The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

”He is the Demon Emperor, Samir Coffey. He and I started off on the wrong foot and became friends nonetheless. I found a body for him, swapped his soul, and got your body back.”

Carson Flores pointed at Samir Coffey, who was smiling beside him. ”We can consider ourselves friends now, right?”

Westin Flores looked at Samir Coffey in shock. Is this the Demon Emperor who seized his body and suppressed his soul?

His son started on the wrong foot with him and became friends?

Has Carson become so powerful that he can now contend with a Demon Emperor?

Samir Coffey laughed heartily: ”His memories are still stuck in the Barbaric Wilderness Realm. Westin, although I occupied your body, you should thank me; otherwise, you would’ve died in Harmony Hollow back then.”

”Over the years, even though I was using your body, I’ve been cultivating and have reached the level of a Supreme Immortal. Oh, you probably don’t know what a Supreme Immortal is. After ascending from the Hollow Void Stage, it’s Human Immortal, Earth Immortal, True Immortal, Golden Immortal, Heavenly Immortal; only then comes the Profound Immortal, then Supreme Immortal. Now that I’m returning your body, you’ve gotten a great advantage!”

”Of course, you didn’t gain this advantage without cost. It’s all thanks to your remarkable son. If it weren’t for him reconstructing the Ascension Passage of the Barbaric Wilderness Realm, no cultivators there could ascend to immortality. I, the Demon Emperor, would’ve still been fighting to the death with the Human Emperor, your son, in the Barbaric Wilderness Realm.”

Westin was completely stunned.

Ascended to immortality?

And a Great Land Immortal at that?

His son opened the Ascension Passage for the entire Barbaric Wilderness Realm?

Is he really that incredible?

Suddenly, Westin thought of a question and asked in alarm, ”How many years have I been asleep?”

The few words from Samir Coffey were enough to elicit fear in Westin. Could he have slept for thousands upon thousands of years?

Carson grabbed Westin’s hand and gently reassured him: ”Dad, don’t worry, we last met only decades ago. Mom is still doing well; though their power level isn’t sufficient yet and they’re still in the Barbaric Wilderness Realm, we can return anytime.”

Decades?

Westin widened his eyes; within decades, you’ve become a Great Land Immortal?

”Where are we now?”

Carson replied, ”We’re in Southern Wilderness of the Ten Thousand Immortals Domain. If you’re feeling up to it, I can slowly tell you everything, starting from my childhood in the Mortal Realm.”

Westin nodded confidently: ”I’m fine, never felt better!”

Carson smiled, ”Alright then, I’ll make us tea, and I’ll tell you everything while we sip. It’s probably going to be a long story.”

Westin gazed at Carson with eyes full of remorse.

His son is indeed formidable now, having reached a level beyond his comprehension, but what Westin saw and thought of was Carson’s struggle as he grew up in the Mortal Realm.

He fathered him but didn’t fulfill his paternal responsibilities!

His life had neither father nor mother!

It’s all his fault!

Carson understood what was on Westin’s mind from his eyes and smiled, ”Dad, it’s okay. It’s all in the past. Our family can finally be reunited.”

Carson guided Westin away from their residence to the lakeside, set up tables and chairs, and began boiling water for tea.

The tea was ready, with white steam swirling and fragrance all around, as Carson began to narrate his life story.

Westin carefully listened, holding his teacup.

The two sat by the lake, one speaking, one listening, in complete harmony.

In the Tower World, there is no day or night, and the story-telling went on for an unspecified amount of time.

Westin finally finished listening to all the stories, digesting them for a long time, and thoroughly comprehended everything.

”So, you’ve now crossed both the Myriad Immortals Palace and the Barbarian King Palace...”

Carson nonchalantly replied: ”Yes, but it doesn’t matter. Once I handle the matters at hand, I’ll head to the Crimson Immortal Domain. There, White Jade Star Lord and Norric Shepherd are backing me, so it shouldn’t be a problem.”

Pausing, Carson chuckled, ”There’s no rush to go to the Crimson Immortal Domain. Now that you’re awake, I should first take you back to the Barbaric Wilderness Realm to reunite with Mom...”

Westin asked, ”How long does it take to return to the Thunder Immortal Realm from Ten Thousand Immortals Domain?”

Carson answered, ”It took us five years to travel from the God Immortal Domain to the Ten Thousand Immortals Domain. It should take about the same time to return to the Thunder Immortal Realm.”

”Five years, ten years for a round trip...”

Westin shook his head, ”That’s too time-consuming.”

Carson smiled, ”Immortals have long lives; journeys taking ten, even dozens of years are common. Ten years isn’t long, plus we’ll be traveling together, so we won’t be lonely.”

Westin considered, indeed, cultivation is important, but what’s more important than family reunions?

Westin’s Divine Spirit had returned, but it didn’t fully align with the body of a Supreme Immortal. Having a Supreme Immortal’s body doesn’t make him one; he needs substantial time to merge and balance it, eventually reaching equilibrium.

This is critical, but Westin doesn’t mind. He just wants to return to the Barbaric Wilderness Realm, to be with his wife.

Hearing his son’s past, he can fully imagine how desperate and sorrowful his wife must have been during his disappearance!

”Where do you plan to go now?”

Carson smiled, ”Coming to the Southern Wilderness was to find Samir Coffey and complete the Soul Separation. Now that it’s done, there’s no point in staying. I’ve toyed with Wyrella Holt, and she’s probably furious now. The Barbarian King Palace will definitely communicate with the Myriad Immortals Palace and surely discover my false identity, likely issuing a bounty on me, so it’s just the right time to leave.”

”We’ll return to our home on the North Sea Fairy Leisure Island, meet with Mary Jimenez and the others, plan the future journey, then return home. After the reunion, we probably won’t come back to the Ten Thousand Immortals Domain, since I’ve offended quite a few people here and any slight mistake could bring trouble.”

”Dad, don’t worry. Just stay inside the Ethereal Pagoda during this time, rest well, and fuse your Divine Spirit, adapting to your body sooner.”

Looking at Carson’s mature and confident face, Westin felt a mix of guilt and pride.

”Alright, I’m following your lead.”

Westin, a bit worried, asked, ”With both the Myriad Immortals Palace and Barbarian King Palace looking for you, how will you evade their pursuit?”

Carson laughed, ”It’s simple. We just hide in the Ethereal Pagoda, hire someone casually to bring the Ethereal Pagoda through the Domain Gate; the Ethereal Pagoda can isolate all detection, so no one can find us.”

”Our roots aren’t here, so even if they intend to investigate, they won’t find our family and can’t use techniques like the Bloodline Traction Technique to track us. Hence, even though the Myriad Immortals Palace and Barbarian King Palace are formidable, they can’t do anything if I intend to hide.”

”Besides, even if some mystical methods are applicable, their cost is undoubtedly high. To them, I’m a nobody, hardly worth fighting over, isn’t it just pointless and embarrassing?”

Westin sighed with relief and smiled, ”That’s good. What about Samir Coffey? He’s using the body of the Battle Hall Master in the Myriad Immortals Palace; he probably can’t stay in the Ten Thousand Immortals Domain either, right?”

Carson smiled, ”He’s quite clever; I’m sure he has his own plan. We don’t need to worry about him!”
