Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse

Chapter 4088: Resistance! II

The golden sands beneath his feet hummed with accumulated power.

The Sacred Totems stood at their posts, their storage spaces now rich with materials from the plots and the Depths. The trees bore fruits that pulsed with readiness for harvest, with the Tenders already harvesting!

Everything was acceleration, everything was growth, everything was potential becoming actual.

Yet even surrounded by this prosperity, Noah knew that time was narrowing toward a point of convergence. The Kleos Concordat loomed, and with it, whatever the Living Paradoxes had planned.

He breathed out, the exhalation carrying decision. With a wave of his hand, thirteen Essence Gems materialized from his storage, their crystallized complexity catching light that existed in spectrums beyond normal perception.

”Moiraine,” he said, the gems floating toward her with purpose. ”Use these. 130 Essence Gems will grant you more than 130 billion in Complexity and Purity. Use that advancement to forge the Kleos Glyphs of Paradoxical Genesis, then sacrifice them for the Shards...”

...!

The weight of the instruction settled on her with understanding.

More Principles meant more options, more understanding of how existence’s fundamental forces operated.

”The more we know about Principles, the more we can grasp them, the better positioned we’ll be,” Noah continued. ”Every Seed we understand is another rule we might learn to write rather than just follow.”

Moiraine nodded, accepting the radiant gems with hands that understood their value. She moved away to begin the process, each step carrying purpose that would transform potential into achievement.

”Be ready,” Noah said to Ruination, the Infiniverse, and Sigrid.

The simple words carried layers...be ready for the Concordat, for conflict, for transformation, for whatever impossibility would next present itself as Tuesday.

He walked toward where the golden sands met the Sacred Waters, each step deliberate, measured, ceremonial. The warm waters accepted his presence as he sat, lapping at his legs and lower body.

He breathed in deeply, finding in this moment something precious...peace.

There were countless things going wrong at this very moment across existence. Threads of chaos wove through every Fold. Death and desolation played out their ancient dance in places he couldn’t see but knew existed.

Yet in all of this turbulence, one had to find time and place for peace. Not escape from responsibility, but recognition that everyone needed moments of stillness.

In this peace, Noah spoke with the commanding certainty of someone making declaration that Existnces would have to acknowledge.

”Like the Living Existences who transcend through distinction, like the Foldless Ones who forge resistances based on what they choose to embody...I shall enact my own True Absolute Existential Resistance on this day.”

HUUM!

The words rang across the Shore with weight that made the Sacred Waters still their motion.

His own resistance.

Not borrowed, not granted, but forged from his own nature and understanding. He had been waiting since he began crafting his Early Creature’s heart, knowing this capability existed but understanding it required the right foundation.

”The resistance of Perpetual Harvest,” he proclaimed, his voice carrying to every corner of his domain, ”based on a true and genuine Principle, shall be forged within my existence!”

The moment the declaration completed, his heart responded.

THUMP.

The beat echoed across the Shore with force that transcended sound. This was an engine of transformation announcing its activation!

THUMP.

Again, louder, the sound carrying through dimensions that normally didn’t conduct sound. His heart had become both forge and hammer, tool and creation simultaneously.

THUMP.

Golden-green light began gathering around him, accumulating like harvest season compressed into moments.

The three Glyphs of the Seed of the Principle of Perpetual Harvest blazed on his body...forehead and both palms, their light providing not just power but authority.

They gave legitimacy to what he was attempting, permission from the Principle itself to forge this unprecedented resistance!

THUMP.

Heartbeat of Perpetual Harvest Detected

Each beat resonating across Early Veiled Shore

Unintended benefit: Acoustic harvest occurring

All entities hearing heartbeat gain: +1,000,000 CQ/PQ per beat

THUMP.

The Tenders paused in their endless labor, their forms straightening as complexity flowed into them with each thunderous heartbeat.

Emperor Penguin stood frozen mid-waddle, his form absorbing advancement with each pulse. Even the Marine Lifeforms in the Aquarium swam closer to the shore, drawn by the rhythm of growth itself!

THUMP.

The process was pain transformed into purpose. In the first chamber of his heart, runic words began carving themselves into his very being. In it, each golden-green letter a declaration that this resistance was not addition but fundamental integration.

PERPETUAL.

The word carved itself with agony that transcended sensation. This was conceptual pain, the hurt of forcing Existence to accept new rules about how it could interact with him.

HARVEST.

The second word followed, each letter a lesson in why most beings didn’t attempt to forge their own resistances. The pain suggested his heart might tear, might fail, might simply refuse to continue containing what he was forcing it to become.

THUMP. THUMP. THUMP.

The beats came faster now, a drumroll of transformation that made the entire Shore vibrate with sympathetic frequency.

Titano, massive and ancient, could only watch with wide eyes as his Brother underwent something that shouldn’t be possible at his level of development.

The golden-green light around Noah intensified, becoming less illumination and more statement.

When his eyes opened, beams of terrifying golden-green light shot forth as announcement...something fundamental had changed!

BOOM!

True Absolute Existential Resistance Successfully Forged

Type: Perpetual Harvest (1% Principle Authority)

Resistance Effects:

Effort Multiplication Defense: Any attempt to harm requires exponential effort

Attackers must ”pay” in effort to overcome resistance

Weak attacks simply fail - insufficient effort available

Strong attacks require conscious decision to expend massive effort

Some beings may stop mid-attack upon realizing effort cost

Psychological Deterrent: Sophisticated beings will question why attacking you requires such effort

May choose not to attack rather than pay incomprehensible effort cost

Creates hesitation in even superior opponents

Practical Application:

|- Being punched now requires attacker to expend effort of punching 100 times

|- Conceptual attacks must overcome conceptual effort barriers

|- Even observation with hostile intent requires effort payment

- Resistance scales with attacker’s power (percentage based, not flat)

...!

Noah stared at the prompts, feeling the change settle into his being like armor made of consequence itself.

This wasn’t immunity...beings could still harm him. But now they would have to mean it, have to want it enough to pay prices that might make them reconsider.

Golden-green light covered everything, transforming the Shore temporarily into a monochrome masterpiece of harvest coloration. In the distance, beings watched in shock as their Master completed something that shouldn’t have been possible.

”Brother...strong!” Titano said simply, but his tone carried awe that transcended his simple vocabulary!
