Chaotic Sword God

Several hundred million kilometres away, Jian Chen fell out of the air. The shaking space restricted his hiding ability.

He did not hesitate at all. With the heavily-injured Thousand Soul Demon Exalt in one hand and the Immortal Devouring Orchid that had shrunk to a fraction of its original size wrapped around his wrist, he crossed almost half of the heaven with a step.

After reaching the Ninth Heavenly Layer of Immortal Emperor with the Laws of Space, his speed had increased drastically.

“Hehehehe, Yang Yutian, your mastery over the Laws of Space is still a little too low.” Suddenly, a sneer rang out. The space around Jian Chen instantly froze. Everything was set in place. Jian Chen was also restrained as a result.

Jian Chen narrowed his eyes. This was the Laws of Space from a Fourth Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt!

The Thousand Soul Demon Exalt stood up. His face was pale as blood dribbled from the corner of his mouth. He opened his mouth and spat out a cloud of black demon Qi, which turned into a great force that slammed against the frozen space.

Bang! A heavy sound rang out from the surrounding space. The restraints created by the lurking expert through the Laws of Space had been destroyed. Jian Chen used this opportunity to grab the Thousand Soul Demon Exalt and flee once more, arriving in outer space.

The Thousand Soul Demon Exalt coughed violently. His face became even more sheet-white, giving off a sense of haggardness.

Behind, the Space-splitting Venerable and the mid Immortal Exalts continued to pursue him relentlessly. They constantly interfered with space, drastically affecting Jian Chen’s Divine Armour of Heavenflight.

But fortunately, his Laws of Space had already reached the Ninth Heavenly Layer of Immortal Emperor. Coupled with the ability he inherited from the Spatial Insect Emperor, he possessed a natural intimacy with space. Although he was only at the Ninth Heavenly Layer, both his control and usage of space had surpassed his comprehension. As such, Jian Chen was able to slip away time and time again despite the pursuit of multiple mid Immortal Exalts.

However, this was only for the time being!

Suddenly, the landscape before Jian Chen changed. It was replaced by a sea of snowy-white. He gathered his focus to look at it and discovered that a white piece of paper had appeared before him. It was an extremely huge piece of white paper. When it unfurled, it could easily wrap an entire planet.

At this moment, the paper seemed to have replaced the space there. As it lingered, the surrounding space twisted violently. The Laws of Space were severely affected. This region of space seemed to fall under the paper’s control.

This was no regular sheet of paper but a high quality god artifact that possessed the mysteries of space!

Jian Chen’s face sank. Before the white paper, he felt that the Laws of Space he inherited from the Spatial Insect Emperor were suppressed for the first time in his life as if they had left his control.

At this moment, the huge sheet of paper began to fold. It began to wrap around Jian Chen with extremely powerful Laws of Space.

Jian Chen immediately used the Laws of Space in an attempt to escape, but he discovered that his unfaltering Laws of Space had actually become useless. When he took a step, he remained where he was.

It was as if this space was entirely under the paper’s control.

“Even if he is to be captured, he should end up in the hands of my Immortal Sect of Colossal Elephants. Even if he is to die, he can only die by the hands of my Immortal Sect of Colossal Elephants. You lingering imps, you can all piss off!” The Space-splitting Venerable roared furiously. He radiated with killing intent and directly threw a merciless punch at the paper.

Boom!

With a rumble, the high quality god artifact paper was blown away by the Space-splitting Venerable’s punch. It dimmed, and the mysteries of space it radiated with collapsed in chunks as well.

Without the paper interfering with the space, Jian Chen’s movements were no longer restricted. He immediately shot off into the distance using the Laws of Space.

However, as soon as he vanished, a colossal, metal cage appeared where he was previously, sealing up the space.

The pursuit and battle that unfolded in outer space had drawn over all the experts on the Reverent Observance Heaven.

At this moment, the various Immortal Exalts throughout the Reverent Observance Heaven hovered above their respective sects and gazed at outer space with mixed feelings. Some of them were full of sighs. They could not imagine that an Immortal Emperor could outmaneuver so many mid Immortal Exalts for so long.

There were also other people who were furious. Their eyes shone with coldness and malice. They thought about how this person was responsible for all the peak organisations that had been destroyed on the Reverent Observance Heaven.

On the highest floor of the city lord’s estate in the Observance Heaven City, the present city lord, Jiang Pingtian, stood with his hands by his side. His gaze towards outer space was filled with worry and a deep sense of helplessness.

He wanted to assist, but he was also wary of something, so he could only hold back this urge.

“These people have truly gone too far.” At this moment, a cold voice rang out from behind Jiang Pingtian.

A middle-aged man in white clothes silently appeared there. He also gazed at outer space. The depths of his eyes were filled with bone-chilling coldness.

He was the other vice city lord apart from the Master of Fire Virtue, Lu Wujin!

Jiang Pingtian looked at Lu Wujin beside him. There was a hint of surprise in his eyes. “From how indignant you seem, are you planning on assisting him?”

Lu Wujin reached out with his hand and a snowy-white blade appeared there. Despite its glow being entirely contained without giving off any presence at all, it still radiated with a heavy sense of pressure.

The blade came from out of the twelve courts of heaven, the Courtyard of Ways. It was one of the Courtyard of Ways’ sovereign god artifacts, the Way-bearing blade!

“If there are no accidents, Jian Chen will struggle to escape. No matter how wondrous his Laws of Space are, he’ll still struggle to escape from an encirclement of so many Immortal Exalts.” Lu Wujin gripped the Way-bearing blade as his eyes shone with powerful battle intent!

“Why are you helping him?” Jiang Pingtian was curious.

When he heard that, Lu Wujin became slightly dazed. He said sternly, “Because he is the master of the Sword Sect of Violet Heavens. Regardless of what his true background is, since he bears the title of the master of the Sword Sect of Violet Heavens, I can’t let other people go after him.”

“The person they hunt down can be Jian Chen, Chang Yang, or Yang Yutian. I can ignore all of that. However, it definitely can’t be the master of the Sword Sect of Violet Heavens!”

A hint of surprise flashed through Jiang Pingtian’s eyes. “The implications of this are quite large. Even with the strength of you and me, it can only be described as futile. It might even cost us our lives if we get involved. Have you thought it through?”

“The Sword Sect of Violet Heavens has been targeted by various people in the past, declining with each passing day. I witnessed all of it and remained silent. But now, I truly can’t just stand by and watch as the master of the Sword Sect of Violet Heavens is hunted down,” Lu Wujin said emotionlessly. After that, he stopped hesitating, directly entering outer space with the Way-bearing blade.

It was also at this moment that the Way-bearing blade released its pressure, erupting with blinding light. It immediately ceased to hide its might as a sovereign god artifact, releasing it freely.

“Lu Wujin, what are you trying to do? Are you really trying to make a mortal enemy out of our Immortal Sect of Colossal Elephants?”

Lu Wujin’s appearance made the Space-splitting Venerable’s face change drastically. He called out furiously.

The former was a Sixth Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalt, but he did originate from the Courtyard of Ways after all. He even bore a sovereign god artifact. As a result, Lu Wujin was so powerful that even the Space-splitting Venerable was extremely wary of him.

“Don’t tell me the blade in his hand is the Courtyard of Ways’ Way-bearing blade?”

The Immortal Exalts who intercepted Jian Chen nearby also looked at Lu Wujin subconsciously. Their gazes all gathered on the Way-bearing blade, becoming filled with envy and jealousy.

Lu Wujin’s face was frosty. Right when he was about to say something, he furrowed his brows and looked at the space nearby.

The Space-splitting Venerable and the other Immortal Exalts all seemed to sense this as well. They all looked over sternly.

A huge crack suddenly appeared where their gazes gathered. Violent streams of energy and temporal storms rushed out from inside, together with a tremendous pressure that shocked all of the Immortal Exalts present.

This was the supreme pressure of Ninth Heavenly Layer Immortal Exalts!

When the pressure appeared, all of the Immortal Exalts’ hearts tightened, including the Space-splitting Venerable’s. They were on full alert.

“Hahaha, old man Soaring Immortal, you better just stay here obediently…” The Dungeon Demon God’s fearless laughter rang out from the spatial crack. Shortly afterwards, destructive energy erupted from inside.
