Ghost Catching System

This prehistoric-like creature, even larger than a dinosaur, has a skeleton over a hundred meters long. How big must the real body be?

That Ghost Asura was equally shocked and said, ”This, this seems like an Ancient Hell Beast, which only existed in the ancient times.”

Ancient Hell Beast.

Chu Hao’s mind had the Ancient Desolate Scripture, yet it didn’t record such a creature, surprisingly exceeding the scope of the Ancient Desolate Scripture.

Chu Hao asked, ”How long ago is this ancient Hell?”

The Ghost Asura replied, ”At least hundreds of thousands of years, or perhaps millions, tens of millions, or hundreds of millions of years.”

Such ancient times indeed seem too distant, and even in today’s Hell, the existence of these Hell Beasts cannot be verified.

”So hot.”

The closer they got to the skeleton of the Hell Beast, Zhang Fei, Zhao Yun, Ghost Asura, and others felt an unbearable heat.

”So cold.”

Chu Hao felt differently, only sensing more and more icy coldness as he approached.

Sadako was the first to not bear it, feeling like she was melting, so Chu Hao returned her to the System Space.

The Ghost Asura guessed, ”The legend is true, Netherworld Water can really melt ghosts.”

At this time, still a hundred meters away from the skeleton, the heat felt so intense that getting any closer might really cause melting.

Chu Hao also suspected that the birth of the Netherworld might really have been paved by countless ghosts.

Avoiding the Hell Beast’s skeleton, they truly couldn’t get closer, and Chu Hao also felt he would be frozen solid if he got any nearer.

Chu Hao looked at the hundred-meter-long skeleton with a strange expression and said, ”Why do I feel like the Netherworld is cooking the Hell Beast’s skeleton, like making soup.”

Chu Hao’s analogy was very vivid.

The Ghost Asura suddenly said, ”There’s something ahead.”

Behind the Hell Beast, there was a piece of rock, not barren, with a temple on it.

”Netherworld Temple!” the Ghost Asura exclaimed.

Chu Hao said, ”What’s the story here?”

The Ghost Asura excitedly said, ”Legend says the Netherworld is formed by countless ghosts, among which must be powerful spirits. These ghosts didn’t want to leave nothing behind, so they left behind a legacy, built temples, and waited for the destined ones.”

”The Netherworld is so vast that the chance of encountering a Netherworld Temple is extremely small.”

Chu Hao had a strange expression. There was such a saying, he had to check it out.

Climbing onto the rock, he approached the temple on the rock.

The temple was dilapidated, with scattered bricks and tiles. Chu Hao walked up and found that the temple’s door was open, allowing him to see the mess inside.

Entering the temple, at the forefront was an altar, with ”King Li” written on it.

Who is this King Li!

Aside from the altar, there was nothing else.

However, below the altar, there was a section of blurred text. Chu Hao stepped forward, brushed away the dust, and saw the words engraved on the stone wall.

”In the Desolate Calendar year 356,820, I came to know the truth of causality—turns out, we are the dead.”

Chu Hao didn’t understand the first line. What does it mean that we are the dead, and since King Li is in the Netherworld, he must already be dead, right?

And what is the Desolate Calendar?

Chu Hao continued to read.

”There is no so-called Yang Realm and Yin Realm, no Human World and Hell, no reincarnation. We live in the same world; this is the Death Realm, and we are all dead souls.”

”The Six Reincarnation Paths are tools to deceive ourselves. The ancients did not want to accept being dead, so they created the so-called Human World.”

”Where there are dead people, there are also living ones. I met a truly living person, suppressed under the Netherworld. We call him the Evil God; in fact, he is the only living being in the Death Realm.”

At this point, Chu Hao was bewildered.

What is this King Li talking about, this Death Realm, and a truly living person?

However, the general idea seems to be that there is no so-called Yang Realm and Yin Realm; whether humans, ghosts, or other creatures, they are all dead.

And the only one alive is this Evil God, suppressed beneath the Netherworld.

”Did King Li drink too much? What is this nonsense?” Chu Hao couldn’t help but say.

The Ghost Asura next to him also looked bewildered.

”The Evil God told me he was a truly living person. Reportedly! In his world, there are not many living people left. He came to the Death Realm in search of reincarnation.”

”The Evil God was disappointed, for there is no reincarnation here, only the dead. The so-called past and present lives are but lies covering up another lie.”

After reading this paragraph, Chu Hao fell into silence.

Chu Hao said, ”What a mess.”

The Ghost Asura beside him couldn’t help but say, ”Is the Human World created by the Death Realm, all the dead deceiving themselves?”

Chu Hao kicked it and scolded, ”Get lost, what Death Realm, I am a legitimate living person.”

The Ghost Asura looked aggrieved and said, ”It’s not like I said it, why kick me.”

Chu Hao asked, ”Is an Evil God really suppressed below this Netherworld?”

The Ghost Asura nodded slightly and said, ”Legend has it that below the Netherworld Hell, an Evil God is suppressed. I once heard others say that this Evil God originated as a Foreign Ghost.”

Foreign Ghost!

The Evil God suppressed in the Netherworld is actually a Foreign Ghost.

Chu Hao sneered, ”A mere Foreign Ghost dares claim we are the dead, King Li really has his brain twisted, believing a Foreign Ghost’s words.”

Continuing to read down.

”Initially, I didn’t believe it, but later, at the end of the Netherworld, I saw the living world. No living people were there anymore; the bodies turned into yellow soil, and plants grew in patches, silent like a wilderness.”

”Seeing this message means I am dead, truly vanished, my soul scattered.”

”Now, I tell you the truth, whether you believe it or not, be careful of the rulers of the Heavenly Court and Hell.”

”The dead souls will eventually perish; ghosts who linger too long can no longer enter the Six Reincarnation Paths or be reborn.”

”Only the Netherworld Water can sustain a ghost’s life; the water is the key. If the Netherworld were gone, all dead souls in the Death Realm would gradually disappear.”

Without the continuation from the Netherworld Water, ghosts will disappear?

Chu Hao continued to read.

”The Netherworld is the energy formed by melting ghosts; the weaker ones merely serve to extend the Netherworld. Only the power of the Netherworld can keep the ruler of the Death Realm immortal, and those guiding this are the controllers of the Underworld and the Heavenly Court.”

”We will ultimately be guided by these rulers into the Netherworld, turning into the energy that sustains it.”

”The so-called Human World is actually this ugly truth, merely for us to continue surviving, providing for the Netherworld when necessary, raised by the rulers.”

”Additionally, whenever the Netherworld needs energy, these rulers disguise themselves, starting slaughter. They disguise themselves as...Foreign Ghosts.”

Seeing this, Chu Hao gasped.

The Ghost Asura also looked incredulous, as if seeing a ghost.

”Foreign Ghosts are the rulers of Hell and the Heavenly Court in disguise?” the Ghost Asura screamed.
