BTTH: Rebirth of Liu Xi

Hun Tiandi’s expression darkened and shifted. He had never truly cared for the Void Devouring Flame, but now that his grand design was still incomplete — with no trace of the Ancient Emperor’s Cave Mansion yet found — losing the flame at this juncture was a disastrous blow.

Liu Xi’s words, though casual, struck him like thunder. The sinister and alluring aura between Liu Xi’s brows unmistakably belonged to the Void Devouring Flame. Its essence had been entirely transferred.

Hun Tiandi’s features gradually returned to calm. The truth was clear — Liu Xi was no longer a potential ally. He was now a threat. And the Hun Clan could not afford to exist without the Void Devouring Flame.

A heavy silence fell between the two. The air thickened as their auras rose in unison, pressing upon the heavens until even the clouds seemed to freeze.

Liu Xi’s faint smile never faded. In his eyes burned the spark of exhilaration — at last, he no longer needed to hide. This battle would reveal the true extent of his power.

Hun Tiandi’s eyes gleamed with cold bloodlust. The more he looked at Liu Xi, the deeper his envy became. The youth’s strength was monstrous — something achieved in mere decades. Yet he, Hun Tiandi, had clawed his way to the peak through centuries of endless effort and sacrifice.

The contrast was unbearable.

Powerful, chilling auras surged around them, distorting the surrounding space into two opposing domains. Invisible fields of might intertwined, repelling and consuming each other like two packs of ravenous beasts.

Under their clash, space itself began to collapse. Shattered fragments of reality flickered in and out of existence. The chaotic spatial storms that once raged in this region were now forced aside by the sheer dominance of their Dou Qi.

The two men stood suspended in the sky, separated by ten thousand meters — a gulf that now served as their battlefield.

Even a Late 8-Star Dou Saint like Lei Ying or Yan Jin would be torn apart if they dared to intrude within that domain.

Within the blood clouds, the gathered Hun Clan powerhouses trembled. None had expected that the man who had mocked their Clan Leader moments ago would be someone whose power rivaled him — a true apex Dou Saint.

Such a being could annihilate them all with a mere thought. Whether friend or foe, awe filled their hearts.

In the Beast Region, countless beast powerhouses roared with excitement. Strength ruled their world, and now, with this human powerhouse standing beside Zi Yan, all their previous doubts and fears were washed away.

Zi Yan’s violet-gold eyes shimmered. Her heart fluttered with pride as she gazed upward at the azure figure above the sky — her big brother, her protector... her beloved.

Liu Xi’s eyes narrowed. The aura radiating from Hun Tiandi was cold and domineering, a presence that seemed to seep into one’s very bones. Even his soul felt chilled, wrapped in a suffocating frost.

Yet a single surge of azure flame erupted from within him, and all the frost vanished in an instant. His Dou Qi blazed to life, wild and unrestrained.

He smiled faintly. ’Hun Tiandi should be feeling the same pressure right about now.’

Indeed, Hun Tiandi’s body was tense. The aura exuding from Liu Xi was erratic yet overwhelming — alternating between scorching heat and frigid cold, burning like the sun one moment, howling like the Nine Nether winds the next.

The invasive nature of the flames seeped into Hun Tiandi’s body. With a soft fwoosh, a thread of cyan fire ignited upon his chest.

Hun Tiandi’s heart lurched. Outwardly calm, he immediately circulated his Dou Qi to suppress it.

’So that’s his trick — a heart-flame fueled by emotion. The wretch has been laying this trap all along!’

”—Demon Flame Inferno!”

Liu Xi’s eyes flashed as his fingers formed a complex seal. Instantly, a torrent of azure fire erupted, engulfing the sky.

The heavens themselves turned azure. Flames howled and coalesced into colossal fire dragons that tore through space, their roars shaking the horizon as they lunged toward Hun Tiandi.

”Damn it!” Hun Tiandi cursed. He was half a breath too late — the moment that infernal heart-flame ignited, he had fallen into Liu Xi’s rhythm. Yet his experience saved him from panic.

’Before striking outward, calm the storm within!’

His sleeve swept outward. Endless blood-red Dou Qi erupted around him, forming a cocoon that sealed his body. Within, he condensed a layer of Ancient Blood Armor, its surface dripping with a baleful, iron scent.

BOOM!

The world exploded. Azure and crimson light clashed, scattering sparks that burned holes into the sky. The shockwave rippled for miles, and every trace of energy below a 7-Star Dou Saint was obliterated in an instant.

Hun Tiandi stood his ground, forcing down the raging heart-flame within even as the flaming dragons crashed into him. The inferno battered his armor until cracks webbed across it.

He clenched his jaw. ’So, the one who lured the ancient clans into the Demon Flame Realm... it wasn’t my subordinates who blundered — it was this man!’

Liu Xi’s grin widened as the barrage continued.

The Azure Flame, now infused with the Void Devouring Flame, had transcended its former limits. Each strike thundered with the power of an Emperor Flame. The destructive force was monstrous — enough to reduce mountains to ash.

When the flames finally dispersed, Hun Tiandi’s figure appeared amidst the smoldering void. His crimson armor was shattered, his robes in tatters.

His expression turned as dark as ink. That armor — crafted from the blood essence of a Dou Di — was something not even Gu Yuan had managed to destroy. Yet now, Liu Xi has shredded it.

”Fire Demon Halberd!”

Before he could recover, Liu Xi thrust his palm forward. A halberd of pure azure flame, a thousand meters long, streaked across the sky like a comet.

The halberd’s edge gleamed with killing intent. In the blink of an eye, it reached Hun Tiandi.

The Hun Clan leader hastily raised his guard. The impact resounded like thunder.

Liu Xi, without pause, stepped forward three thousand meters — only seven thousand remained between them. His voice rang out once more.

”Yellow Spring Palm!”

A gigantic crystalline handprint formed before him, blazing with azure fire, and followed the halberd’s wake toward Hun Tiandi.

The barrage was relentless. Even Hun Tiandi could only defend, his every countermeasure smothered beneath Liu Xi’s storm of high-tier Dou Techniques.

The distance shrank again — three thousand meters.

”Yellow Spring Divine Anger!”

Liu Xi’s chest expanded as he roared, releasing a resonant soundwave that shook the heavens. The air rippled like water, and the shockwave slammed into Hun Tiandi before he could react.

For a heartbeat, Hun Tiandi’s mind went blank. His soul quivered as though struck out of his body, leaving him motionless in midair.

”Demonic Flame World Destruction!”

Liu Xi’s pupils burned bright. With that final shout, the azure flame erupted once more, cascading down like a celestial volcano. It engulfed Hun Tiandi completely, bursting apart with devastating force.

The explosion devoured the sky. Within ten thousand meters, everything — space, light, and energy — was swallowed into endless void.

When the storm subsided, nothing remained.

Was Hun Tiandi dead... or had he escaped?

That was the question burning in every heart — of the Hun Clan, of the Beast Region, of all who watched.

The outcome was undeniable: Hun Tiandi had been utterly defeated. Whether he lived or not — that, no one yet knew.
