Chapter 756: Chapter 756: Battle with Time Elder!

Normally, with the huge commotion Ye Yun had caused in the Wine Fairy Palace, the Time Elder should have broken his seclusion and come straight for him. However, the Time Elder acted out of character, allowing Lu Linlang to go instead. This surely concealed some massive plot.

「Within the Warrior Fairy Palace」

The anxious Chess Fairy was suddenly enveloped in a beam of light and disappeared from his spot.

The Chess Fairy has been captured? Ye Yun was slightly surprised. Even his own disciples were captured. What was this Time Elder really up to?

After the Chess Fairy entered the Ninth Immortal Palace, he vanished without a trace, and no news was heard from him.

The world trembled. A huge phantom figure suddenly solidified. This was an elderly man wearing a simple, ancient robe, with white hair yet a youthful face, emanating the aura of a sage. With a single movement, he soared through the sky and appeared above the Wine Fairy Palace.

”Do you plead guilty?” The Time Elder’s gaze was icy and ruthless, like two piercing swords shooting straight down.

”Guilty of what?” Ye Yun sneered, gave Lu Linlang a light tap, then rose into the air to confront the Time Elder.

”Brother Yun...” Lu Linlang started to speak but stopped, her expression extremely complex.

”Don’t call him Master. What kind of Master is he? Just now, the Chess Fairy was captured by him. If I’m not mistaken, the Time Elder has devoured him by now!” Ye Yun scoffed.

What? The Chess Fairy was devoured by the Time Elder?

Lu Linlang was shocked. Looking at the Time Elder, fear began to fill her eyes. How could their usually kind Master do such a thing?

”Master, is this true?” Lu Linlang asked, her voice trembling.

The Time Elder’s face was cold, a fierce light in his eyes. He nodded. ”Correct. The masters of the Eight Major Immortal Palaces are all my rations...”

”AH!” Lu Linlang retreated repeatedly as if struck by lightning. For a moment, she still couldn’t accept this terrible reality.

”Sister Wine Fairy, this old bastard is no good. Don’t feel sorry for him...” Ruyi Jade Spider chimed in with a grin.

The Time Elder stared down, his eyes flickering. He spoke in a deep voice, ”You spider demon, can you revert to your true form for this Immortal Weng to see?”

Ruyi Jade Spider was taken aback. What did the old man want to see her true form for? Did he have some perverse taste?

”I say, old man, are you also eager to taste my poison?” Ruyi Jade Spider retorted angrily.

”I just remembered something, but I need to confirm it...” the Time Elder said, his brow furrowed.

Confirm? Confirm what? Even Ye Yun was taken aback, unsure what the Time Elder meant.

Currently, the battle between him and the Time Elder had not yet begun. It wouldn’t hurt to let the Time Elder examine Ruyi Jade Spider’s true form. Thinking this, Ye Yun sent a Divine Thought.

”I understand, Master.” Ruyi Jade Spider agreed and transformed, becoming a gigantic, sparkling, translucent spider.

”TSK TSK, what a magnificent spider...” The Time Elder sighed in admiration, his eyes flickering continuously as if searching for something in ancient memories.

”You... are the Ruyi Jade Spider?” The Time Elder’s expression suddenly stiffened, his eyes filled with dread.

”Strange, how did you know, old man?” Ruyi Jade Spider was startled. Only the Immortal Divine Silkworm had ever recognized her kind. How did this Time Elder know her race?

”Ruyi Jade Spider, one of the Five Great Heavenly Demon Clans!”

”I never expected to encounter such a weak Ruyi Jade Spider! I’m truly fortunate, HAHA!” The Time Elder stroked his long beard and laughed triumphantly.

This old Time Elder... he doesn’t seem simple. He actually knows about the Five Great Heavenly Demon Clans from the last epoch. Could he truly have survived from that era? Ye Yun looked at the Time Elder and pondered.

WHOOSH!

The laughing Time Elder’s expression suddenly turned fierce, and he lunged to grab Ye Yun.

”Despicable!” Seeing the old man attempting a sneak attack, Ye Yun raised an eyebrow and let out a cold laugh.

He stretched out a finger, pointing it forward.

BOOM!

The clash of finger and palm created a deafening boom in mid-air.

”Not good!” A sharp pain shot through his palm. The Time Elder was shocked, his body wavering. Suddenly, Changhe Immortal Palace underwent a strange transformation.

A magical force suddenly fell from above, disintegrating the powerful shockwave. Simultaneously, a different teleportation force enveloped Ye Yun, whisking him away.

WHOOSH WHOOSH...

The endless, ancient Time River emanated its primeval aura, flowing ceaselessly around Ye Yun. He found himself within the Time River. Opposite him, the Time Elder also stood in the Time River.

Ye Yun had noticed the teleportation force the moment it descended. Seeing the Time Elder had also been brought along, he allowed it to take full effect. Otherwise, with Lu Linlang still inside The Inside of the Long River Fairy Palace, Ye Yun would not have come here.

Standing in the turbulent Time River, a mysterious and immense power continually battered Ye Yun’s physical body, relentlessly trying to break it down. Enveloped in divine light, Ye Yun stood firm.

”This Time River is my domain! Young man, surrender now, and I’ll grant you a dignified death!” Standing in the Time River, the Time Elder glowed all over, his eyes bright, like a god of time.

”Can this mere Time River really do anything to me?” Ye Yun sneered.

”A Divine Monarch Realm cultivator can last at most two hours in the Time River before being eroded by time and dissipating into particles...” the Time Elder said with a faint smile.

”You old fox, you’re truly cunning...” Ye Yun chuckled.

The next moment, his black hair whipped around him, his eyes glinted, and he strode across the surging Time River, advancing on the Time Elder with an air of invincibility.

”Overconfident!” The Time Elder sneered and thrust a palm forward.

WHOOSH!

The Time River surged, forming a colossal palm of water that slapped fiercely at Ye Yun.

BOOM!

Ye Yun punched out. The watery palm of the Time River instantly dispersed.

This guy is so strong! Seeing this, the Time Elder was taken aback. He hadn’t expected a mere Divine Monarch Realm Cultivator to possess such terrifying combat strength.

”Changhe Immortal Palace!” the Time Elder roared.

The distant Changhe Immortal Palace suddenly blazed with light. It flew up, like a great mountain pressing down on Ye Yun.

Ye Yun was about to counter with a punch when he remembered Lu Linlang and Ruyi Jade Spider were still inside it. He instantly abandoned the thought. With a ghostly flicker, he ignored the vastness of the Time River, appearing before the Time Elder in an instant.

Ye Yun drew his Sword and slashed at the Time Elder.

So fast! The Time Elder was greatly alarmed and hastily activated a Divine Skill.

A flash of sword light descended in an instant. However, just as the sword light reached him, the Time Elder’s body dissolved into countless particles, merging into the ceaseless flow of the Time River and vanishing completely.

”HAHA! My clones are numberless, spread throughout the entire Time River! What can you possibly do to me?” From all directions, countless mocking voices of the Time Elder suddenly rang out.

Is that so? Ye Yun remained unfazed. He merely smiled faintly, his gaze sweeping around, his expression utterly calm.
