The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 2330: Chapter 2330: If You Want to Help, See It Through to the End!

Aerithe Moonshadow looked at Carson Flores with a complex expression in her eyes as his gaze fell on her.

She pursed her lips and crouched down: ”We’re almost across the Endless Sea, and it’s not far to the North Sea. I can go alone.”

Oberon Foster’s face was somber: ”You’re not strong enough, and being so beautiful, it’s very unsafe for you to travel alone...”

Oberon Foster once again looked at Carson Flores, pleading, ”Fellow Flores...”

Carson Flores nodded calmly, ”Alright, I promise you.”

Oberon Foster’s tensed body relaxed, and the light in his eyes began to fade.

Suddenly, he bent forward abruptly and grabbed Carson Flores’s arm, his voice tense and urgent: ”Fellow Flores, swear! Swear that you’ll help escort her to the Illusory Moon Sect...”

Aerithe Moonshadow’s expression turned extremely awkward in an instant. After all, she was asking for help without offering any payment, and now she was going too far by asking him to swear. Wasn’t this a clear sign of mistrust?

Was he afraid Carson Flores would fall for her and betray her trust?

”Fellow Flores, he...”

Aerithe Moonshadow didn’t finish explaining before Carson Flores raised his hand to stop her, calmly staring at Oberon Foster.

”I swear, I will do my utmost to escort Miss Moonshadow safely and unharmed to the Illusory Moon Sect. Throughout this process, I won’t harm Miss Moonshadow.”

Oberon Foster’s hand, which was gripping Carson Flores’s arm, relaxed as he looked into Carson’s calm eyes, the sharpness in his eyes turning into guilt.

”I’m sorry, Fellow Flores, I’m sorry, I...”

Carson Flores interrupted Oberon Foster again, ”No need, I understand. While there’s still a bit of time, if you have anything to tell Miss Moonshadow, go ahead.”

Carson Flores stood up, summoned the Ethereal Pagoda, and smiled at Profound River and the others, ”You guys should continue hiding and healing.”

The Golden Light flickered, and after bringing Profound River and the others into the pagoda, Carson Flores moved aside, kindly casting a Sound Insulation Technique to indicate he wouldn’t eavesdrop on their conversation.

Aerithe Moonshadow glanced gratefully at Carson Flores, crouched beside Oberon Foster, supported him, and listened to his final instructions.

After a while, Aerithe Moonshadow stood up, collected Oberon Foster’s body into her Space Ring, wiped away her tears, and approached Carson Flores.

Carson Flores turned his head, ”All settled?”

Aerithe Moonshadow nodded and bowed to Carson Flores, ”Fellow Flores, I’m sorry, this matter originally had nothing to do with you. We even rejected your help before, which led us to where we are now, yet here we are asking for your help again. It’s really too much.”

Carson Flores shook his head and didn’t comment on the matter, only saying, ”Collect your thoughts and get ready to hit the road.”

Oberon Foster and Aerithe Moonshadow were steeped in tragedy, reminiscent of a certain era where emperors and ministers sent princesses and beloved daughters to other countries as offerings to foreign dignitaries or soldiers to buy temporary peace.

Did Oberon Foster want to send Aerithe Moonshadow to the Illusory Moon Sect?

He didn’t want to.

Did Aerithe Moonshadow want to go to the Illusory Moon Sect?

Of course, she didn’t want to!

However, for the sake of the Wind Snow Sect, her grandfather could only agree to the unreasonable demands of the Illusory Moon Sect, sending his beloved granddaughter as an apology. Aerithe Moonshadow knew full well the humiliation she would endure, but for her family and her sect, she had no choice but to grit her teeth and walk toward her doom.

This was helplessness, a bloody reality!

Carson Flores thought of that humiliating era and, seeing Aerithe Moonshadow before him, had his resolve soften, which is why he agreed straightforwardly to Oberon Foster’s request, even tolerating his rudeness and making an oath.

Carson Flores didn’t choose not to help the Wind Snow Sect, but he lacked the means to do so.

Right now, the best he could do was escort Aerithe Moonshadow to the Illusory Moon Sect, bringing closure to the Wind Snow Sect’s killing of an Illusory Moon Sect Inner Sect Disciple. Whatever happened thereafter wouldn’t concern the Wind Snow Sect.

If help was to be given, it should be thorough.

For now, let’s take it one step at a time.

”Alright, I’ll bring you into the pagoda, and you will stay with them. By the way, do you know who they are?”

Aerithe Moonshadow shook her head in confusion. She had been trapped on the sixth floor all along, so how would she have had the opportunity to know Profound River and the others?

”The monk is a Dharma Disciple, and the other two, a Taoist, one is a Fiction Disciple, and one is a Dragon Mountain Sect representative. Although not confirmed as the Saint Heir, his status in the Dragon Mountain Sect is pretty much on par with the other two.”

After saying this, Carson Flores didn’t concern himself with Aerithe Moonshadow’s expression. The Ethereal Pagoda shed Golden Light and brought Aerithe Moonshadow into the pagoda.

He didn’t let Aerithe Moonshadow appear next to Selah Ellison, instead placing her in a specially isolated Abyss, next to Profound River and the others.

Carson Flores didn’t intend to immediately ask these three for any favors, but if they volunteered to do something, then it was none of his business.

After all, they were Three Sects Disciples, and they ought to have some compassion, right?

Giving them a bit of time to let them understand the truth themselves.

He had already pointed out who they were, so Aerithe Moonshadow would definitely try, wouldn’t she?

Who would willingly fall into an Abyss, never to reincarnate?
