Ghost Catching System

Everyone from the outside world, having not been here long, was initially slow to react, but now they’re all seeking their own fortunes.

Some are leading the way, like those from the Ghost Temple, Kunlun Mountain, Mao Mountain, and other experts, but none have succeeded against the Emperor’s Gate challenge.

An expert from Kunlun Mountain said, ”This world is filled with endless opportunities. Whether you can seize them depends on you.”

Upon hearing the situation, many from the outside world set out in search of fortune.

Chu Hao was planning to conquer the next academy, but seeing the late hour and feeling hungry, he had to wait until tomorrow.

Returning to Bei Ling Academy, a group of its students greeted him, along with a few elders, who were Bei Ling Academy teachers.

Chu Hao joining Bei Ling Academy to challenge other academies had spread, causing shock and excitement among everyone.

Chu Hao was arranged a room to stay in when a student came and said, ”The Palace Master wants to see you.”

Though feeling it necessary to meet the Bei Ling Palace Master, Chu Hao knew he was on their turf after all.

In a study, Chu Hao met the Northern Spirit Palace Master, a sixty-year-old elder who greeted him warmly, ”You must be Chu Hao.”

With his Fiery Eyes and Golden Pupils, Chu Hao noticed the elder Palace Master’s immense Yang Energy, indeed fitting for a palace master of the Eight Great Academies, even if Bei Ling was last, the master wasn’t weak.

”Yes,” Chu Hao answered.

The Northern Spirit Palace Master said, ”I know about you. The Grand Scholar is your target. But! I am curious, with your strength, you could absolutely join the first academy, why come to Bei Ling?”

Chu Hao replied, ”It’s the same anywhere for me.”

The Northern Spirit Palace Master laughed, ”Ambitious young man, since you’ve chosen Bei Ling, we won’t let you suffer.”

Chu Hao was delighted, wondering if he would receive treasures.

Chu Hao immediately changed his expression and said, ”Palace Master, as soon as I stepped into Bei Ling Academy, I became a part of it. As for those treasures and Yin Yang Ultimate Studies, just a piece or two will suffice.”

The sudden change caught the Northern Spirit Palace Master off guard, puzzling him.

This kid has such a thick skin, asking for treasures and ultimate studies at the first meeting?

You think I’m a foolhardy rich person?

The Northern Spirit Palace Master coughed and said, ”In Bei Ling Academy, we value self-reliance. What you mentioned are mere aids, the mind is most important.”

Damn!

Saying that as if money is external, you really can talk.

Chu Hao’s face fell, muttering, ”No wonder Bei Ling Academy ranks last, if you guys aren’t last, who would be?”

The Northern Spirit Palace Master, with sharp old ears, blew his beard and eyes wide, ”What did you just say?”

Chu Hao laughed, ”So what did the Palace Master want to see me about?”

The Northern Spirit Palace Master said, ”Actually, nothing much. I’m planning to name you Bei Ling’s number one expert, how does that sound?”

Name me number one expert?

Chu Hao thought for a moment and said, ”It’s not impossible, but naming me number one expert, isn’t there a fee to pay?”

The Northern Spirit Palace Master paused, ”What fee?”

Ancient people truly don’t understand copyright fees, Chu Hao said, ”Palace Master, using me to boost Bei Ling Academy’s fame, right?”

The Northern Spirit Palace Master said, ”You’re smart.”

Chu Hao rubbed his hands and said, ”What I mean by fee is a publicity fee. I don’t do business for others for free; if the Palace Master wants to use me for publicity, shouldn’t there be some compensation?”

The Northern Spirit Palace Master was speechless, ”What do you want?”

Chu Hao said, ”Yin Yang Ultimate Studies or something, just bring a box, I’m not picky.”

The Northern Spirit Palace Master almost kicked him, dreaming of beautiful things.

After thinking, the Northern Spirit Palace Master said, ”If you can recruit a thousand students for the academy, I’ll give you something.”

”What’s that? I won’t take just anything.”

The Northern Spirit Palace Master gritted his teeth, how thick-skinned is this kid, ”Bei Ling’s ultimate study, the Five Elemental Spirit Controlling Technique.”

Chu Hao’s eyes lit up, quickly asked the system, how much Pretentiousness Points is the Five Elemental Spirit Controlling Technique worth.

System: ”Five Elemental Spirit Controlling Technique, worth 100,000 Pretentiousness Points.”

Chu Hao gasped.

One hundred thousand Pretentiousness Points, that’s a huge gain.

”Deal, is it really the Five Elemental Spirit Controlling Technique?” Chu Hao quickly asked.

The Northern Spirit Palace Master said, ”Of course, it’s the Five Elemental Spirit Controlling Technique, but you must first recruit a thousand students to Bei Ling.”

”Alright, no backing out.”

After Chu Hao left, the Northern Spirit Palace Master murmured, ”I hope he can recruit for Bei Ling Academy. Sigh! Ancestors above, the disciple is trying their best.”

At this time, Chu Hao suddenly returned, ”Palace Master, is it true that our academic pavilion is gone?”

The Northern Spirit Palace Master said, ”It’s been gone for ten years.”

Chu Hao puzzled, said, ”Then you plan to recruit a thousand students, with what will you teach them? I won’t partake in harmful self-profit.”

The Northern Spirit Palace Master said, ”Don’t worry, although Bei Ling Academy is not famous, we still have significant resources.”

”Then the Palace Master can rest.” Chu Hao left.

...

Chu Hao returned to his place, opened the system, and planned to recycle some unnecessary items.

On his path of upgrading and ghost hunting, he collected too many small items, counting over a thousand, of various little trinkets.

Chu Hao said, ”System, recycle these small items.”

”Ding… Host recycled 1,326 items, received a Purple Diamond Treasure Chest.”

Chu Hao was delighted, getting a Purple Diamond Treasure Chest was unexpected.

However, these items varied in size and from previously low levels, to now they were mostly unusable.

Chu Hao said, ”Open the Purple Diamond Treasure Chest.”

”Ding… Host received a Pure Yang Arrow.”

The Pure Yang Arrow, worth thirty thousand Pretentiousness Points per arrow, was his strongest ace so far, very impressive.

The next day.

Chu Hao arrived at Longmen Academy.

Being second last, Longmen Academy was readily defeated by Chu Hao, gaining acknowledgment.

Longmen Academy had no choice, Chu Hao was truly strong.

When Star Glory Academy people saw him challenge, their number one expert didn’t even fight back, surrendering outright.

The Star Glory Academy’s number one expert saw Chu Hao and was filled with despair, ”Big Brother, don’t challenge me. You’ve already challenged Great Dream Academy, ranked fourth, and now you’re after Star Glory, isn’t that too bullying?”

Chu Hao thought as well, ”Why such lack of confidence?”

The Star Glory number one expert said bitterly, ”Yu Qingqiu lost to you, and I can’t beat Yu Qingqiu, fighting you is getting beaten.”

Chu Hao patted his shoulder, ”Big Brother, you’re sensible, I decide to spare you.”
