Chapter 2307: Chapter 2307: War of the Sects

”The propagation of the sect.”

Master Youhe’s voice resonated in Carson Flores’s mind: ”To expand, a sect needs to spread and develop followers. Although Eastern Radiance is vast, it contains numerous sects like Dharma, Fiction, and Dragon Mountain Sect. Over all this time, the competition has been fierce. There’s not much room left for new developments.”

”If there’s no room internally, then we’ll look externally, to the Southern Wilderness, West Prison, and North Sea. Although the North Sea is a maritime region with countless islands, the majority of inhabitants are Sea Tribe, there are also many from the Human Race. It’s a better fit for our sect’s expansion compared to the Nether Tribe of West Prison and the Barbarian Tribe of the Southern Wilderness.”

”The Sea Tribe in North Sea predominantly follow the Sea God Sect, but the Human Race has no allegiance. Thus, all major sects in Eastern Radiance have set their sights on the unclaimed areas of the North Sea to extend their sects. However, the Sea God Sect does not allow sects from Eastern Radiance to enter, and prior conflicts have arisen because of this.”

”The purpose of this visit is to resolve conflicts and decide on future directions. A battle is inevitable. If we win, everything will fall into place, and the Three Sects will gain access to the North Sea without interference from the Sea God Sect. If we lose, we will abandon the North Sea.”

Carson Flores blinked: ”Is this considered confidential?”

Master Youhe chuckled lightly: ”Most people wouldn’t understand, but the higher-ups are generally aware, so it’s fine to tell you. After all, you’re not an outsider.”

Carson Flores was startled: ”Then this battle seems significant, it can’t be simple, right?”

”Not too bad.”

Master Youhe chuckled softly: ”Neither side wants large-scale bloodshed, so this contest is only considered a fight involving our sect’s younger generation disciples, essentially the second-generation disciples from each major sect.”

Carson Flores stared at Master Youhe: ”Are you going to fight, Fellow?”

Master Youhe shook his head: ”There’s no way I’d be chosen. I’m just a seat warmer and an observer.”

Curious, Carson Flores asked: ”Then who will be fighting?”

Master Youhe responded: ”Wuling Mountain, Profound River.”

Carson Flores casually asked: ”Wuling Mountain, one of the Dragon Mountain Sect’s three sons?”

Master Youhe nodded: ”Yes, Dragon Cloud Mountain, Wuling Mountain, and Phoenix Snow Mountain are the three most important branches of the Dragon Mountain Sect. Though each entity is independent, they share the same origin and are thus considered a family.”

”Profound River has an Innate Taoist Body with exceptional talent. Though he entered late, his talent is the greatest, most importantly, he has abnormal phenomena to assist him, significantly boosting his combat power...”

Innate Taoist Body!

Well, for a mighty sect like Dragon Mountain Sect, acquiring a few talented disciples is quite normal, right?

A mutual selection between the mighty sects and talented disciples.

Carson Flores nodded: ”Does each sect send one representative?”

”Yes.”

Master Youhe softly replied: ”Dragon Mountain Sect is represented by Profound River. My other senior brothers and I are Dragon Cloud Mountain representatives, not participating in the fight, just acting as witnesses. Regardless of the outcome, there are follow-up matters, so each sect must have someone present to confirm, rather than being represented by someone else.”

”The Dharma sect is represented by Wyland. He is this generation’s chosen one, possessing the Anatta Vajra Body, a natural Buddhism prodigy. There’s also a rumor that he’s a reincarnation of an eminent Buddhist practitioner, but the Dharma sect protects him extremely well, so this information is unconfirmed.”

”Fiction is represented by Profound Clarity. He has the Void-Clear Spirit Body, following the Enlightenment Path. Usually, he doesn’t cultivate arduously, only attaining enlightenment. Through one single enlightenment, he advanced from Golden Immortal to Great Land. His current strength remains unknown.”

Listening to Master Youhe’s introduction, Carson Flores praised: ”They’re all geniuses among geniuses!”

Master Youhe smiled: ”Indeed, anyone able to represent a sect in battle is certainly no ordinary figure.”

Curious, Carson Flores asked: ”Your sect sends one person, how many does the Sea God Sect send? One or three? Doesn’t this count as the Three Sects teaming up against one Sea God Sect?”

”It counts. How can it not?”

Master Youhe heartily replied: ”The Sea God Sect will select three people for battle. For this reason, I think our chances of victory are quite high. After all, in three battles, we only need to win two.”

”Best of three, winning two?”

Carson Flores laughed: ”That’s true, after all, how many top talents can there be?”

Master Youhe laughed: ”Right, everyone is confident of victory, and the goal is not to lose. After all, even if you eventually win, if you lose you won’t get much. Since your entry is reliant on others, what right do you have to claim more? It’s already a good thing they let you in.”

Carson Flores nodded in understanding. Though a best of three, the Three Sects are not like the three sons of Dragon Mountain Sect, they are competitors. What more can you expect under such circumstances?

Carson Flores became interested in the competition: ”Where is this visit taking place, can outsiders watch?”

Master Youhe smiled: ”A competition open to the world, of course, can be watched. The visit’s location is Sea God Island, which is the headquarters of the Sea God Sect. The date is set for May 15, the scheduled visit time. We will adjust our journey to arrive at the precise time...”
