Three Towers Game

Chapter 1200: Chapter 374: Yun Xinghe’s Demise (Part 3)

”But Yun Xinghe’s actions show that he’s not going to pay them any wages!”

”But we’re different. Our accumulated score is higher than Yun Xinghe’s team, yet our expedition was judged a success!”

”That in turn proves that as a boss, Boss Wen, you’re the kind of good boss who actually hands points over to the employees—you literally pay salaries!”

”As long as we make this clear, the people gathered around Yun Xinghe for profit will naturally walk away for profit!”

”No employee will be devoted to a boss who doesn’t treat them like human beings!”

”If a company wants to survive, the employees and the boss have to be of one mind. And the most fundamental core of that is... the boss has to treat employees as people, not as tools for squeezing points!”

Wen Xishu smiled:

”Congratulations, you’ve grasped the essence of the game.”

”On the surface, this game is about math. In essence, it’s about the human heart.”

”So write this down: I’m going to issue a declaration. I believe once they read it, those four will understand.”

Tang Zhe asked:

”What if, in order to keep his employees, Yun Xinghe chooses to give them points?”

Right after asking, Tang Zhe immediately answered himself:

”Once points are distributed, they can’t be taken back, so once Yun Xinghe gives them away... his score won’t be able to support further attacks.”

”That way, we get to live too!”

”Besides, there’s no way they’re fanatically loyal to Yun Xinghe. Even if they want to stick with him to fight us to the bitter end, they still have to think about Zone D, right?”

”Beating us doesn’t mean they win. Yun Xinghe’s team is doomed to lose. If they join us at that point, they can even help us dismantle Yun Xinghe’s offensive and become our meritorious contributors.”

”It’s all for points. Our side has higher pay, and we actually pay. There’s no reason not to help us, as long as we lay out the pros and cons!”

Wen Xishu spread his hands:

”Yes, I’ve already finished drafting the declaration.”

[Zone C issues a declaration to Zone A: Once a boss has no employees, it will be directly judged as a team failure. The reason Yun Xinghe was able to launch an expedition against our higher-scoring team while he had fewer points is that we hand points out to our employees. You’re welcome to come to Zone C and verify. Right now Yun Xinghe has launched one expedition, costing 20 points. Guess what—do you really think he’ll only launch one? Then guess again: if he launches another, that’s another 20 points gone. How much will you still have left to divvy up?

According to an earlier rule, the second expedition will directly deduct 30 points. With your team’s tiny population, can your points even hold out?]

...

...

Zone A.

When the declaration appeared, the four remaining employees looked at each other.

In fact, the rule that the second expedition would directly deduct 30 points was something Wen Xishu just made up on the spot.

He had never verified it.

Because Wen Xishu couldn’t get a successful expedition ruling against Zone A, and because he wasn’t sure whether ”expedition leveling up” was a unique reward only for the team that launched the first expedition.

Just like closing the dr-value query—that was something unique to Wen Xishu.

Secondly, Wen Xishu also couldn’t bear to spend points on hitting enemies.

But he still put that line in, because the employees had no way to verify it, and people don’t gamble with their own lives.

This line had massive killing power.

The four employees weren’t stupid; they quickly worked out the pros and cons.

Indeed, they only now noticed that Wen Xishu’s team had a higher score than Zone A, yet Zone A’s expedition had been judged successful.

So next, that line in the declaration—”we hand points out to employees”—became especially lethal and convincing.

Before leaving, Clark Kent had tried to get Yun Xinghe to hand out points so they could part on good terms, but Yun Xinghe clearly hadn’t.

At this moment, those memories resurfaced, and the four employees instantly understood where their interests lay.

If they stayed, they’d get no points and might even die!

Slip away to Zone D? As of now, they had no idea whether Zone D distributed points to employees!

The four employees all submitted resignation applications.

At that moment, Yun Xinghe was completely stunned.

”How could this happen?”

A chill crept up his back. He finally realized he might be about to lose.

He was clearly supposed to have intimidated Wen Xishu. This was clearly supposed to be a blow to Wen Xishu, forcing him to give up on winning through diplomacy and leaving him with only overtime as an option.

Overtime would earn Yun Xinghe points—that should’ve been a great virtuous cycle!

So why did it turn out like this? How did Wen Xishu dare to assert that once the boss has no employees, the team is judged a failure?

That said, after Yun Xinghe ran through the logic himself, he actually found it reasonable.

He glared at the declaration in fury, but his anger was gradually replaced by fear.

The first time was like this—just when he was about to win, Wen Xishu dodged it with diplomacy.

And the second time it was actually happening again!

Yun Xinghe’s hand was slamming down on the expedition button like crazy. He wanted nothing more than to convert all of his points into expeditions and wipe out Wen Xishu in one go.

But unfortunately, he couldn’t.

And after that, the four employees began to disappear one after another... heading for Zone C.

In the instant the employee count hit zero, Yun Xinghe’s breath caught. He, along with everyone participating in the game, all saw—

A horizontal notification banner appeared in everyone’s field of view.
