”This level probably has very overpowered enemies. You all need to be careful. Enzo and I will move ahead, and you follow behind.”

”Also, without my instruction, Colonel Devon, you must not stand in front of me.”

”Listen, I can’t leave you behind, but I also don’t want any of you to die in the upcoming scenes. What everyone needs to do is to ensure their survival.”

[Team Coordination +5]

Wen Xishu saw the notification again. Coordination is not a meaningless stat; at critical times, it can save the team from having to communicate extensively.

Colonel Devon said:

”I understand, I’ll follow your lead, Commander.”

Wen Xishu nodded:

”After we rest for a while, let’s head out. Maybe in the next level... we’ll grasp more of the core secrets of the Balance Curse.”

Wen Xishu closed his eyes and began to relax.

The others, due to his calm demeanor, also felt less anxious.

Wen Xishu didn’t know how many more levels this game had, and if there were a dozen more...

It would be really difficult for him to continuously not abandon his teammates.

”Throughout this journey, everyone is fighting the Balance Curse, even regional bosses... Who knows if anyone has truly found a solution.”

In fact, some have—it’s simply about escaping, regardless of others’ lives. But the issue is, many ability users along the way have high moral standards.

Like Enzo, he can’t abandon the people in the town.

So he cannot escape.

Wen Xishu now resembles Enzo very much. If he didn’t care about human ties, they could be very carefree.

Wen Xishu, up till now, is not solely focused on a ”perfect completion.” He is unwilling to abandon Colonel Devon and others partly because he believes these people are worth keeping alive.

But because of this, he is instead trapped in a dilemma similar to that faced by scientists, and by Enzo.

Wen Xishu couldn’t help but wonder... whether the commander in the Desire Tower, in the end, also created a twisted region to fight the curse?

Could it be this very... game in front of us?

Scorpio might be just an auxiliary; the person who constructed this game might be someone else, after all, a constellation can’t directly construct an Obsession World.

Wen Xishu shook his head, admitting that his mind was somewhat confused.

...

Level Four.

Almost all levels occur in towns or cities.

Level Four’s map is vast, making Wen Xishu feel... as if he has arrived at the Slaughter Tower, at a certain city.

In the distance, many buildings can be seen exuding black aura and a few red aura.

Those are the Black House and the Red House.

Seeing these auras, Wen Xishu felt a shock; he was concerned about not having enough combat power to tackle the Red House.

Despite Albert’s capability to punch down opponents, for others, running might still be necessary.

Luckily, the Compass needle did not point towards the Red House.

Colonel Devon blocked in front of Nico, Borg, and Elsa, while the sniper Cavendish took up the rear.

Wen Xishu and Enzo walked at the forefront, capable of protecting both sides like guardian gods.

Enzo said:

”Wait a bit, let me make a drawing first.”

Wen Xishu nodded.

He has methods similar to a Compass, but Enzo has his own ways of detecting clues. Soon the value of the SSS-level hero would be evident.

In no time, Enzo’s hand moved rapidly with the brush, bringing forth a person Wen Xishu had seen before.

A child in a light blue suit appeared in Enzo’s drawing.

Wen Xishu contemplated... isn’t this Scorpio?

Enzo said:

”Ever since I discovered that making wishes to God is not as effective as this little boy, I’ve been drawing him whenever I faced a problem.”

Wen Xishu found it amusing, and indeed... it’s quite effective.

In this world, genie lamps, divine dragons, nothing worked as well as directly drawing a constellation.

The boy in the drawing soon exhibited movement, gracefully stepping out of the scroll, and came to life!

Wen Xishu was shocked by Enzo’s ability at this moment, amazed that perhaps he encountered Sai while chasing episodes!

”Don’t expect him to fight; just ask simple questions... anything too complex may fail,” Enzo said.

Scorpio, drawn out, also said:

”Yeah, brother, I’m only drawn this time, barely having one-thousandth of my true abilities, just ask me questions, but don’t count on me to deal with Libra.”

Wen Xishu was shocked anew.

This tone was exactly like Scorpio’s.

Not only was Wen Xishu surprised, but Enzo was a bit astonished too.

Enzo looked as if he’d seen a ghost, partly due to this Scorpio calling Wen Xishu brother.

On the other hand, things seemed even more off.

He thought to himself: something’s not right, this time I clearly rushed the drawing... logically it shouldn’t reach my peak level, yet why—he speaks even more fluidly?

In previous instances, when Enzo drew Scorpio, they could indeed speak and answer questions.

But speech was often stuttering, intermittent, sometimes getting stuck, and actions were slightly stiff. Not to mention the expression of emotions and intonation while speaking.

But this time, even though he was quite hasty in drawing, the boy’s tone and reactions were remarkably natural and real.

”Don’t count on me to face Libra,”—even carrying a hint of teasing.

Enzo looked at his hands:

Could it be that my skills have improved?

Wen Xishu’s attention was not on Enzo, he did not notice anything off about Enzo. He assumed this is just Enzo’s ability.

He merely felt that Enzo was incredibly strong.
