The Female CEO's Personal Bodyguard

Chapter 1712: Chapter 1712: That Was a Brilliant Move!

Wes Matthews’s face was pale, and he said with a bitter smile, ”At this point, saying anything more is useless. Let’s evacuate quickly, or it will be too late.”

Fisher James coldly said, ”Tens of thousands of disciples, how do we evacuate, and where to?”

Wes Matthews gritted his teeth and said, ”I have drafted a list and given it to the Celestial Palace. As long as the people on the list evacuate quickly, just claim that you discovered my betrayal and escaped urgently. The people of the Celestial Palace likely won’t blame the other disciples since the vast majority are completely unaware.”

Vice Hall Master Tripp Nixon coldly said, ”If we all leave, then the Demon Fiend Hall will become yours alone, Wes Matthews. You’re playing quite the clever game with this move!”

Xander Frost stared at Wes Matthews, his eyes filled with doubt.

Could this guy really be playing a bitter ploy with me?

This guy has always been very keen on power and has been quite discontent being suppressed by us. Could he be purposefully pulling a Yin Yang trick, overtly and covertly, to force us to leave, making it easier for him to monopolize the Demon Fiend Hall?

The relations between this guy and us have never been great. Could he be acting right now?

Packaging himself as someone enduring humiliation for the betterment of the Demon Fiend Hall, sacrificing family for justice, while glorifying himself?

Wes Matthews said anxiously, ”If that were the case, why would I reveal anything? I could simply wait for the people from the Celestial Palace to arrive and wipe you all out, couldn’t I?”

Fisher James coldly said, ”If that were so, even if you succeeded in the end, you wouldn’t escape the label of a traitor. Now you’ve exposed yourself, forcing us to leave, gaining both reputation and the outcome, benefitting in multiple ways at once!”

Wes Matthews turned to look at the silent Xander Frost: ”Hall Master, do you also think of me this way?”

Xander Frost sighed: ”No matter what you think, this situation is settled. Prepare to evacuate!”

Fisher James was very dissatisfied: ”We’re to give up our promising status and become gutter rats, hiding and running?”

Xander Frost comforted, ”I have been in contact with the White Cloth Blood Envoy. Originally, the Heavenly Alliance believed the Celestial Palace Master to be weak, unlikely to start a large-scale conflict, focusing instead on leveraging power. After all, even when Alfred Weaver was intercepted and killed, she didn’t make any immediate statement.”

”Who would have expected that after lying low for a period, she suddenly issued an all-encompassing Immortal Palace Wanted Order, catching the Heavenly Alliance off guard? However, the Heavenly Alliance has always been on guard, and though there were losses, they weren’t significant.”

”The White Cloth Blood Envoy has said that the situation has changed, and the Alliance Hierarch has already requested the Sect to dispatch more strong forces. Once they arrive, the Heavenly Alliance will stand openly against the Celestial Palace.”

”Though the Celestial Palace is deeply rooted and influential, the background of major forces in the High Immortal Realm is more intimidating. Now, even though the Celestial Palace seems overwhelming, the situation will change completely once the Heavenly Alliance shows itself.”

”We only need to hide and endure this period.”

Xander Frost’s gaze fell on Wes Matthews: ”I don’t care what your starting point is. After we leave, take good care of the Demon Fiend Hall. That way, we’re hedging our bets and, no matter what, the Demon Fiend Hall won’t be implicated...”

Wes Matthews nodded, urging again, ”I will take care of it and wait for your news. You must leave quickly. I have heard that the Celestial Palace has its own unique Teleportation Array, capable of teleporting across the Immortal Domains. Once they start, they will arrive soon.”

Xander Frost laughed, ”Don’t worry. Currently, the Celestial Palace is only overseen by the Guard Commander Vance Holt of the Middle Celestial Stage. With Alfred Weaver’s prestige, even if she gathers her forces, those willing to truly serve her are few. We still have time...”

Just then, a talisman light flew in from outside, heading straight for Wes Matthews.

Wes Matthews reached out and caught the talisman light. After reading the attached information, his face showed uncertainty and doubt.

Xander Frost asked, ”What’s the matter?”

Wes Matthews raised his head, his eyes filled with confusion as he replied, ”Outside the mountain gate, an old and a young person have come, claiming to be descendants of my Matthew Family and requesting to see me...”

Fisher James frowned, ”Your Matthew Family has long been extinct, where would there be any family descendants?”

With those words, everyone’s expressions immediately changed.

Wes Matthews suddenly turned his head, looking at Xander Frost: ”It’s bad, these are likely people from the Celestial Palace. They probably received my information and have already sent people. These two are likely here to make contact and verify the situation...”

Xander Frost’s eyes flashed with a fierce light: ”Originally, we were going to leave quietly. Since they’re here, we have to meet them. Given our decision to join the Heavenly Alliance, being able to bring some entry gifts today would be beneficial for our future position!”

Wes Matthews was shocked: ”Hall Master, are you planning to attack them?”

Xander Frost nodded, his voice cold and decisive, ”If they are already here, leaving at this moment would easily trap us in their ambush. Instead, let’s lure them in, activate the Sect Killing Formation, and give them a big surprise!”

Wes Matthews’s face changed drastically: ”Hall Master, is this really feasible? What if the operation fails...”

Xander Frost turned to look at Wes Matthews, a smile on his face that made Wes Matthews uneasy: ”This is the matter of our Heavenly Alliance, what does it have to do with your Demon Fiend Hall?”
