The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Carson Flores did not know that he, a Lower Grade Land Immortal, was actually being discussed in detail by the entire Barbarian Tribe leadership.

He was participating in a tactical meeting hastily convened by Balther Weiss.

”We have roughly ascertained that the Barbarian Tribe has around 140 people, while we have 106. We have a slight numerical advantage, but in previous battles, although we defeated more opponents, those opponents were relatively weak. The true strong ones are still present, so our advantage is not obvious.”

”A frontal confrontation with uncertain outcome; to win, we must use some other tricks. Does anyone have any good ideas or plans? Let’s discuss them.”

Everyone looked at each other, uncertain.

Someone spoke, ”Previously, we lured Balete deep inside and defeated him. If we try again, will they fall for it?”

Balther Weiss shook his head, ”It’s difficult. Not to mention that the opponent has already suffered a big loss and will be more cautious. Bodessa is currently in charge for the Barbarian Tribe; she’s a renowned strategist among them. She must already know the previous battle situation and won’t fall for it again.”

Everyone agreed, having suffered once, would they suffer again continuously?

Carson Flores explained, ”The Eight Desolation Fire Spirit Formation is effective against isolated or small numbers of opponents, but on such a vast battlefield, its effectiveness is greatly reduced. Even if it traps multiple adversaries, it would likely be broken through in an instant.”

The crowd nodded, acknowledging Carson’s statement.

A net can catch fish, but can it capture a large group of fierce sharks?

Even if you trap them, the net would likely be torn apart in an instant.

Someone proposed, ”How about using Exploding Talismans to disrupt their formation and attack them?”

Without waiting for Balther Weiss’s response, someone immediately dismissed the plan.

”The opponent will surely be on guard. Can you throw something over unnoticed?”

”The battle is sure to be fought in the air. Even if you buried countless Exploding Talismans on the ground, it would have limited impact on the aerial combat. They would have enough distance to effectively defend.”

”There won’t be Exploding Talismans of such power. If there really were, then why fight? Just send someone in to detonate it and end the battle!”

After everyone spoke for a while, Balther Weiss waved his hand to stop them and calmly said, ”Exploding Talismans have high power, but are difficult to deploy, and the enemy will surely be prepared...”

Everyone couldn’t help but feel somewhat discouraged.

”This won’t work, and neither will that. Apart from direct combat, it seems there’s no other way.”

”With so many people, are there really strategies that easy to execute?”

”Just fight directly, one battle to decide victory.”

Eolan Lorcan, who had been sitting silently, hesitated for a moment, then spoke, ”I have a method, but it’s difficult to implement and requires sacrifices...”

All eyes turned to Eolan Lorcan, and Balther Weiss’s eyes lit up, encouraging him, ”Whether it works or not, let’s hear it.”

Eolan Lorcan looked around and said solemnly, ”You all know I practice the Sand Dragon Illusion God Technique, capable of pulling opponents into a terrifying Illusionary Realm. In the previous battle, I managed to trap several strong adversaries with the Sand Dragon Illusion God Technique; of course, it required everyone’s help. I couldn’t have done it alone.”

”In my idle moments, I’ve crafted some small devices, consumable magical treasures similar to explosives. When they explode, they don’t create a strong impact but can pull people into a terrifying Domain.”

Balther Weiss’s eyes lit up; he roughly understood what Eolan Lorcan meant but still listened patiently.

Eolan Lorcan paused, looking to his left and right, ”If at the moment the battle begins, someone can take this magical treasure into their formation and directly detonate it, with the Domain covering them, we could ensnare the opponents into an Illusionary Realm, even if just for a brief time. I believe it would greatly benefit us.”

Balther Weiss interjected, ”Once the opponents fall into the Illusionary Realm, we launch a full assault and can crush them head-on. By the time they regain their senses, the situation will be decided, and no matter how formidable they are, they won’t be able to turn the tide!”

Eolan Lorcan nodded, ”That’s the idea. However, the Domain produced by my crafted devices isn’t vast, and their formation will be spread out. To be effective, we’d need many magical treasures detonated at once.”

”If we deploy them directly, they’re bound to be intercepted. To succeed unexpectedly, we must rely on someone who can traverse space, instantly appear within their ranks, and detonate the device immediately for it to work.”

”Aside from that issue, the person who penetrates their ranks will inevitably be affected by their own device. This means it’s a suicide attack, as being at the enemy center, they’d certainly be targeted and killed quickly...”
