Three Towers Game

Chapter 1170: Chapter 364: Fierce Struggle (Part 2)

But twelve hours was still far too long.

By the eighth hour...

Wen Xishu could already feel that some people were starting to slowly fall behind.

Gao Lele was clearly a bit tired.

The difficulty of Gao Lele’s questions had been lowered, and the time allowed to solve them had also been extended.

But the more it was like this, the harder it was for him to pull himself together.

By contrast, guys like Turte and Clark, these bruisers, still had plenty of stamina.

Even though doing questions was a mental drain, their efficiency hadn’t dropped at all.

At this moment, Wen Xishu suddenly thought of...

These people might be perfect for earning overtime pay.

Employees may voluntarily apply for overtime. For every extra hour of work, they will immediately receive an additional 0.5 points that day. Those who perform exceptionally well will also receive... additional rewards.

This was verbatim what Wen Xishu had found when reading Scorpion Knife’s materials.

Of course, the true Overtime Saint Physique was Shen Changfeng, who didn’t even feel hunger or thirst.

This was the kind of iron man all bosses loved.

Shen Changfeng had been doing questions nonstop—no sleepiness, no hunger, no thirst, no need to relieve himself.

Leaving aside the difficulty of his questions, just the sheer number...

Was the highest in the entire room—he’d solved more than a thousand problems.

His problem-solving efficiency had remained high the whole time.

This was simply the template for a King of Grinding.

Shen Changfeng’s efficiency was frightening, but Li Weiwei was no slouch either. The questions Li Weiwei tackled were very difficult, and her efficiency wasn’t bad.

Her delicate makeup, even after ten hours, hadn’t been damaged in the slightest. Her face always carried a lazy composure.

This was almost impossible in reality.

But this was Three Towers Company. Many of the people working here were survivors who’d made it through the apocalypse.

They all had abilities beyond those of ordinary people.

Overall, Wen Xishu found his employees to be very reliable.

The twelfth hour ended quickly.

[Normal working hours are about to end. In thirty minutes, you may clock out. After clocking out, you will be transferred to the rest area.]

[On the first day, all personnel in Zone C completed normal work. Accuracy: qualified. Efficiency: qualified.]

[All personnel DR value -5 points.]

[All personnel HP value -5 points.]

[All personnel receive 1 reward point (including the boss). Current team points: 30. Points have been tallied to the boss; the boss must distribute the points before the end of the day.]

[All-hands work rate qualified. Reward: free dinner. The free dinner will restore the 5 HP consumed.]

[In one hour, the overtime application window will open. All employees may choose to work overtime two hours later, bringing more benefits to themselves and to the team, but overtime must be applied for, and the application must be approved by the boss.]

[At midnight, the scores of the four major groups will be announced.]

One after another, the employees put down their pens. Many of them stretched, rolled their necks, and tried to relieve their fatigue.

But for the select few elites who’d survived the brutal conditions of the apocalypse, they acted as if nothing had happened.

The group quickly headed to the rest area and had a fairly decent dinner.

The food at Three Towers Company was pretty good—not on the level of a high-end restaurant, but definitely better than what most people ate during the apocalypse.

Don’t be fooled by Li Weiwei’s exquisite looks and graceful manners—back in the apocalypse, she’d been driven into such a pathetic state that... she’d done things that still made her feel nauseated and helpless to this day.

Clark Kent had even eaten so many rats that he wanted to puke.

Faced with Three Towers Company’s food, they all felt it was a taste of heaven.

Twelve hours of work was still torture; most people had no intention of working overtime.

But Li Weiwei, Clark, and Shen Changfeng all sent in overtime applications.

Li Weiwei was very clear: to survive the apocalypse, you had to be valuable.

And what was the value of an employee? It was generating points.

Right now, the boss had thirty points in hand...

So would the boss evenly distribute the thirty points to everyone? Would Three Towers Company hire thirty people with identical scores?

Doesn’t the very existence of scores mean you’re supposed to compete for higher and lower?

She hadn’t become the boss, and she accepted that. After all, there was a monster who could kill the Red House around.

But if she were the boss, then in distributing the points, she would definitely give herself more.

So she had to work overtime in order to get more points.

And conveniently, Li Weiwei had exceptional stamina; overtime wasn’t much of a challenge for her.

Shen Changfeng had the same idea.

No food, no water, no sleep... He had zero combat talent, but when it came to playing the corporate game, no one could beat him.

Especially in this setup where work difficulty dynamically balanced out—didn’t that basically mean that in the end, everyone was competing purely on workload? In other words, willpower and stamina?

Thinking of this, Shen Changfeng was extremely excited.

As the boss, Wen Xishu quickly received three overtime application emails at his workstation.

Wen Xishu had his own thoughts about overtime.

In the war-strategy menu, there was only one option, called Expedition.

The effect of Expedition was this:

Those with high scores could suppress those with low scores, causing the lower-scoring group’s points on the next day to be reduced to 80%. But it cost 20 points to use.

Yes, there was competition between groups as well.

Wen Xishu could imagine the hiring criteria of Three Towers Company...

They would definitely start by screening people from the highest-scoring group.

No matter how many points you had, if you were in the losers’ bracket, you couldn’t get hired.

It was like certain sports awards: the MVP always came from the winning team.

Li Weiwei quickly received a reply, and her face turned a bit ashen.

Because Wen Xishu had given her a reply she couldn’t make sense of.
