The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 1720: Chapter 1720: I’m a Peak Earth Immortal—Should I Be Afraid?

Wes Matthews’s face was very dark!

Under the watchful eyes of a group of Celestial Palace guards, he captured the Sect’s disciples who joined the Heavenly Alliance according to the list.

Most who joined the Heavenly Alliance were the confidants of Xander Frost and others, as well as core members of the Sect. Now, they were all checked out one by one.

Although there was some turmoil in the middle, with strong Heavenly Immortals like Daniel Patel present, who could cause chaos?

More than fifty high-ranking members of the Demon Fiend Hall were identified, and then executed directly in front of everyone.

They were the first blood shed in this war between the Celestial Palace and the Heavenly Alliance, but they certainly would not be the last!

Their deaths marked just the beginning of this war!

Carson Flores felt no remorse for the death of these more than fifty individuals.

Everyone must pay for their choices. If today the roles were reversed and the Heavenly Alliance attacked the forces of the Celestial Palace, the result would be the same.

The sword would not linger even a second longer when it falls on the head.

The Celestial Palace had given them a chance; after issuing the Immortal Palace Wanted Order, they could choose to leave the Heavenly Alliance, and the Celestial Palace would let bygones be bygones. Since they insisted on a path of no return, it was only natural not to blame the Celestial Palace for its harshness!

The establishment and maintenance of order have never ceased bleeding!

After many disciples who joined the Heavenly Alliance were executed, all Demon Fiend Hall disciples looked at Wes Matthews differently.

Even if these people joined the Demon Fiend Hall and opposed the Celestial Palace, it was wrong. However, as the Vice Hall Master, you directly informed on them, ultimately leading to the execution of so many high-ranking members, including the Hall Master, so it seems quite like an act of betrayal!

Wes Matthews had no choice!

Of course, he hoped for the Celestial Palace’s people to come quietly and take action openly, then he could plead on their behalf and eventually “reluctantly” save the remaining disciples and be hailed as the Hall Master by them. Unfortunately, Carson Flores wouldn’t let him have his way.

Even though Carson Flores couldn’t be sure of his true intentions, he could see that this guy was very selfish. Everything was calculated from a utilitarian perspective. With that being the case, how could Carson let him have his way?

Aren’t you steadfastly supporting the Celestial Palace?

Then, I’ll help you spread the word and let all the sect’s disciples know about your glorious deeds!

Wanting the Celestial Palace to act as a knife requires paying a price somewhere!

From now on, you can follow the Celestial Palace with peace of mind.

With your precedent of betraying Heavenly Alliance members, the path to joining the Heavenly Alliance is surely cut off.

After handling the internal issues within the Heavenly Alliance, the news quickly returned to the Celestial Palace.

A few days later, reinforcements from the Celestial Palace arrived.

Apart from Vance Holt, who stayed behind to guard the Celestial Palace, all the other strong cultivators summoned this time came over.

A Heavenly Immortal, along with a team of Golden Immortals, was left to stay at the Demon Fiend Hall, continue to seal the Sect, and prevent any leaks, while everyone else headed to Misty Glow City.

The Immortal Monarch of the Four Seas’ Cave Mansion was at the Cliff of Sky Severance, while the White Cloth Blood Envoy’s division was in a massive sinkhole a thousand miles north of Misty Glow City. Carson Flores decided to forgo the Immortal Monarch’s Cave Mansion and launch a surprise attack on the Heavenly Alliance’s division!

The Immortal Monarch of the Four Seas was powerful. Even with an encirclement, success was not guaranteed, and the opponent would most likely break through and escape. But besieging the division without the Immortal Monarch’s presence would be much easier.

Destroy their minions, kill one as a warning to others, and announce it to the world!

Everyone quickly arrived at Misty Glow City, sent someone into the city, made a few inquiries, and confirmed the location Xander Frost mentioned.

“It’s reportedly a bottomless huge pit, with the terrifying roars of beasts inside. Some cultivators have gone to investigate but there’s never been anyone returning, so over time it became a death pit where no one dared to enter.”

Carson Flores smiled and said, “The Heavenly Alliance division must have a Heavenly Immortal guarding it. For ordinary cultivators entering, wouldn’t that be walking into a trap?”

After taking some rest, the group set off again and soon reached the massive pit a thousand miles to the north, which instilled fear in the nearby cultivators.

Calling it a pit is not quite accurate; it should be called a cave instead!

The cave had a diameter exceeding a kilometer, and below it was pitch-black, entirely impossible to see the bottom, nor where it led.

Carson Flores and Daniel Patel flew all the way, hovering over the vast cave, scrutinizing the depths below.

“Someone is using magic to observe us…”

These words from Daniel Patel echoed in Carson Flores’s mind, and he wasn’t surprised. This was the entrance to the Southern division of the Heavenly Alliance. To stand here without being noticed would be even stranger.

Carson Flores pretentiously flew a few steps and said, “Shall we go down and take a look?”

Daniel Patel frowned and said, “Young master, isn’t it said that there might be powerful demonic beasts below, where many adventurers never return? Let’s not go.”

Carson Flores laughed and said, “This place is only a thousand miles from Misty Glow City, if there were really ferocious demonic beasts, wouldn’t people in Misty Glow City have seen them? I reckon it’s just some weaker cultivators who died inside, and others exaggerated the stories!”

Daniel Patel urged again, “A wise man does not stand under a dangerous wall; why take the risk, young master?”

Carson Flores arrogantly said, “I can’t stand those people who act all mysterious, as if they’ve been inside, saying whoever goes in dies. I am at the Peak of Earth Immortal level, possessing treasures, how formidable can demonic beasts be? If there’s one, I’ll kill one; if there are two, I’ll kill both!”

“Let’s go down and take a look!”
