Checking in for 100,000 Years

Chapter 569: Chapter 569: Warning from the Five-Clawed Golden Dragon

”Mo Xuan, my friend, aren’t you treating your Divine Dragon Mount... a bit too well?” the red-faced man exclaimed in surprise.

”Exactly! Do you intend to, like the Star Demon Clan, cultivate this Level 3 Divine-respected Realm Dragon to reach the Divine King Realm?”

”To be on an equal footing with you?”

”Haha!”

The others also broke into laughter.

These words were especially harsh, making Mo Xuan inwardly embarrassed. I really want to teach them a lesson right now! However, his Senior had asked him to cooperate, so he couldn’t show his anger.

”Brothers, the Dragon Clan was once a very powerful race, even stronger than our Demon Clan. They deserve to be treated equally!” Mo Xuan coughed lightly and said solemnly.

”Alright, fine. Since you have the highest cultivation base here, you call the shots!” The red-faced man laughed heartily, not seeming to mind.

They could all see that after Mo Xuan’s recent closed-door cultivation, he had broken through to the Fifth Level of the Divine King Realm. Among them, his cultivation base was naturally the highest. Therefore, they didn’t dare to joke too much, fearing they might anger this old fellow Mo Xuan. Everyone knew Mo Xuan had a very volatile temper; once angered, he wouldn’t spare anyone. If a fight broke out, it wouldn’t end well.

Ye Yun sat down, holding a wine cup, and took a light sip. The wine in the Demon World was very potent, but it quite suited Ye Yun’s taste.

At that moment, Wu De also led Princess Mofi to sit down.

”Isn’t this the Primal Demon Lord? How come he’s with Princess Mofi?” the red-faced man asked curiously.

”This is... my son-in-law...” Mo Xuan quickly added from the side.

”Oh, so that’s it! Mo Xuan, my friend, why didn’t you hold a celebratory banquet?” the red-faced man inquired.

”After returning from the Star Demon Sea, I’ll hold a wedding banquet for them. I hope you brothers will come and grace us with your presence!” Mo Xuan cupped his fists and said with a smile.

”Without a doubt, we will definitely attend this wedding banquet!” Everyone burst into laughter.

”Seniors, care for a cup of wine?” Wu De extended his hand with a playful smile.

The red-faced man immediately filled a cup and handed it to Wu De. Although Wu De’s cultivation seemed weak to him, he was, after all, Mo Xuan’s son-in-law—a status not to be taken lightly.

Everyone began to drink.

Mo Xuan and the others chatted and laughed, thoroughly enjoying their drinks. However, he would occasionally glance at Ye Yun from the corner of his eye. He noticed that this terrifying Senior was just pouring and drinking by himself, and his heart relaxed a bit. Good, he’s just minding his own business.

After a few cups of wine, Ye Yun suddenly picked up a jug, raised his cup, stood up, and said, ”You all continue chatting. I’m going to drink over there!”

”Oh... alright!” Mo Xuan hesitated for a moment, then remembered Ye Yun’s instructions and quickly nodded.

The others couldn’t have been happier to see this Divine Dragon leave, so they naturally said nothing.

Seeing his Boss leave, Wu De couldn’t sit still either. He quickly grabbed a jug of wine and hurried after Ye Yun.

Ye Yun walked over to a Yellow Dragon. This was a Five-clawed Golden Dragon. Its bloodline purity wasn’t high, and its cultivation base was at the Ninth Level of the Divine Monarch Realm.

”Brother Dragon, shall we have a drink together?” Ye Yun said with a meaningful glint in his eyes, then handed over his wine cup.

The Five-clawed Golden Dragon opened its eyes, looking at Ye Yun in astonishment. It had, of course, observed the arrival of Ye Yun and the others with its Divine Sense the entire time. I never expected this dragon to be on equal footing with those Demon Clan Divine King experts!

”I cannot drink this wine, but I appreciate your gesture...” the Five-clawed Golden Dragon said softly, then closed its eyes and continued to sleep. I feel no excitement at seeing one of my own kind.

Ye Yun sighed, his expression turning a little grim.

He approached another Supreme Azure Dragon, offering a wine cup with a smile. ”Brother of the Dragon Clan, would you like a drink?”

The Supreme Azure Dragon, its eyes still closed, simply shook its head, rejecting Ye Yun’s kind gesture.

”You! You’re being a bit too aloof, aren’t you? My Boss kindly offered you a drink, and you don’t even appreciate it?” Wu De, unable to watch any longer, immediately cursed in embarrassment and anger.

”As mounts for the masters, we should have the appropriate understanding...” The Supreme Azure Dragon glanced at Wu De, sighed, and simply closed its eyes again.

Wu De was so furious he wanted to rush over and give it a good thrashing, but Ye Yun placed a hand on his shoulder, holding him back.

Mo Xuan, who was also constantly monitoring the situation nearby, saw Ye Yun’s actions. It seems I understand something now.

”Your Divine Dragon Mount, it sure loves to meddle...” the red-faced man took a sip of wine and mumbled.

”So what if it meddles?! Let’s just drink! Don’t discuss this matter anymore!” Mo Xuan said with a grim face, his tone ominous.

Seeing the signs that Mo Xuan was about to lose his temper, the others instantly felt a chill run down their spines and didn’t dare mention the matter again.

They continued drinking.

「Meanwhile,」 Ye Yun approached several Divine Dragons in succession, only to be met with a cold shoulder each time. Wu De stood by fuming, indignantly sticking up for him.

Ye Yun approached the last Divine Dragon, one at the Divine Sovereign Realm. This was also a Five-clawed Golden Dragon, curled up and lying lazily on a bluestone, seemingly asleep.

Ye Yun sat down and drained the wine cup in his hand. Then he poured another.

”Your Excellency, though you seem successful, you’re actually in great danger!” the Five-clawed Golden Dragon opened one eye, looked at Ye Yun, and said in a low voice.

”What danger?” Ye Yun smiled.

”You’ll know when you reach the Star Demon Sea...” the Five-clawed Golden Dragon said meaningfully.

”Still trying to keep me in suspense? Do you think you’re qualified?” Ye Yun frowned. The air around them suddenly turned cold.

”You are at the Third Layer of the God-Honored Realm, while I am merely at the First Level of the Divine Sovereign Realm. Indeed, I am not qualified. But since you want to know, what harm is there in telling you?” the Five-clawed Golden Dragon snorted coldly. ”The grand event at the Star Demon Sea will attract countless powerful experts from the Demon Clan. If your status surpasses that of your Demon Clan Master, it will likely cause public indignation! At that point, not even Clan Chief Mo Xuan will be able to protect you!”

”You, Little Dragon, stop spouting nonsense!” Hearing this, Mo Xuan was scared out of his wits. He instantly flashed over and aimed a kick at the Five-clawed Golden Dragon.

Ye Yun stretched out his hand and pulled Mo Xuan back.

”What it said might have some truth to it. I’d just like to see who dares to make a move against me,” Ye Yun turned to Mo Xuan and said with a half-smile.

”Senior...” Cold sweat immediately beaded on Mo Xuan’s forehead, and he hastily sent a voice transmission.

Ye Yun waved his hand impatiently. ”Go back and drink your wine!”

Mo Xuan quickly turned and left.

Seeing this, the other Demon Clan experts were greatly astonished. Although the two had communicated via voice transmission, the others could roughly guess what was happening. No one could have imagined that a dignified Devilish Practitioner at the Fifth Level of the Divine King Realm would be so subservient when facing that Divine Dragon. This was completely illogical!

「On the other side.」

”He... how did he manage to do that?” The Five-clawed Golden Dragon stared wide-eyed at Ye Yun, its heart filled with astonishment and shock.
