The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

”I’ll accompany you!”

The voice was crisp, efficient, and carried a hint of laughter.

Carson Flores raised his head in surprise, meeting the captivating eyes of Cassiane Sinclair: ”You’ll accompany me?”

Cassiane blinked: ”Yes.”

Carson laughed: ”Before, due to the fluctuations of the Primordial Profound Water Technique, it wasn’t safe for you to go anywhere, so I kept you in the pagoda. Now that you’re free and your power has increased, you don’t have to travel with me anymore. The world is vast; you can go anywhere you want and do anything you wish...”

Cassiane interrupted Carson with a smile: ”But I want to go to the West Prison with you.”

Carson was rendered silent for a few seconds by Cassiane’s words, then he spoke: ”What if I go to the Eastern Radiance instead?”

Cassiane showed her white teeth, her smile like a spring breeze brushing against the face, or like a girl’s hair gently sweeping across one’s cheek: ”Then let’s go to the Eastern Radiance.”

Carson looked into Cassiane’s eyes and smiled: ”Why?”

Cassiane answered brightly: ”I have no particular place I want to go. Being with you makes me happy and it’s interesting. Besides, I’m now a Superior Grade Great Land Supreme Immortal, probably stronger than you, right? You handle matters, and I can help you with battles.”

Happy and interesting?

Carson looked into Cassiane’s eyes, which seemed to speak, and felt his heart uncontrollably speed up. He decided to be direct.

”Could it be that you’ve taken a liking to me?”

Carson expected Cassiane would deny it and say something about friends helping each other, but instead, Cassiane playfully smiled and raised her right hand, her thumb and index finger slightly apart.

”Indeed, just a little bit.”

Carson suddenly found himself at a loss for words and coughed awkwardly twice: ”Don’t joke around. Men can’t take teasing...”

Cassiane smiled slightly, neither emphasizing nor explaining, and changed the topic: ”Rest assured, being with you, I’ll listen, and won’t cause you any trouble.”

”I truly have nowhere to go. At most, find a place to live in solitude; if it were before, I might have accepted it, but after living with you all for so many years, I’ve gotten used to this lively life. Now, if I were to go to a secluded cave mansion to cultivate alone, I wouldn’t feel accustomed.”

”You’ve helped me so much, and now you’re heading to the dangerous West Prison. Accompanying you, I can at least contribute.”

Cassiane’s eyes were bright, her gaze sincere, and it was clear she spoke truthfully.

Carson didn’t hesitate anymore and laughed: ”Alright, with your prowess, traveling together will be much safer.”

Cassiane nodded with a smile: ”When do we set off?”

”No rush!”

Carson laughed: ”I still need some time to cultivate the Primordial Profound Water Technique and craft the Five Elements Crystal. I’ve got plenty of Heavenly Secret Profound Divine Water; you’ve already advanced, so you can continue cultivating with me.”

Cassiane chuckled: ”Just provide me with some Heavenly Secret Profound Divine Water, and I’ll comprehend its rules. The rest, you cultivate yourself. Your enemies are formidable; you need to enhance quickly.”

Carson asked curiously: ”What does comprehending rules mean?”

Cassiane smiled: ”Aren’t you cultivating the Sun True Scripture, capable of controlling the True Solar Fire? What’s the difference between that and ordinary flames?”

With this question, Carson instantly understood: ”Ordinary water and Heavenly Secret Profound Divine Water have entirely different effects when attacking enemies. You want to increase the power of your controlled water?”

”Yes.”

Cassiane replied: ”For example, Five Elements Essence and Heavenly Secret Profound Divine Water are products close to the path’s origin. By comprehending how they form, I comprehend the Water Path. The deeper my comprehension, the more my moves will contain the path’s rules, naturally increasing their power.”

Carson nodded in realization: ”Replacing ordinary fire with True Solar Fire is of the same nature, right?”

”Exactly.”

Cassiane explained with a smile: ”You discover a fire closer to the origin, and when you comprehend it thoroughly, you might replace the fire seed to enhance its power. When your comprehension is sufficient, you’ll fully master the Fire Path and achieve any desired effect.”

”Understood.”

Carson laughed: ”Let’s begin!”

The two of them re-entered the Ethereal Pagoda to start their respective cultivation.

Carson cultivated the Primordial Profound Water Technique, absorbing the pure Spiritual Energy from the vast Heavenly Secret Profound Divine Water to begin constructing the Water Crystal in his Sea of Consciousness.

Cassiane submerged her hands in the Heavenly Secret Profound Divine Water, with mysterious lights emerging from her hands, and she entered an extraordinary state of comprehension.

The Primordial Profound Water Technique is hard and obscure, difficult to comprehend, yet Carson possessed the like-external-tool Dragon Mountain Cloud Dream Art, repeatedly analyzing and comprehending it, gradually clearing his mind.

The Heavenly Secret Profound Divine Water contained immeasurably pure Spiritual Energy, which, upon absorption, instantly transformed into pure Spiritual Power and swiftly flowed into Carson’s Sea of Consciousness.

Carson’s strength increased rapidly, yet Carson found the Spiritual Power required for a Superior Grade Supreme Immortal to advance was immensely vast.

If the Sea of Consciousness of a Profound Immortal is a pond, then that of a Supreme Immortal is a lake, multiplied many times over. Filling this lake with Spiritual Power to reach the advancement required too much Spiritual Power.

But what could be done?

Improvement comes gradually.

Innumerable Heavenly Secret Profound Divine Water transformed into Spiritual Power and surged into the Sea of Consciousness. It was unknown how long the cultivation lasted when Carson’s Sea of Consciousness quietly became adorned with a glistening ice sheet.

The ice sheet absorbed the true essence of water from the Heavenly Secret Profound Divine Water frantically, drawing more and more Spiritual Power, then transforming into sheets of ice.

When the entire Sea of Consciousness was filled with densely packed ice sheets, all the ice sheets flew into the air, colliding and accumulating.

One sheet layered upon another, one level upon another...

Like an Ice Storm, all the ice sheets disappeared, leaving a massive ice crystal in the Sea of Consciousness.

The ice crystal began to rotate slowly, accelerating gradually. With this rotation, countless ice sheets turned into dust, returning to the Sea of Consciousness once more.

The ice crystal’s volume shrank, but its coldness intensified.

It was unknown how long it took for the ice crystal to finally calm down, revealing its true form.

It appeared like a piece of ice, yet seemed formed by innumerable layers of dazzling ice; it shone brightly, giving the impression of being alive.

Water Path Crystal, complete!

Carson ”looked” at the Water Path Crystal in his Sea of Consciousness hiding far away from the Fire Path Crystal, as if to say each played on its own, not interfering, and couldn’t help but burst into laughter.

Indeed, water and fire cannot coexist!
