The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

”Employment system?”

Carson Flores looked at Zephyra in surprise: ”Like employer and employee?”

Zephyra chuckled and nodded: ”Yes, although Immortal Gathering Island is powerful, most of the talents participating in the Gathering Immortals Assembly every five hundred years are associated with Sects. Expecting them to leave their sects and join Immortal Gathering Island is obviously unrealistic.”

”The purpose of Immortal Gathering Island is cooperation and mutual benefit, so we don’t mind whether these talents join Immortal Gathering Island or not. Instead, we choose to cooperate, set up contracts, and once the contracts are completed, the talents can decide whether to renew. Those who do not wish to renew will take a secrecy oath and be sent off.”

Carson Flores was slightly surprised, is the concept so advanced?

It’s actually a contract cooperation model?

Carson Flores previously thought that the Immortal Gathering Island would certainly recruit powerful or exceptionally potential cultivators. It seemed unlikely that these individuals were Loose Cultivators, and for sect-associated cultivators to join Immortal Gathering Island seemed unreal. Now he knew the answer.

Carson Flores pondered and asked, ”The Immortal Gathering Island holds the Gathering Immortals Assembly every five hundred years; do those wishing to leave need to wait until the next assembly?”

”No!”

Zephyra chuckled: ”As long as the related contract is completed, you can leave at any time. Every action is bound by a contract, so you don’t need to worry about us cheating. We’ve held countless assemblies over five hundred years, and our reputation is excellent.”

As they spoke, they had passed through mountain mist and arrived in front of an expanse of palaces.

Carson Flores was led by Zephyra into the grand hall and saw a large rack at the entrance. Various small items were displayed on it, such as hairpins, jade beads, bells, fans, etc., appearing to be ornaments around women.

These small items were neatly arranged on the rack, but many of the wooden racks for placing the small items were already empty.

Zephyra stopped and smiled: ”Sir, please choose one.”

Carson Flores asked curiously: ”What does this mean?”

Zephyra chuckled: ”Guests come from afar, and as hosts, Immortal Gathering Island naturally wants to entertain everyone well. Each item here corresponds to a Maiden, who will accompany and take care of guests during their stay on the island.”

Carson Flores glanced at the rack of small items and asked with seeming confusion: ”Take care?”

Zephyra’s eyes gleamed, full of laughter: ”Yes, fulfilling all the guests’ needs, making them feel at home.”

Perhaps this is what people mean by enjoying the finest women?

Is this beauty trap set by Immortal Gathering Island for everyone?

Carson Flores had no intentions stirred, but he didn’t act aloof by refusing to choose. His gaze swept over the entire rack, then casually beckoned a wooden hairpin from the corner, which flew over and landed in his hand.

The wooden hairpin had no formation support, nor was it refined into anything; it was just a plain wooden hairpin anyone could use, looking quite old as if it had been used for countless years.

Most of the items on the racks were refined magic artifacts with embedded formations, each having a function, making this wooden hairpin quite inconspicuous.

Zephyra briefly showed surprise when Carson chose the wooden hairpin, then returned to calm, smiling: ”This wooden hairpin looks ordinary; why did you choose it, sir?”

Carson Flores casually answered: ”Just grabbed randomly, is there some significance in these?”

Zephyra shook her head and laughed lightly: ”No significance, you can take whichever. The items here are mostly pretty, this wooden hairpin is quite ordinary, placed in the corner, yet you chose it right away, just a bit curious.”

Carson Flores blinked and chuckled: ”I prefer simpler things.”

Zephyra nodded: ”I see... Please follow me, sir!”

Zephyra led Carson Flores through the front hall, then arrived at the back hall, where the noise already carried out.

At least hundreds of people were in the grand hall, each with a square table before them, adorned with fine cuisine and spirits, accompanied by a breathtaking beauty attending to them.

Wow, what a setup!

Carson Flores was still at the entrance, the aroma of wine and food already wafting over, making his mouth water, unconsciously wanting to inhale more.

Carson’s appearance drew many eyes, but only momentarily, as everyone quickly turned their gaze away.

Carson Flores followed Zephyra to an empty square table, smiling: ”Sir, you have traveled far and wide; refresh yourself with a meal and drink. The Maiden you chose will soon come to serve you, feel free to tell her if you need anything.”

”Alright, thank you, Miss!”

Zephyra looked deeply at Carson Flores and chuckled: ”Sir, Zephyra will take her leave, enjoy your meal.”
