Giant Dragon Lord: Starting from Daily Intelligence

Chapter 395: Chapter 349: Raylo? No, I am Giant Carlo

It was a Demon that resembled a Winged Dragon but had four wings.

Its scales were a sickly gray-green, and its beak, sharp as a spear, was lined with serrations.

The most terrifying thing was its cry. Every shriek formed a sound wave, visible to the naked eye, that battered the Knight ahead of it.

The Howling Wind Winged Dragon, a Tier Four Flying Magical Beast skilled in speed and Wind Magic.

Just as the Griffin Knight was about to be caught, the Howling Wind Winged Dragon lunged, opening its massive maw and firing a gray Wind Blade.

In the nick of time, Baofeng descended from the heavens, positioning himself precisely in front of the Knight.

VWOOM!

Baofeng unleashed a gale, dispersing the incoming Wind Blade.

BOOM!

A violent explosion echoed through the air. The Wind Blade was swept away by the gale, and the resulting blast of violent energy caused the forest below to ripple in green waves.

The Howling Wind Winged Dragon clearly hadn’t expected an interloper. It let out an enraged shriek and turned its attention to the more powerful enemy: Baofeng.

”You beast. You’re asking to die.”

Raylo’s gaze was icy, and he wasted no words.

He squeezed his legs, and Baofeng, understanding instantly, let out a piercing battle cry. Instead of retreating, he advanced, charging straight at the Howling Wind Winged Dragon.

The man and the Griffin clashed with the gray-green monster in an instant.

Raylo didn’t use his Divine Weapon Broken Flow. Instead, he channeled his Magic Power, launching Lightning Strikes from his palm to attack the Howling Wind Winged Dragon.

As a Lord, Raylo didn’t get many chances to fight himself. This Tier Four Howling Wind Winged Dragon was the perfect sparring partner.

Sharp beaks and claws clashed while Thunderbolts and Wind Blades danced in the air. Every collision produced a deafening roar.

Although the Howling Wind Winged Dragon was a Tier Four Magical Beast, its advantage in speed was nonexistent before Baofeng, the Storm Griffin King.

Meanwhile, Raylo relentlessly attacked its weak spots with Lightning, forcing the Howling Wind Winged Dragon into a steady retreat.

ROAR!

After another violent collision, the Howling Wind Winged Dragon let out a painful Wailing. One of its wings had been pierced by Raylo’s Thunderbolt and was charred black.

The intense pain drove it berserk. It abandoned all technique, opened its gaping maw, and fired a gray Wind Blade several times thicker than before, hurtling it toward Raylo.

”It’s over.”

A glint of severity flashed in Raylo’s eyes. He didn’t choose to face it head-on. Instead, he had Baofeng deftly bank to the side, perfectly avoiding the direct impact of the massive Wind Blade.

At the same time, his left hand came to rest on the hilt of the sword at his waist.

’Practice is over. Time for the killing blow.’

The next moment, a translucent gleam of sword light suddenly flared in the dim twilight, like a crescent moon appearing from thin air—cold and deadly.

The gleam of the sword vanished as quickly as it appeared.

The Howling Wind Winged Dragon’s massive body suddenly stiffened, its frenzied momentum coming to an abrupt halt.

A fine line of blood appeared on its enormous head, running from its left eye to its right jaw.

The line of blood rapidly widened. Then, as it watched in disbelief, half of its head, along with the corresponding section of its neck, slid cleanly off.

The corpse of the Howling Wind Winged Dragon tumbled a few times in the air before plummeting powerlessly into the forest below, creating an earth-shattering crash.

Raylo slowly sheathed his sword and flew over to the still-shaken Knight.

”Can you still fly?”

”My Lord... I can!”

The Knight looked at Raylo, his eyes filled with fervent adoration and the profound relief of a survivor.

”Keep up.”

Raylo changed course, leading the Knight back to camp.

When they landed, everyone breathed a sigh of relief.

Ed took a few Griffin Knights to the site of the battle and brought back the corpse of the Howling Wind Winged Dragon, which would serve as their dinner for the evening.

That night, Raylo strengthened the camp’s security.

The Knights and Hill Giants took turns on watch, and the bonfires were built higher to drive away the dangers lurking in the darkness.

「The next day, the search continued.」

Having learned their lesson from the previous day, the Griffin Knights were more cautious, moving in three-man teams and not daring to venture too far in.

Time trickled by, and just as Raylo was steeling himself for a prolonged search, a scout team returned around noon with exhilarating news.

A Knight leaped from his Griffin’s back and hurried over to Raylo.

”My Lord! We’ve found a massive valley one hundred twenty kilometers to the east! There are clear tracks at the valley mouth, as if trampled by Giants, and from high in the air, we saw... we saw the figures of several Hill Giants!”

Once all the scouting Griffin Knights had returned, Raylo immediately ordered the army to advance eastward.

The Hill Giants cleared the path ahead.

The army marched for several hours.

When the column crested a mountain ridge, a magnificent vista unfolded before them.

It was a vast, unbroken mountain range, lying across the land like the spine of a Giant Dragon.

Nestled in the embrace of the mountains, an immense valley opened up before them. Its mouth was several hundred meters wide, like a gaping maw in the earth itself—deep and mysterious.

”All troops, halt and make a temporary camp!”

Raylo commanded.

”Ed, you’re in command. Baofeng is fast, so I’ll go scout ahead myself.”

Baofeng let out a clear cry, beat his wings, and soared high into the clouds.

The Hill Giant, Kado, remained on the ground, his head tilted back and a complex expression on his large face.

’This place doesn’t look familiar at all.’

Raylo rode Baofeng, circling high in the sky.

He didn’t rush to approach the valley, instead conducting a thorough survey of the entire area.

Soon, his brow furrowed tightly.

The scouting Griffin Knights hadn’t been wrong, but what they had seen was merely the tip of the iceberg.
