I Just Started College, How Could I Become a Part-Time Papa?!

Chapter 152: Chapter 91: Their Form of Address

”Mm-hmm.”

Deftly handling the camera, Chen Yuan quickly adjusted the settings and handed it to Jiang Wanyi.

Chen Yuan got up, holding Mili. He didn’t strike any particular pose, just sat cross-legged on the floor and held her in front of him. Jiang Wanyi pressed the shutter, and the picture was taken.

Next, he lifted Mili onto his shoulders. Her small, fair hands rested on Chen Yuan’s head, and his own hands held hers. Jiang Wanyi found the right moment and snapped a few more candid shots.

After she was done, she looked at the photos on the camera. Although they weren’t as good as Chen Yuan’s, Jiang Wanyi still thought they were pretty nice.

But what really caught her attention was how similar the two of them looked, especially when they smiled.

Chen Yuan carried the baby over and sat down in front of Jiang Wanyi.

”You took some pretty good ones. We’ll keep them as mementos.”

”No wonder people mistake you two for father and daughter when you go out. Look at your smiles—you really do look alike.”

”Call it fate.”

”Hmph. So full of yourself.”

Jiang Wanyi held the camera, looking at Chen Yuan as if she wanted to say something but was hesitating.

”What are you hesitating about? You don’t actually want us to get a DNA test, do you?”

”Oh, get out of here.”

She chided him, her expression full of a youthful charm. ”I was actually thinking... why don’t we take a picture together?”

”That’s a great idea. Let’s take a family photo.”

Jiang Wanyi was overjoyed. This was exactly what she meant, but she had been afraid that if she said the two words ”family photo,” Chen Yuan would overthink it.

Now that he didn’t object, there was no problem.

”I’ll go get the tripod.”

Back in the bedroom, Jiang Wanyi brought out the camera tripod. Chen Yuan took care of the setup, and all that was left was to pose.

”How should we pose?”

”You on the left, me on the right, and we’ll put Mili in the middle.”

Jiang Wanyi covered her mouth and smiled, a bashful look in her eyes. ”Now we really look like a family of three.”

”Aren’t we already like a family of three? Or are you planning to find another dad for Mili?”

”Of course not! Don’t be ridiculous.”

Jiang Wanyi sat in front of the lens holding the baby. Chen Yuan set the timer and sat down on the right side. They sat close together with the child between them.

CLICK!

The picture was taken.

Chen Yuan walked over and picked up the camera, and Jiang Wanyi leaned in to take a look.

Although the other photos were also very good, the moment she saw this one, she felt it was absolutely perfect.

Whether it was her, Chen Yuan, or Mili, everyone’s expression was spot-on. You couldn’t find a single flaw.

Looking at the photo, Chen Yuan was slightly lost in thought.

In the picture, Jiang Wanyi’s smile was gentle and graceful, filled with love for her child and contentment with her happiness. Mili was grinning, her eyes squeezed into little slits. That kind of instinctive emotion was the most heart-touching.

’And as for me,’ he thought, ’I’m just your average super-handsome guy. I look good in any photo.’

[Mission Complete: Reward 1800 yuan in cash, Focus +5%]

The sudden ”Mission Complete” notification was a bit unexpected for Chen Yuan.

’We haven’t even done the outdoor shoot tomorrow, but it’s already complete today?’

Other than the cash notification, he didn’t feel anything from the mission reward.

As for the boost in focus, Chen Yuan thought it was quite nice, as it could subtly influence every aspect of his life.

”It’s about time. Let’s take her for a bath first.”

”Okay.”

With practiced ease, the two of them took Mili for her bath. Afterward, they brought her back to the spare bedroom, fed her, and lulled her to sleep.

After being busy for over three hours, Jiang Wanyi was also a bit tired.

When she came out, she saw Chen Yuan lying on the floor mat, looking exceptionally relaxed.

”I’ll leave this spot for your workout. I’m going to go lie on the sofa for a bit.”

”I’m tired too. I’ll skip my workout today.”

Sitting inside the playpen, Jiang Wanyi smiled and patted her lap. ”The sofa cushions aren’t comfortable to rest your head on. Lie here.”

”Hehe...”

Shuffling over, Chen Yuan laid his head on Jiang Wanyi’s lap.

”Ah, that’s so much more comfortable.”

Looking at the big boy resting on her lap, a gentle smile appeared on Jiang Wanyi’s face as she savored this rare, relaxing moment of the day.

Whenever it was late and quiet, the events of the past few days would surface in Jiang Wanyi’s mind, refusing to fade.

Without Chen Yuan, this period would have certainly been painful.

Now, it was both painful and happy.

While he was taking care of the child, he was also healing her.

”We have to see the doctor tomorrow. Did you make an appointment?” Chen Yuan asked, resting with his eyes closed.

”The appointment is for 10:30, so we don’t have to get up early.”

Chen Yuan hummed in acknowledgment and said no more, continuing to enjoy resting on Jiang Wanyi’s lap.

”Let me ask you a question.”

”The answer is yes.”

”I’m gonna pinch you. Stop messing around.”

Apparently, Jiang Wanyi had heard this old joke before.

”What’s the question?”

”When Mili calls you ’Daddy,’ does it bother you?”

This was a question Jiang Wanyi had been thinking about a lot recently.

Words like ”Daddy” and ”family photo” would invisibly tie him to her and the baby, which might put intangible pressure on him.

Chen Yuan opened his eyes and looked at Jiang Wanyi. ”Why would it bother me? Wasn’t I the one who told her to call me that?”

”Before, it was just for fun, but now it’s starting to feel a little official.”

”What’s wrong with her officially calling me Daddy? Is it going to change my DNA or something?”

Jiang Wanyi laughed. ”I was just worried about putting pressure on you. You don’t have to overthink it; it’s just a title.”

”Well, that’s a shame. In that case, I guess I can’t call you ’the baby’s momma’ anymore.”

”You’re pretty attached to that title, aren’t you?” Jiang Wanyi said with a laugh.

”Of course.”

”She’s already calling you Daddy, so isn’t it normal for you to call me the baby’s momma?”
