Giant Dragon Lord: Starting from Daily Intelligence

Chapter 364: Chapter 334: Moonlight’s Plight and the Giant Dragon Realm Hunting Plan

The aftermath of the war was the din of the victors.

The soldiers of the Black Stone Territory, having calmed from their initial euphoria, began to clean up the ravaged battlefield.

The pungent stench of blood and scorched flesh still hung in the air, but to these battle-hardened veterans, it smelled more of victory and spoils.

The soldiers collected a large amount of weapons and armor from the Jackal-Wolf Folk and Kobolds.

This shoddy equipment was unsuitable for the Human Knights of the Black Stone Territory, but when melted down into iron ingots, it became a tangible resource.

Coal Ball was the busiest figure on the scene.

This blackish Space Young Dragon flew about excitedly above the battlefield. From time to time, it would open its mouth, and a miniature spatial vortex would appear out of thin air, swallowing a small mountain of Magical Beast corpses or a pile of spoils before letting out a satisfied burp.

As the Minister of Logistics, it was having the time of its life.

Ed directed the soldiers to bind the captured Jackal-Wolf Folk and Kobolds, who knelt in a vast, dark mass.

These Demons, having lost the suppression of the Black King’s will and with their escape route cut off, were now as docile as a pack of defanged wild dogs, with only fear left in their eyes.

A rough count revealed there were over a thousand of them.

”My Lord, how should we handle these prisoners?”

Ed came forward to ask for instructions.

”Send them all to the mines in the Ironthorn Territory.”

Raylo’s tone was flat.

Ed understood immediately and left at once to make the arrangements.

This cheap labor would provide a steady stream of fuel for the Black Stone Territory’s war machine until they sweated their very last drop.

In the sky, the Golden Dragon Sun let out a deafening roar.

This roar was completely different from its previous battle cries, filled with the cathartic joy of vindication.

Its massive body tumbled through the clouds, its golden scales glittering brilliantly in the sunlight, as if to sweep away all its pent-up frustration.

When it had fought for the Dragon Blood Ancient Tree, it had suffered a great loss at the Black King’s hands.

Now, it had personally watched that once-unbeatable Black King flee in a pathetic state, grievously wounded. This satisfaction was the most bountiful spoil of war it had gained in this battle.

”Raylo!”

Sun descended, bringing its enormous head close to Raylo, its golden draconic eyes filled with excitement.

”Did you see that black mud-loach tuck its tail and run? That was even more satisfying than killing him outright!”

”It is the victory you deserve, Sun.”

Raylo patted Baofeng’s neck, urging it to fly closer.

”Your glory is the glory of the Black Stone Territory as well.”

Sun was clearly susceptible to such praise. It raised its neck proudly and let out a low, pleased rumble.

”Next time! Next time, I’ll rip his wings off with my own claws!”

As the sun set, the victorious army returned to Black Stone Castle in a grand procession, laden with immense spoils and captives.

When the column appeared on the horizon, the subjects who had long been waiting outside the castle erupted in cheers like a tidal wave.

They waved their arms, tossing flower petals and colorful ribbons at the returning heroes.

Children perched on their fathers’ shoulders, shouting Raylo’s name in their clear, high voices.

Farmers, merchants, blacksmiths...

Every face overflowed with sincere joy and pride.

Riding on Baofeng’s back, Raylo passed through the cheering crowd.

The joy of victory washed away the fatigue of war.

The Black Stone Territory soon returned to its usual peace. In fact, thanks to the vast amount of captured supplies and labor, all construction projects proceeded with fiery enthusiasm, painting a scene of thriving prosperity.

A week later, this tranquility was shattered by news from the border.

Inside the council hall, Raylo was listening to an urgent report from a Pegasus Knight.

”My Lord, word has come from several villages on the Western Border.”

A trace of unease was on the Knight’s face.

”Villagers are reporting that... that their relatives, buried for years, have climbed out of their graves.”

Raylo frowned.

”Climbed out?”

”Yes, My Lord. They’ve turned into... Undead.”

The Knight swallowed hard.

”They’re attacking the living and have already caused several casualties. There aren’t many of them—just a few scattered skeletons and zombies that the village patrols dealt with. But... this has never happened before.”

Ed stood to the side, his brow furrowed.

”Undead? We have no records of Undead activity within the Black Stone Territory.”

Raylo’s gaze shifted to the huge map hanging on the wall, his eyes falling upon a vast and dangerous land thousands of kilometers to the west of the Black Stone Territory.

The Skeleton Plain.

The ruler of the Skeleton Plain, the Witch Demon King—a genuine Catastrophe Level Monarch—seemed to be locked in a fierce, unending battle with another powerhouse of the same level: the Vampire Prince of the Crimson Bloodline.

”It’s the Witch Demon King’s Power... seeping over,” Raylo muttered to himself.

A Catastrophe Level existence is, in itself, an extension of Rule Power.

When a powerful Witch Demon Monarch fully unleashes his Catastrophe Level might, the Law of Death becomes unusually active within the vast area his Power radiates across. It’s no surprise, then, that the dead would rise again.

”My Lord, you mean to say...?”

Ed asked.

”The war between those two big shots in the west has intensified.”

Raylo withdrew his gaze, his expression calm.

”Let them fight their own battles. We just need to manage things on our own doorstep.”

Ed hesitated.

”Shouldn’t we send the main force to do a thorough sweep? Just in case.”

Raylo shook his head.

He knew what those two Catastrophe Level experts were fighting over.

’The Tomb of the Traitor.’

It was a truly tempting prize, and Raylo was no exception.
