Giant Dragon Lord: Starting from Daily Intelligence

Chapter 500: Chapter 395: New Intelligence and ”Crimson Bloodline’s” Night of Bloodbath

”Silver Moon Territory?”

Bolin was a little surprised, but he didn’t ask any questions. He just waited quietly for Raylo to continue.

”Yes.”

Raylo continued.

”I received some unconfirmed intelligence. A vampire organization called the ’Crimson Bloodline’ may be planning to move against Silver Moon Territory. Their methods have always been bloody and cruel.”

He deliberately kept the source of the intelligence vague, only calling it ”unconfirmed intelligence.”

Bolin’s expression changed instantly.

Having spent a long time in the Northern Territory, he had naturally heard of the Crimson Bloodline’s vicious reputation.

”Your mission is to take my personal letter to the Baron of Silver Moon Territory.”

Raylo said.

”As for the source of this information, find a suitable excuse...”

Bolin immediately understood Raylo’s meaning.

”For example, you can say we happened to learn this from a captive while clearing out bandits around the territory.”

”Good. That’s exactly what I mean.”

Raylo nodded.

”You need to make him believe it and take it seriously, but you can’t let him think we’re being alarmists or interfering in his territory’s internal affairs. You’ll have to find the right balance yourself.”

”I understand, my lord.”

Bolin said solemnly.

”Remember, your mission is only to deliver the warning. That’s all. As for whether Baron Silver Moon believes it or what he decides to do, that’s his business. It’s not our place to interfere too much.”

Raylo added.

”Of course, if he is willing to believe us and asks for our help, then that’s another matter entirely.”

”I understand, my lord.”

Bolin already had a complete story formulated in his mind.

”Take ten Griffin Knights and leave at once.”

Raylo stood up and patted Bolin on the shoulder.

”Be careful, Bolin. Those vampires are nothing but rats hiding in the gutter. They might already be hiding in Silver Moon Castle.”

”Don’t worry, my lord!”

Bolin puffed out his chest and answered loudly.

Bolin accepted his orders and left, and the study fell silent once more.

’This is all I can do for now.’

’I hope that Baron Silver Moon isn’t a foolish and arrogant man.’

Half an hour later, outside the window, Bolin led a team of Griffin Knights as they soared into the sky and vanished over the horizon.

The matter of Silver Moon Territory was just a minor interlude. What truly interested him were several other pieces of intelligence.

For instance, Earth Dragons!

Raylo’s eyes lit up.

Earth Dragons had thick hides and immense strength. The momentum of their charge was in no way inferior to heavy cavalry. Moreover, they had great stamina, weren’t picky eaters, and were much easier to raise than delicate warhorses.

In battle, Earth Dragons were heavy shock cavalry; out of battle, they were excellent transport beasts.

Furthermore, with Black Stone Territory’s unique Earth Dragon Bloodline Potion, successfully capturing these two hundred-plus Earth Dragons would lead to an explosive leap in the number of Earth Dragon Bloodline Knights.

In Raylo’s view, Tier Two Earth Dragons were more valuable to Black Stone Territory than Tier Three Mammoths.

As for the ”Black King”...

That guy had his eyes on this herd of Earth Dragons too.

’Trying to steal from me? We’ll see if you have what it takes.’

A smile tugged at the corner of Raylo’s lips.

With Black Stone Territory’s current strength, the ”Black King” was no longer a major threat.

Soon, Raylo made a list and had his Personal Guard summon them for a council.

Before long, Ed, Kado, and the others had all rushed to the square of Black Stone Castle.

Because Kado and the other Giants were attending, the meeting was held in the square of Black Stone Castle.

Everyone was thrilled to learn they were going to capture Earth Dragons.

”Earth Dragons? My lord, how many are there?”

Alex asked excitedly.

”Over two hundred.”

Raylo gave a number that made everyone gasp.

”Over two hundred!”

Ed was shocked as well.

”My lord, if we can capture all of them, we can form another two—no, two and a half squadrons of Earth Dragon Knights! Our Moonlight Knight Order will become the most powerful heavy cavalry in the entire Duchy!”

”Exactly. We must get our hands on this herd of Earth Dragons.”

Raylo nodded.

”My lord, just leave this to us Giants!”

Gordo said, slapping his chest, his voice booming.

”We’ll go and capture all those big guys for you!”

”That’s right! Capturing Magical Beasts is what we do best!”

Ug chimed in from the side.

For these immensely strong Giants, capturing Tier Two Magical Beasts like Earth Dragons was indeed not a difficult task.

Raylo smiled and said.

”The Giant Legion will be the main force for this operation. Kado, Ug, Gordo, the three of you will take all the Giants and come with me.”

”Alright!”

The three Giants roared in excitement.

”Master Marlin.”

Raylo looked at Marlin.

”You will lead the Mage squad and participate in this operation. Magic like Magic Traps and Slow Techniques might be needed.”

”Rest assured, my lord. We will be well-prepared.”

Marlin accepted the order.

”Good.”

Raylo stood up and said.

”I will lead the party myself. Everyone, go and prepare! We leave in half an hour.”

「Soon, in the square of Black Stone Territory.」

The vast aerial unit took to the sky first, the wings of Griffins and Pegasi obscuring the heavens.

On the ground, the Giant Legion began its heavy march, the earth trembling rhythmically beneath their feet.

The grand army marched forth, vast and mighty, toward the Black Stone Mountain Range in the north.

The Black Stone Mountain Range was a land of overlapping peaks and ancient trees that towered toward the sky.

Raylo’s army journeyed through the mountain range. Griffin Knights scouted ahead, while Pegasus Knights circled watchfully above the main column.

The Giant Legion walked along the rugged mountain paths as if they were level ground.

Their enormous bodies allowed them to ignore most of the complex terrain.

Along the way, they encountered a few witless Magical Beasts.

But upon seeing the Giant Legion’s massive formation and the Giant Dragon circling in the sky, these beasts were all scared witless, scattering in every direction.

After marching for half a day, they finally reached their destination.

Before them was an enormous mountain peak. Below it lay a valley dotted with a cluster of massive caves dug out by Earth Dragons.

The entrances to the caves were littered with a large amount of animal bones and gnawed plant roots.

”It looks like this is the place.”

Raylo leaped down from Baofeng’s back.

He had the Pegasus Knights maintain watch in the air, while the Griffin Knights landed on the surrounding peaks to secure the high ground.

”Kado, have the Giants spread out and surround this valley! Don’t leave a single exit open!”

Raylo commanded.

”Yes, my lord!”

Over a hundred Hill Giants immediately moved out. They split into several squads and quickly seized all the strategic points around the valley, forming a massive encirclement.

After all this was done, Raylo didn’t rush to act.

He had everyone remain on standby while he walked to the mouth of one of the caves to observe it carefully.

He could feel heavy breaths coming from the depths of the cave, along with a thick, earthy smell.

’There really are a lot of them.’

”Sun.”

Raylo turned and spoke to the Golden Dragon not far away.

”Here, my lord.”

”In a moment, I’ll have the Giants drive them out. You’ll be responsible for suppressing them with your Dragon Might. Try not to injure them.”

”No problem, my lord. Leave it to me.”

Sun said confidently.

Just as Raylo was about to give the order to move, the Pegasus Knight on watch in the sky suddenly sounded a sharp alarm.

”My lord! The east! A large, unidentified force is approaching from the east!”

Raylo’s heart stirred. ’So, they’ve finally arrived.’

He looked up toward the east and saw a vast, dark mass of shadows emerging from between the trees.

”All units, on alert!”

Raylo’s voice instantly echoed throughout the valley.

The Giants immediately tightened their grip on their maces, and the knights of the Moonlight Knight Order also prepared for battle.

Soon, the dark mass emerged from behind the woods.

Raylo got a clear look at the newcomers.

It was an army composed of several thousand Kobolds.

These Kobolds were short, with canine-like heads. They wore simple Leather Armor and carried rusted weapons, looking like nothing more than a disorderly mob.

But at the very front of the Dogman Legion was a unique existence.

It was a Dogman Wizard, much taller than an ordinary Kobold.

He wore a filthy Mage Robe and held a Magic Staff made of bone and Gemstones. At its tip, a flickering Flame burned.

His mount was a Tier Four Bat Dragon with a wingspan of over twenty meters.

The aura of a Domain Level Powerhouse radiated from the Dogman Wizard, completely undisguised.
