charm.

”Mom, do you know exactly where the Ye family is? Let’s take a taxi over first.”

”Okay.”

Just as they were about to hail a taxi, a black extended Rolls-Royce quickly approached them, with several Mercedes cars leading the way.

As the Rolls-Royce slowly pulled up in front of Ye Xi and Ye Yaqin, several men in black suits with stern faces successively exited the Mercedes cars. Their appearance instantly drew the attention of everyone around them.

The crowd by the roadside began to whisper, their discussions rising and falling.

”It’s just a Rolls-Royce. In our city, such luxury cars are not uncommon,” someone said disdainfully.

”You’re so short-sighted! Look at that license plate number, five ’6’s in a row. Do you think just anyone can own such a prestigious license plate?”

”Exactly, the person in the car must be a very wealthy and influential figure.”

”Did you notice that the two beautiful women surrounded by the Rolls-Royce convoy are also quite stunning?”

Seeing a group of men in black surrounding them, Ye Xi took Ye Yaqin’s hand and whispered reassuringly, ”It’s okay.”

She keenly sensed that the people around them bore no ill will, so she didn’t feel overly wary.

It had to be admitted that the Ye family’s treatment of the two this time was indeed quite generous.

At this moment, a middle-aged man slowly emerged from the Rolls-Royce. He was Ye Yaqin’s eldest brother—Ye Chenfeng.

Seeing his long-lost sister, his eyes sparkled with irrepressible excitement, and he quickly walked forward: ”Sister! Long time no see, you’re finally back!”

”Big Brother.” Ye Yaqin’s heart warmed. She hadn’t expected her eldest brother, Ye Chenfeng, to come and greet her.

”Sister, you must have suffered a lot these years, haven’t you? Don’t worry, now that you’re back home, you’ll never be wronged again.” Ye Chenfeng’s voice was filled with sincerity and care, making one feel warm.

Ye Yaqin was about to retort that she hadn’t suffered much, but then she thought about how different her previous life was compared to the Ye family’s, and it could indeed be considered suffering. She smiled and replied, ”It’s nothing, it’s nothing.”

At this moment, Ye Chenfeng’s gaze fell on the young girl in front of him. The corners of his mouth curved slightly, and he asked with a warm smile, ”This young lady, could she be my niece?”

”That’s right, you must be my Great Uncle, right? I’ve heard my mother mention your name before.” Ye Xi’s face bloomed with a bright smile, her tone filled with warmth and respect.

”It’s our first meeting, and I haven’t prepared any gifts for you. I’m truly sorry, but don’t worry, I’ll make it up to you later.” Ye Chenfeng smiled somewhat awkwardly, a hint of apology flashing in his eyes.

”Oh, it’s alright. We did come in a bit of a hurry, so it’s understandable that Great Uncle couldn’t prepare anything in advance. Besides, I’m not a child anymore, so why would I need gifts?” Ye Xi waved her hands repeatedly, appearing very open-minded and cheerful.

”Look at this niece of yours, she’s quite good at comforting people. Come, come, let’s chat in the car. There are quite a few people watching us here.”

As soon as he finished speaking, Ye Chenfeng’s gaze returned to Ye Xi, and a familiar feeling welled up in his heart.

Her appearance seemed somewhat similar to his father’s, and at the same time, she carried a few traces of her mother.

Inside the car, Ye Yaqin and Ye Chenfeng began to chat, while Ye Xi quietly listened to their conversation from the side.

”How is everything at home?” Ye Yaqin asked with concern.

”All is well. Father’s health is still as robust as ever, and your younger brother is also doing well. Since you left home many years ago, everyone in the family has actually missed you quite a lot.” Ye Chenfeng’s words were filled with endless emotion.

Mid-sentence, Ye Chenfeng suddenly changed the topic: ”How many days will you stay at home after you arrive? As for when Father will see you? Let him consider it a bit more.”

”He’s actually very proud. He says he doesn’t care about you, but in his heart, he still cares very much.”
