Ghost Catching System

The sky above the Western heavens.

The figure in the dark glow claimed to be the Netherworld God.

Is he really the Netherworld God?

Chu Hao expressed doubt.

”The Western God Hades has appeared, our Western world is saved, the God has not forgotten us.”

”Lord Netherworld God, please save us.”

”Lord Netherworld God, could he also be a disciple of the Divine Master of Huaxia? This... this is simply amazing.”

”Eastern Saint Heavenly Master is invincible, you are our savior.”

The Western world was in an uproar.

Netherworld God, the figure within the dark glow, he didn’t expect his appearance to be greeted with such a warm welcome.

The West also has Hell, a place known as the Netherworld.

Actually, the Netherworld is also part of the Netherworld Continent, after Westerners die, their ghosts are summoned by the Netherworld, similar to the existence of Netherworld Hell.

The Western Netherworld is also unsettled now, as Foreign Ghosts similarly attack the Western Netherworld.

Thus, both the Western Netherworld and Netherworld Hell are sealed off.

But this Netherworld God is not the legendary Netherworld God Hades.

He is an incredibly powerful Fierce Ghost in the Western world.

It’s safe to say, he is the strongest Evil Ghost in the West.

In ancient times, this ghost occasionally appeared, sometimes on ancient battlefields, also assuming the identity of the Netherworld God.

Later, people depicted him in chronicles, using the image of the Netherworld God Hades.

However, this ancient ghost possesses some skills, specifically absorbing the Western people’s faith, which kept him out of the Netherworld, and he has grown stronger, thriving in the Yang Realm.

His existence is much like the Eastern household’s worship altar.

This Western ghost has not emerged for a long time, lately, he discovered people’s faith in him has diminished.

This is quite detrimental to him; he can remain in the Yang Realm for so long because of faith and offerings. Without them, he would disappear into smoke.

Therefore, he appeared.

The Western Evil Ghost didn’t expect people to welcome him, feeling a surge of belief, very excited.

”I’ve slumbered for too long, have people in the world become fearless of Evil Ghosts?” said the Western ghost.

”Hahaha... My opportunity has arrived, if I gather enough faith, it might not be impossible to replace the true God of the Western Netherworld.”

This Western Evil Ghost thought delightfully.

As for who this Saint Heavenly Master is that people mention, the Western Evil Ghost dismissed their concerns.

He intends to seize the opportunity to gather more faith from people.

Soon, the Western Evil Ghost noticed changes in the order of the Yang Realm.

He hasn’t emerged for hundreds of years, the Yang Realm has changed significantly.

”This, is my era,” the Western Evil Ghost was excited.

Regarding the identity of the Western Evil Ghost, everyone assumed he really was the Netherworld God.

This matter was merely a side story.

Chu Hao was more concerned about the System’s upgrade.

He was anxious and exclaimed, ”It’s been an hour, hasn’t the System finished upgrading yet?”

Finally.

”Ding... Pretentious Ghost Catching System upgrade successful, unlocking new system functionalities.”

New system functionalities?

Chu Hao was looking forward to it.

”Ding... Original Pretentious Mode remains unchanged, introducing Anti-Pretentious Mode.”

”Ding... Pretentious Ghost Catching System’s Great Furnace feature activated.”

Chu Hao opened the System interface, eager to see what new functionalities had been added.

System notification: ”Anti-Pretentious Mode: If others act pretentious, the Host counters, earning double the Pretentiousness Points from the original pretentious act, and task rewards are increased.”

This Anti-Pretentious Mode encourages others to be pretentious first, then allows oneself to counter it.

Rewards are double the original.

This is quite nice.

Chu Hao continued exploring.

System’s Great Furnace feature.

System notification: ”Great Furnace feature: Gather Magic Artifacts, weaponry, Yin Yang Secret Techniques, Cursed Instruments, Curse Marks, etc., items from the Yin and Yang Realm into the System’s Great Furnace. When the energy bar is full, the Host can receive a designated item from the System.”

”With a full energy bar, the Host can designate an item for upgrade!”

Chu Hao understood.

By collecting external items into the Great Furnace system, one can be designated to obtain an item.

Alternatively, one can designate an existing item for an upgrade.

This feature is quite good.

Chu Hao inquired, ”System, can the items I previously acquired be thrown into the Great Furnace?”

System: ”Yes, for example, if the Host wishes to upgrade the Golden Bone Curse Seal into a Golden Bone Body, the Great Furnace feature can be used.”

This is quite convenient, saving a fair amount of Pretentiousness Points.

Chu Hao immediately tossed all sorts of items into the System’s Great Furnace.

Starting from the smallest items, such as a Jade Buddha for protection, and then one after another, previously used obsolete items were thrown.

Items like Soul Devouring Sword, Yin Yang Sword, Taoist robes, and many other items.

Upon checking, the energy bar increased only by ten percent.

Chu Hao muttered: ”What the heck! System come out, I guarantee I won’t beat you.”

System: ”You speak.”

Chu Hao said: ”I’ve tossed in no less than hundred items, how is it that the energy bar has increased by only ten percent.”

System: ”Garbage items remain garbage no matter how many, the Host shouldn’t expect any fluke.”

The System remains the same System as ever.

Chu Hao gritted his teeth, threw in various Curse Marks, Cursed Instruments, many items obtained from opened treasure chests that hadn’t been used.

He threw in some five-star rare items as well.

Then saw the energy bar reach fifty percent.

Indeed, the System can determine which items are worthy and which are not.

Chu Hao sighed, ”Having tossed in so much, only reaching fifty percent, who knows when the energy bar will be full.”

”But external items can also be tossed in, as long as they are from the Yin and Yang Realm, right?”

System: ”Yes.”

This is quite nice, the Yin and Yang Realm indeed has quite a lot of good items.

”Ding... System shop fully upgraded, rewarding the Host with one lottery draw.”

Chu Hao opened the System shop.

Sure enough, many new items have been added; even spending days browsing items, you won’t finish.

System notification: ”Store items have a new purchase method, valuable items over one million Pretentiousness Points can be purchased in fragments; item fragments possess a percentage of the complete item’s abilities.”

Chu Hao opened an item.

Xuan Yuan’s Divine Sword.

This sword, previously priced at ten thousand Pretentiousness Points in the System shop.

Can you purchase Xuan Yuan’s Divine Sword with ten thousand Pretentiousness Points?

Of course not.

The previous ten thousand Pretentiousness Points purchased Xuan Yuan’s Divine Sword as fragments.

The real Xuan Yuan’s Divine Sword is worth three million Pretentiousness Points.

Now, if Chu Hao buys fragments, the full form of Xuan Yuan’s Divine Sword will appear, but the power relies on fragment combinations.

Chu Hao hurriedly asked, ”System, is there a method to defeat the White Demon?”

System: ”Recommend the Host enhance the Yin Yang True Solution to reach consummate peak.”

System: ”Recommend the Host purchase the complete version of Xuan Yuan’s Divine Sword.”

System: ”Recommend the Host use the Pretentious Little King’s Support Plan.”
