Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse

Chapter 4089: Resistance! III

The waters around Noah had turned golden-green from proximity to his transformation, and as he stood, they retained that color...marked by contact with something that had transcended normal limitations!

He had forged a resistance that said...attacking him was no longer casual action but investment, and investments required considerable effort!

After successfully forging the Resistance of Perpetual Harvest, Noah felt his entire existence enriched with life force that transcended simple vitality.

The connection to the Principle had deepened beyond what he had deepened, becoming increasingly integrated with its fundamental nature. Every aspect of his being amplified, his complexity and purity rising with a steady certainty.

Then, deep within his existence, something else stirred. A core part of his being that had remained mostly dormant buzzed with sudden activity, and a prompt materialized before him.

Absolute Fictional Transcendence resonates with your ascension

Threads of existence-spanning fables entangle with your being due to their importance and gravity

Most connections remain obscured due to overwhelming complexity

Limited observation currently possible

Proceed with partial revelation of a heavily entangled?

...!

Noah gazed at the prompt with eyes that had grown accustomed to impossibility.

A fable entangled with him was occurring out there as even in a limited fashion, part of him in his elevated state thought he should see it!

The tyrannical certainty in his voice carried across the Shore as he commanded.

”Proceed.”

---

In the Transcendent Paradoxical Folds, at the center of an unknowable number of paradoxical rivers that flowed in directions that didn’t exist, Schrodinger floated above the corpses of Inevitabilities with the particular grace of someone who had just accomplished something that shouldn’t have been possible.

Obsidian light surrounded his figure... the absence of light given its own luminosity.

The complexity radiating from him had become so profound, so deafeningly present, that Diviticus scrambled backward with a mixture of awe and primal fear.

Even as a Duke, she could feel her existence questioning whether it should continue existing so close to whatever Schrodinger was becoming.

As the obsidian light intensified, wrapping around him like a cocoon of dark possibility, Schrodinger began to speak.

His voice carried the weight of someone who had seen the patterns behind patterns, the rules behind rules.

”Chaos and disorder,” he began, his tone philosophical yet carrying undertones that made reality lean in to listen. ”Most beings fear them, flee from them, build entire civilizations as bulwarks against their encroachment. But they misunderstand something fundamental...”

The obsidian light pulsed with each word, as if his speech was conducting some terrible orchestra.

”Chaos isn’t the enemy of existence...it’s existence’s natural state. From the moment THE Creature first distinguished between ’is’ and ’isn’t,’ entropy began its work. Every action increases disorder. Every thought fragments unity into multiplicity. Every choice splits one path into many.”

He raised his hand, and the dead Inevitabilities below seemed to resonate with his words, their corpses reminders of hunger that could never be satisfied.

”Consider this truth...it takes constant effort to maintain order. A cleaned room naturally becomes messy. A structured society naturally develops complications. Even THE Living Existences, with all their power, must constantly work to maintain their hierarchies, their Folds, their very identities against the tide of dissolution.”

His smile contained layers of meaning that contradicted each other.

”But chaos? Chaos requires no effort. It simply is. It’s the default state toward which everything tends. Existence doesn’t need to work to become more chaotic...that happens automatically. It’s order that’s unnatural, temporary, fragile, and takes a great deal of effort.”

...!

The obsidian light around him grew denser, more real than the reality it displaced.

”Yet the profound paradox that most never grasp is that chaos, properly understood and properly wielded, is actually the most efficient tool for creating true order. Not the false order of rigid structure that must be constantly maintained, but the deep order that emerges from chaos itself...patterns that arise not despite disorder but because of it.”

He gestured at the swirling rivers around them, each one a paradox made liquid.

”Look at these rivers. They flow in impossible directions, follow no laws, acknowledge no boundaries. Pure chaos. Yet they’ve been flowing in these same chaotic patterns for eons. The chaos has become its own form of reliability. The disorder has organized itself into something dependable.”

His voice grew more intense, more certain.

”This is what others fail to understand. You don’t fight chaos...you surf it. You don’t resist entropy, you accelerate it toward your desired outcome. You don’t build walls against disorder...you become disorder’s favorite expression.”

The obsidian light suddenly erupted upward in a beam that pierced through dimensional boundaries. Then, like a flower blooming in reverse and forward simultaneously, countless beams of obsidian light cascaded outward from his form.

They bypassed the paradoxical rivers as if they were merely suggestions, spreading across the Transcendent Paradoxical Folds with the inexorable advance of night.

Just like when THE Living Order had begun awakening, but inverse...where she had spread white light of structure, he spread obsidian acknowledgment of chaos.

Schrodinger smiled calmly, though the expression contained exhaustion. He sighed, and when he spoke again, his words carried the weight of destiny recognized!

”It seems I have begun walking the path to potentially become... THE Living Chaos.”

BOOM!

”Potentially...everything is still but a possibility. But this...is something!”

The admission hung in the air.

”I did not expect events to play out like this,” he continued, his tone mixing wonder with irony. ”I have THE Living Order to thank for this opportunity. Thank her even more for leaving behind and discarding part of her Everything that allowed her to awaken...tossing it into an Inevitability as if it were garbage.”

He chuckled, the sound containing genuine amusement.

”Before that part of her could be fully digested by the Inevitability, it became mine. What The Order discarded to become more ordered...I’ve claimed it, inverted it, made it the seed of its opposite. Now this is the path I walk... what a wonder. What a glory of how things can turn out. Hmm...”

The aura leaking from Schrodinger intensified, becoming not just grander but more fundamentally wrong. Not evil, but wrong in the way that suggested right and wrong were about to become obsolete categories.

Diviticus scrambled back even further, her Duke-level existence actually whimpering at proximity to transformation this profound.

”THE Living Order rises again,” Schrodinger mused, his beggar’s appearance now the ultimate paradox-infinite power in humble form.

”And in response, perhaps THE Living Chaos will emerge. Not to oppose her, but to complete the equation. Order and Chaos, not as enemies but as dance partners in existence’s oldest waltz...”

The obsidian light continued spreading, touching everything in the Transcendent Paradoxical Folds with the gentle insistence of entropy itself. Where it passed, rigid structures became slightly more fluid.

Fixed laws developed slight variations.

Certainty admitted, if only to itself, that maybe it wasn’t so certain after all.

”Chaos,” Schrodinger said with finality, ”isn’t the absence of order. It’s the presence of all possible orders, happening simultaneously, waiting for observation to collapse them into pattern. Oh, what a wonder existence is!”

BOOM!
