Chaotic Sword God

“It’s not like I don’t have a way to keep the Soaring Immortal Heavenly Emperor busy. I just need any of Fang Jing, the Chaotic Star Heavenly Emperor, or the Heavenly Emperor of Sword Radiance. With any of them around, the Soaring Immortal Heavenly Emperor will be too busy to deal with me. In particular, if Fang Jing were to come, her influence would even surpass the other two heavenly emperors,” Jian Chen thought to himself. He was not without methods to handle the Soaring Immortal Heavenly Emperor, but he really did not want to bother these people unless he had truly run out of options.

If he owed them too many favours, he would probably struggle to repay them in the future.

“If I can’t do that, then I can attack the Immortal Feather sect with the Divine Formation of Heavens. It doesn’t matter if I don’t manage to kill anyone from the Immortal Feather sect. I just need to cause you some problems.” Jian Chen suddenly thought of that idea, but he soon dismissed it with a shake of his head.

Attacking the Immortal Feather sect? That was far too risky. It was the main base of a court of heaven after all. There must have been a Grand Exalt’s formation. At the same time, apart from the Soaring Immortal Heavenly Emperor, there were other late Immortal Exalts in the Immortal Feather sect. They would not be as easy to deal with as he imagined.

“What about exposing some of my tracks on other heavens and drawing the Soaring Immortal Heavenly Emperor over? But that won’t really work either. Heavenly emperors move too quickly. They even possess secret techniques that can allow them to cross a vast distance instantly. The Soaring Immortal Heavenly Emperor will probably have enough time to do multiple trips before I even make it back…”

No matter how Jian Chen thought, he was unable to come up with an appropriate idea. After all, he was not facing a regular Immortal Exalt this time but a heavenly emperor who stood at the peak of the world. The abilities of these people were immense. They were capable of unimaginable things, so they were not as easy to deceive.

At the very least, they could not be deceived by a minor figure who was not even an Immortal Exalt like him.

“The pavilion master said that the Soaring Immortal Heavenly Emperor would face a tribulation in the near future. When it comes to biding time, the Soaring Immortal Heavenly Emperor definitely can’t outlast me. If that’s the case, then I’d like to see just how long you can remain in the Sword Region of Violet Heavens.” Jian Chen gritted his teeth and chose to wait out the Soaring Immortal Heavenly Emperor.

Afterwards, Jian Chen notified the innkeeper that he would be in secluded cultivation before locking himself in his room. He wanted to limit any chance of being spotted, so he did not head out as much as possible.

The Soaring Immortal Heavenly Emperor was powerless against him even if Jian Chen was seen through in the Observance Heaven City.

However, once an expert of that level locked onto him, he basically could not leave at all. He had to remain in the Observance Heaven City forever.

“With my limited resources right now, I can only maintain my current level of the Chaotic Body. As for the Laws of the Sword, I’ll struggle to make any progress for the time being too. On top of that, the limitations from the Martial Soul lineage will probably prevent my Laws of the Sword from reaching Immortal Exalt.”

“Out of all the laws I’ve comprehended, unless I reach late Immortal Emperor with them, they’ll struggle to be of any assistance to me in battle. However, reaching late Immortal Emperor with them isn’t something I can achieve in a short period of time. I’ll need an extended period of comprehension and accumulation.”

“As a result, all I can do right now is to continue comprehending the Hundred Superimposition Sword. Each additional layer I comprehend will directly increase my strength.” Jian Chen calculated.

He might have grasped over a dozen laws right now, but they were too much to chew. Right now, the only ones that were of actual use to him were the Laws of the Sword and the Laws of Space.

Afterwards, with a flip of his hand, Jian Chen produced a jade disc.

The disc was ordinary in appearance. It did not give off any ripples of energy. It seemed like a regular item. No one would connect the jade disc with the thought of treasure from a single glance.

However, when Jian Chen held the jade disc in his hand, he was solemn like he was holding great treasure. As a matter of fact, a hint of burning fervour even appeared in the depths of his eyes.

He had accidentally obtained this jade disc when he was comprehending the Hundred Superimposition Sword inside the Skyscraping World.

Now, he had already confirmed that the jade disc originated from the Hole of Reincarnation. The Hundred Superimposition Sword that the Skyscraping Sword Venerable comprehended also originated from the jade disc in his hand.

In simpler terms, the jade disc in his hand was for passing on the Hundred Superimposition Sword.

“It has already become a public belief in the Immortals’ World that items from the Hole of Reincarnation are enough to change the fates of people. They are a shortcut to the apex. Now, I technically also possess one of these items,” Jian Chen thought. The Hole of Reincarnation had existed through the eons. It represented mystery and the unknown. However, Daowei Chengqing’s emergence from the Hole of Reincarnation finally allowed the people in the Immortals’ World to recognise its wonders.

That was because Daowei Chengqing emerged with two items from the Hole of Reincarnation, the Book of the Populace and the Dominion’s Brush. They led to the rise of two supreme experts, Daowei Fatian and Fang Jing.

The former had become a Grand Exalt because of the Book of the Populace, truly achieving an evolution.

The latter had also become a terrifying existence that surpassed heavenly emperors due to the strength of the Dominion’s Brush.

In the past, heavenly emperors were supreme experts only second to Grand Exalts, but now, this rule had almost been rewritten. Fang Jing had appeared between the heavenly emperors and the Grand Exalts.

On top of that, the three servants by Daowei Chengqing’s side had never stood out before. They never even came close to the concept of talent.

Yet even with their aptitude, they became late Immortal Exalts in an extremely short period of time. Even many unprecedented deviants of monstrous talent could only look up to this grand feat.

This had all occurred because of the Hole of Reincarnation.

Sitting on his bed, Jian Chen sucked in a deep breath and dismissed all other thoughts. He gathered his mind and began comprehending the jade disc in his hand.

When his consciousness made contact with the jade disc, an ancient and profound presence immediately radiated out. There were two kinds of this presence. One of them was the presence of the Hole of Reincarnation, while the other was a power that contained the secrets of the Hundred Superimposition Sword.

Comprehending the Hundred Superimposition Sword through the jade disc was vastly different from comprehending the tablet that the Skyscraping Sword Venerable had left behind in the Skyscraping World.

The Hundred Superimposition Sword left behind by the Skyscraping Sword Venerable had been created through a mixture of his ways and technique. It only contained the Skyscraping Sword Venerable’s personal comprehension.

Meanwhile, comprehending the Hundred Superimposition Sword through the jade disc involved a single simple strand of presence, a presence that contained the wonders of the ways.

However, Jian Chen had already sensed that only the Hundred Superimposition Sword comprehended from the jade disc in his hand would be the purest kind. If he were fortunate enough, he could grasp all one hundred layers.

On the other hand, if he walked the Skyscraping Sword Venerable’s path, his lifelong achievements would struggle to surpass the level that the Skyscraping Sword Venerable had reached.

Before he knew it, Jian Chen had already entered a state of semi-consciousness. He had completely submerged himself in the wondrous world of the Hundred Superimposition Sword. The mysterious presence inside the jade disc was like a medium, drawing Jian Chen into this wondrous state.

In this state, Jian Chen felt like he had entered a strange new world. There was no landscape in this world. There was no time or space, nor any celestial bodies. There was only an extremely profound kind of indescribable law.

This law was different from the ones he usually came into contact with and comprehended. It seemed to possess a great power that originated from the birth of the universe.

From this power, Jian Chen sensed the silhouette of the Hundred Superimposition Sword and its secrets.
