Infinite Mana In The Apocalypse

Chapter 4064: Of Glory and Principles! III

The seed pulsed with light that suggested consideration.

“I can grow without cessation,” it replied, its voice like wind through grain that would never exist. “I can ensure that what is planted always yields. I can make the soil rich regardless of its nature.”

The First Farmer shook his head gently. “That is mechanics. I speak of principle. When someone works toward something…anything, their effort should harvest results. When they plant kindness, they should harvest connection. When they sow knowledge, they should harvest understanding.”

“You wish me to accelerate not just farming but existence itself,” the seed said with growing comprehension. “To make reality more generous with its rewards.”

“Exactly!” The First Farmer’s excitement made him seem younger, more vital. “Imagine…existence where trying always matters, where effort is never wasted, where even failure plants seeds for future success. You would make Existence itself more fertile.”

…!

Effort!

Trying!

The seed pulsed brighter, its light carrying warmth that transcended temperature.

“I could speed the growth of not just plants but possibilities. Make patience yield results faster. Transform waiting from emptiness into active cultivation.”

“Yes, and more,” the First Farmer continued, his words painting visions of what could be. “You would be the principle that ensures harvest. Not guaranteeing success…that would break important lessons, but ensuring that something always grows from what is planted. Even from salted earth, even from poisoned ground, something could emerge if the farmer’s intent is true.”

They continued this exchange, philosopher and possibility discussing what principle meant.

But as their conversation reached its crescendo, the seed’s light dimmed with sorrow.

“I am missing a critical component,” it admitted, its voice heavy with the weight of incomplete potential. “I cannot become a Seed of Perpetual Harvest without a perpetual force of harvest driving me. The principle is sound, the mechanics are prepared, but the engine… the engine is absent.”

The First Farmer’s expression crumbled from hope to sorrow with speed that suggested practice.

He had failed before. He would fail again. But this failure felt heavier because the success had been so close.

He tried.

He tried again!

And still he failed.

They watched such a thing happen again and again.

Until the First Farmer cried.

He cradled the failed seed against his chest, and when he spoke, his words carried the particular pain of dreams deferred.

“Even though I failed here today, there will come a time when principles bloom like weeds after rain. I will form Seeds of Principles one after another, until the very concept of principle must acknowledge my existence.” His voice grew stronger, more certain. “I will become the Farmer of Principles themselves!”

HUUM!

With those words of mingled sorrow and determination, the Historical Record shattered like glass made of memory.

Everyone’s vision returned to the Early Veiled Shore, consciousness snapping back to the present with the particular disorientation of having witnessed something that transcended normal experience.

It was heavy.

Oh so heavy!

|For observing a grand Record, a Harvest has been Awarded|

|+500 Million Complexity and Purity granted to all observers|

…!

The moment this prompt appeared, bodies throughout the Shore exploded with power.

Fundamentally, existence itself acknowledging their growth and was adjusting to accommodate it!

Sigrid gasped as her already tremendous complexity surged even higher, but this was not the main point of shock.

She looked toward Noah with shock that transcended her usual composure, her eyes asking questions her mouth couldn’t form.

Beside her, Moiraine maintained better control but couldn’t hide the wonder in her expression as power flowed through her like rivers that had just discovered they were oceans.

The Early Living Existential Seed Glyph finished forming on the Infiniverse’s forehead with a pulse of completion that made existence acknowledge something new had been born.

When she opened her eyes, waves of green-gold brilliance exploded outward with force that was somehow both gentle and overwhelming.

…!

Oh.

Oh!!!

Noah read through these capabilities with alarm that transformed into shock, then evolved into something approaching awe.

The implications of even one of these abilities were staggering. Together, they represented power thst was just…ah!

The Infiniverse looked at him with eyes that contained universes of devotion.

“This,” she said simply, “will be one of my first gifts to Master.”

The word ‘first’ hung in the air with promise that suggested she was, indeed, just getting started.

Around them, the Early Veiled Shore itself seemed to pulse with new potential.

The birth of a Principle, even a Seed of one, had changed something fundamental about what was possible here. The golden sands seemed more golden. The Sacred Waters seemed more sacred. The very air carried possibility that hadn’t existed moments before!

The Seed of the Principle of Perpetual Harvest floated in its plot, glowing with satisfaction of purpose finally achieved. It had waited through failure that lasted eons, maintained by nothing but the First Farmer’s hope that someday, somehow, it would find what it needed.

Now it had not just found but been given that missing piece. The Infiniverse’s nature as perpetual force, Noah’s Mana as a perpetual force! Infinite, growing, expanding, never ceasing…had been exactly what was needed!
