The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 1729: Chapter 1729: Fragrant Trap

“Really going to sleep?”

Daniel Patel, who had been silent and watching from the sidelines, finally couldn’t help but speak, his eyes slightly deep.

Carson Flores looked at Daniel Patel’s expression, and he could guess his general thoughts, so he couldn’t help but smile bitterly inside.

Daniel Patel clearly saw him as the Celestial Palace’s son-in-law, so he didn’t want to see him and Jane Vasquez really end up in bed together.

He’s Alfred Weaver’s elder, and as an elder, how could he hope for a grandson-in-law he approves of to share a bed with another woman?

Even knowing it’s an act, he still resists the idea.

“It’s not going to happen.”

Carson decided that once he returned, he’d tell Alfred Weaver about this matter, or perhaps let Alfred go public about his marriage?

Wouldn’t it be awkward if he spoke up himself?

Carson explained, “Don’t be fooled by her gentle kindness towards me; she’s treating me as a big fish to catch. There’s no way she’d let me have my way with her so easily. This woman is shrewd, and she might wait until I’m controlled by the Wild Blood Gu and thoroughly join the Heavenly Alliance before truly sleeping with me.”

“She may not care about sleeping with me, but if she wants to conquer me, she has to maintain her pure and untarnished image, not rush into bed after a few days of acquaintance—that would lower her standards.”

Daniel Patel’s expression eased a bit: “Does she really want to play hard?”

Carson nodded, sneering, “The illegitimate son of a major figure in the Treasure Path Sect, this identity is no lower than Arthur Frost. How could she not want to become a Daoist couple with me? Firstly, to legitimize this relationship, and secondly, to rise to power and limitless future prospects, killing two birds with one stone!”

“I’ve inquired; Jane Vasquez is the Saintess of the Peach Blossom Sect, a female-only sect. The sect’s power is average and has been wholly absorbed by the Heavenly Alliance. These outstanding female disciples showcase their skills, bridging together many other sects.”

“However formidable, they are ultimately just tools. Who wishes to remain a mere tool in others’ hands forever? She just wants to become the next Mu Yan’er.”

Daniel Patel laughed and said, “That’s good; I know you have a strong will, but you are still young…”

This was a fear that he would lose control and waver his Dao heart!

Elder, your worry is unnecessary; the women around me—none of them are lesser than her.

Her seductive aura, the scent of tea, I’ve seen enough of it in the world.

“I’ve pretty much figured things out, and I’m preparing to take action on the next scripture transmission gathering day.”

Daniel Patel asked, “How will you take action?”

Carson laughed, “I’m preparing some medicine and will take advantage during the gathering to make everyone slightly intoxicated, reducing the combat power of hundreds of people. With their Sea of Consciousness Spiritual Energy circulation hindered, together, we kill our way out. It will be much simpler this way, or else if dispersed everywhere, once fighting begins, we wouldn’t easily capture them. Plus, if they gather, their combat power is definitely not low.”

Daniel Patel asked worriedly, “Will it be discovered?”

Carson laughed, “Not a major issue. After all, this is their branch location; they won’t have much guard against us. The medicine I chose is similar to ordinary floral scent. Unless someone is exceptionally well-versed in pharmaceuticals or Alchemy Dao, they can’t distinguish it. On-site, there are many female disciples with a bit of fragrance on them—isn’t it normal?”

Daniel Patel’s eyes lit up, “You’re planning to use Jane Vasquez?”

Carson laughed, “Yes, give her a bottle of perfume, have her move through the crowd, let everyone have a preliminary impression of the scent, then release the real medicine. People will subconsciously think it’s the scent from the women and won’t pay attention. Some might even subconsciously take a few more sniffs!”

Daniel Patel laughed, “Good, let’s do as you say!”

A month flew by, during which Carson both studied the Reincarnation Sutra and flirted with Jane Vasquez, like a passionate couple in love.

They cuddled, kissed, touched—everything but crossing the final line happened.

Carson showed eagerness, but Jane Vasquez kept him on the hook, saying they must wait until Carson truly joins to be together.

Carson feigned hesitation, dragging things along, smoothly postponing for a month.

“Sister Snow, this is for you.”

Carson handed a glass bottle of perfume to Jane Vasquez. Confused, she asked, “What is this?”

“Perfume, spray it on your clothes, your body, and it will give off a special fragrance. Would you like to try it?”

Carson sprayed perfume on Jane Vasquez, deliberately using a heavier dosage, and immediately the scent became quite strong.

“This scent really matches Sister Snow—passionate and fragrant!”

Originally, Jane Vasquez felt the fragrance was a bit strong, but after hearing Carson’s words, she laughed, “Thank you, I also really like this scent.”

Carson embraced Jane Vasquez, his hands starting to misbehave, and after letting him have a little fun, she placed her hand over his to stop him.

“Behave! Today is scripture day, and it’s almost time, let’s go to the main hall.”

Carson, with a disappointed look, said, “I don’t want to listen to the scripture; I just want to be with you.”

Jane Vasquez smiled sweetly, “We have to cultivate well if we want to be together forever, be a good boy, listen, let’s go to the main hall!”
